Cover Drive unleash new single “Love Junkie”

Cover Drive have unleashed their new single online.

“Love Junkie” marks the first promotional single from the group’s upcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album.

The track – available for download from July 29 – was written by band members Amanda Reifer, T-Ray Armstrong, Jamar Harding and Barry Hill along with Keta, who previously teamed up with the Cover Drive on “Liming in Limbo” tracks “Lovesick Riddim,” “Easy Life” and “Welcome to Me.”

As previously reported, the Bajan quartet’s highly-anticipated new album is expected to be released later this year. It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Bajan Style,” which debuted at number fourteen on the UK Albums Chart.

That collection also boasted productions from Quiz & Larossi (Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson), Future Cut (Rihanna, Joss Stone), Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem (Usher, Jason Derulo) and Steve Mac (The Saturdays, One Direction).

Geri Halliwell announces new single ‘Half of Me’

Geri Halliwell has announced the details of her new single.

The British singer/songwriter will release “Half of Me” as the lead single from her upcoming as-yet-untitled fourth studio album.

The track was co-written and produced by Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci of DNA, who are also responsible for singles “Firestarter” by Samantha Jade and “Come with Me” by Ricky Martin.

Meanwhile, the new collection by Halliwell serves as the follow-up to 2005’s “Passion” [EMI Music Group / Innocence Records]. That released yielded two hit singles in the shape of “Desire” and the Quiz & Larossi-produced “Ride It.”

Cover Drive have premiered the music video for their new single online.

“Lovesick Riddim” is taken from the group’s upcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Bajan Style.”

The track will be available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets on September 8th, 2013.

As previously reported, the new collection by Cover Drive will boast productions and songwriting contributions from Quiz & Larossi (Kelly Clarkson, Alexandra Burke), Ina Wroldsen (Shontelle, Leona Lewis), Supa Dups (Drake, Bruno Mars), Angela Hunte (Ledisi, Jennifer Hudson) and Boi-1da (Eminem, Kelly Rowland).

Cover Drive have released the official lyric video for their new single online.

“Lovesick Riddim” is slotted for inclusion on the Bajan quartet’s upcoming sophomore album, for which no release date has been scheduled yet.

The track serves as the follow-up to “All My Love,” co-written by Ina Wroldsen of Ask Embla (Leona Lewis, Britney Spears) and produced by Andreas “Quiz” Romdhane and Josef Larossi (Tanya Lacey, Kelly Clarkson).

Cover Drive’s debut album “Bajan Style” was released in 2012 via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records. It delivered four hit singles in the shape of “Lick Ya Down,” “Twilight,” “Sparks” and “Explode (featuring Dappy).”

Among the musicians backing the group – consisting of members Amanda Reifer, T. Ray Armstrong, Jamar Harding and Barry Hill – on the new collection are Angela Hunte (Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora), Dwayne “Supa Dups” Chin-Quee (Estelle, Bonnie McKee) and Matthew “Boi-1da” Samuels (Drake, Chris Brown).

Cover Drive have reunited with hitmakers Supa Dups and Boi-1da for their upcoming sophomore album, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Bajan Style” [Universal Music Group / Polydor Records].

The songwriting and production duo previously teamed up with the Barbadian quartet – consisting of members Amanda Reifer, T. Ray Armstrong, Jamar Harding and Barry Hill – on the Ali Tamposi-assisted “Can’t Live in a World.”

Other credits by Supa Dups – Born Dwayne Chin-Quee – include “Smoke the Weed” by Snoop Lion [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records], “Show Me” by Bruno Mars [Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records] and “Around the World” by Christina Aguilera [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records].

Meanwhile, Boi-1da – real name Matthew Samuels – has recently contributed to tracks such as “Red Wine” by Kelly Rowland [Universal Music Group / Republic Records], “Bad Decisions” by Trey Songz [Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records] and “High School” by Nicki Minaj [Cash Money / Republic Records].

In addition to Supa Dups and Boi-1da, the new collection by Cover Drive is expected to yield additional collaborations from Angela Hunte (Rita Ora, Neon Hitch), James “Jim Beanz” Washington (Britney Spears, Cheryl Cole), Tanya Lacey (Dionne Bromfield, Nikki Williams), Quiz & Larossi (Alexandra Burke, Kelly Clarkson) and Ina Wroldsen (Leona Lewis, Sophie Ellis Bextor).

A*M*E has recently recorded new material with Richard X for her upcoming as-yet-untitled debut album, which is scheduled for release later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The British songwriter and producer – real name Richard Philips – is known for helming hit singles “Finest Things” by Kelis [EMI Music Group / Virgin Records], “Freak Like Me” by Sugababes [Universal Music Group / Island Records] and “Being Nobody” by Liberty X [EMI Music Group / V2 Records].

His other credits include Will Young [RCA Records], Rachel Stevens [Polydor Records], Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records], Sophie Ellis Bextor [Fascination Records], M.I.A. [Interscope Records], Alesha Dixon [Asylum Records], Sam Sparro [Virgin Records] and Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor Records].

A*M*E is scheduled to collaborate with Erika Nuri for her upcoming debut album on Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

Nuri is responsible for co-writing singles including “Wings” by Little Mix [Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records] and “When I See You” by Fantasia Barrino [Sony Music Entertainment / J Records].

She also collaborated with A-list musicians including Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Nadir “RedOne” Khayat, Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, Harmony “H-Money” Samuels, Nathaniel “Danja” Hills, Peter Kelleher, Ben Kohn, Thomas Barnes, Kevin “Dirty Swift” Risto and Waynne “Bruce Waynne” Nugent.

Meanwhile, A*M*E – real name Aminata “Amy” Kabba – was recently featured on Duke Dumont’s hit single “Need U (100%),” which is on course to top the UK official singles chart this Sunday. The track was co-written by MNEK, who previously teamed up with the A*M*E on “Ride or Die” and “City Lights.”
