Raye drafts Mabel, Stefflon Don for new promotional single “Cigarette”

British singer/songwriter Raye has drafted fellow recording artists Mabel and Stefflon Don for her new promotional single “Cigarette,” which is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Cigarette” were collectively handled by Ryan “Charlie Handsome” Vojtesak (Khalid, Normani Kordei) alongside Nicholas Audino, Te Whiti Warbick and Lewis Hughes of Twice As Nice (Rihanna, Ella Mai).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Raye’s upcoming project – featuring the Jin Jin-penned / Fraser T. Smith-produced “Decline” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

On the songwriting front, Raye recently co-wrote “Capital Letters” for Hailee Steinfeld alongside Ellie Goulding, Andrew Jackson, Ely Weisfeld, and Michael “BloodPop” Tucker. The track appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “Fifty Shades Freed,” out now via Republic Records.

Raye’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Madison Beer (“Home with You”), Tara Carosielli (“Money”), Charli XCX (“After the Afterparty”), Dev (“Come at Me”), Little Mix (“If I Get My Way”), Blonde (“All Cried Out”), M.O (“Not in Love”), Snakehips (“Don’t Leave”) and Matoma (“The Wave”).

Madison Beer has unleashed her debut mini-album online.

“As She Pleases” – featuring promotional singles “Say it To My Face” “Dead” – is now available via is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project boasts productions from Kinetics & One Love (Hailee Steinfeld), Michael Leary (Melanie Martinez), Laconic (Tom Grennan), Fred Gibson (Charli XCX), Big Taste (Maty Noyes), German (Nick Jonas), Fred Ball (Justine Skye) and The Monsters & Strangerz (Fifth Harmony).

On the songwriting front, Beer has teamed up with Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Yebba Smith), Raye (Tara Carosielli), Madison Love (Camila Cabello), Brittany “Delacey” Amaradio (Demi Lovato) and Sarah Aarons (Demi Lovato).

Hailee Steinfeld has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The Hannah Lux Davis-directed clip for “Capital Letters” was posted Fifty Shades’ Vevo channel on Wednesday (January 31, 2018).

Co-written by Ellie Goulding, Raye, Andrew Jackson, Ely Weisfeld and BloodPop, “Capital Letters” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track appears on the upcoming original motion picture soundtrack “Fifty Shades Freed,” which will arrive on February 9th via Republic Records.

The highly-anticipated collection boasts further guest appearances from Rita Ora & Liam Payne (“For You”), Jessie Reyez (“Sacrifice”), Julia Michaels (“Heaven”), Kiana Lede (“Big Spender”), Sabrina Claudio (“Cross Your Mind”), Dua Lipa (“High”) and Shungudzo (“Come on Back”).

Mabel hits the studio with Corey Sanders, Jonny Coffer

Swedish singer/songwriter Mabel McVey, known mononymously as Mabel, has teamed up with Corey Sanders and Jonny Coffer for a new collaboration.

Sanders recently co-wrote “You are the Reason” for British recording artist Calum Scott alongside regular collaborator Jon Maguire. The Fraser T. Smith-produced track appears on Scott’s upcoming debut album “Only Human,” which will arrive on March 9th via Capitol Records.

Meanwhile, Coffer’s songwriting/production resume boasts works with Beyonce (“Freedom”), Emeli Sande (“Shakes”), Rag’n’Bone Man (“Skin”), Jess Glynne (“No Rights, No Wrongs”), James Arthur (“Get Down”), Weezer (“Feels Like Summer”) and Fall Out Boy (“Hold Me Tight or Don’t”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mabel’s upcoming project – featuring the Marlon Roudette-assisted / JD Reid-produced “Fine Line” – is expected to arrive later this year via Polydor Records.

Ray BLK signs new deal with Island Records

British singer/songwriter Rita Ekwere, professionally known as Ray BLK, has inked a new deal with Island Records UK.

The Universal Music imprint also houses artists including Ariana Grande, Sigrid, JP Cooper, Drake, Mollie King, Bibi Bourelly, Cosima, AlunaGeorge, Hailee Steinfeld, Marlon Roudette, and Jessie Ware, amongst others.

As mentioned in earlier posts, BLK is expected to release her upcoming project and follow-up to 2016’s “Durt” – featuring the Gina Kushka and Tom Havelock-penned / Jimmy Napes-produced “Doing Me” – later this year.

“Proud” – which was co-written by fellow recording artist Rachel “Raye” Keen alongside Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Fridolin “Freedo” Walcher – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.
