Nicki Minaj unleashes new album “Queen”

Nicki Minaj has unleashed her fourth studio collection.

“Queen” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2014’s “The Pinkprint” boasts guest appearances from Foxy Brown (“Coco Chanel”), The Weeknd (“Thought I Knew You”), Ariana Grande (“Bed”), Future (“Sir”), Swae Lee (“Chun Swae”), Lil Wayne (“Rich Sex”) and Eminem & Labrinth (“Majesty”).

On the songwriting and production front, Minaj has worked with Cirkut, Starrah, J. Reid, Boi-1da, Supa Dups, Ben Billions, LunchMoney Lewis, Murda Beatz, Sevn Thomas, Metro Boomin, Rasool Diaz, Mike WiLL Made It, JMike, Kane Beatz, Frank Dukes, Christopher Braide, and Mel & Mus.

Normani Kordei drafts Joel Little, Teddy Geiger for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Normani Kordei has drafted Joel Little and Teddy Geiger for a new collaboration.

Little is known for co-writing and producing singles performed by Shawn Mendes (“Youth”), Daya (“Safe”), Kesha (“This is Me”), Bebe Rexha (“The Way I Are”), Lorde (“Green Light”) and Khaled (“Young, Dumb & Broke”).

Meanwhile, Geiger’s songwriting and production resume boasts works with Christina Aguilera (“Unless it’s With You”), Sean Paul (“Jump On It”), Anne-Marie (“Machine”), Tiesto (“Summer Nights”) and James Blunt (“Bartender”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Normani is currently working on her debut project under Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields additional alliances with Nova Wav, Sevn Thomas, Raye, Jahaan Sweet, Victoria Monet, D’Mile, Caroline Ailin, Justin Tranter, KiTo, Boi-1da, Tayla Parx, August Rigo, Starrah, London on Da Track, Nija Charles, Rasool Diaz, Jorgen Odegard, and Stargate.

Elijah Blake shares “Everyday” music video

Elijah Blake has shared the music video for his new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the Sean Alexander-directed clip for “Everyday” to his Vevo channel on Wednesday (September 30, 2015).

“Everyday” was co-written by Blake along with Jazmyn Michel (Chris Brown, Keri Hilson), Andre Proctor (Beyonce, Nicki Minaj), Rasool Diaz (Teyana Taylor, Lil Wayne) and Brian Soko (Tinashe, Kendrick Lamar).

Blake’s debut studio collection “Shadows & Diamonds” – featuring further collaborations with Happy Perez, Salaam Remi, Illangelo, No ID, James Poyser, and Christopher “C4” Umana – is out now via Def Jam Recordings.

On the songwriting front, Blake – real name Sean Fenton – has reportedly contributed to the next projects by Rihanna [Roc Nation], Kehlani [Atlantic], Snoh Aalegra [Epic] and Gabi Wilson [RCA].

His previous credits include Cover Drive’s “Headphones” [Polydor], Justin Bieber’s “Though of You” [Island], Usher’s “Climax” [RCA], Ciara’s “DUI” [Epic] and Keyshia Cole’s “I Choose You” [Interscope].

Kelly Rowland has debuted a new song online.

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Mommy’s Little Baby (A Lullaby)” to her official SoundCloud page on Monday (November 10, 2014).

“Mommy Little Baby (A Lullaby)” was produced by Verse Simmonds along with Brian Soko, Rasool Diaz and Andre Proctor of The Order, who are also responsible for Teyana Taylor’s “Maybe” and Tinashe’s “Pretend.”

Rowland’s last album, “Talk a Good Game,” peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It also delivered two hit singles in the shape of “Kisses Down Low” and “Dirty Laundry.”

In addition, she provided background vocals on Tank’s single “You’re My Star,” which is now available for download via iTunes.

Her next studio collection is expected to be released during the first quarter of 2015. The still-untitled project reportedly yields contributions from Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Diane Warren, The-Dream, Bloodline and Dem Jointz.

Beyoncé has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

“Drunk in Love” marks the first promotional single in the US from the singer/songwriter’s latest album, “Beyoncé,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Parkwood Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The track was written by Beyoncé Knowles along with Noel “Detail” Fisher, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, Andre Eric Proctor, Rasool Diaz, Brian Soko, Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley and Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon.

Video treatment was handled by Hype Williams, who previously teamed up with the artist on singles “Blow,” “Video Phone” and “Check On It.”

Other notable credits by Williams include “Glowing” by Nikki Williams [Island Records], “Va Va Voom” by Nicki Minaj [Republic Records] and “Put It Down” by Brandy f/Chris Brown [RCA Records].

Beyoncé has announced the details for her new US single.

The singer/songwriter christened “Drunk in Love” – which features Jay-Z – as the first promotional single from her self-titled album.

The track was written by Beyoncé Knowles along with Noel Fisher, Shawn Carter, Andre Eric Proctor, Rasool Diaz, Briano Soko, Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley, and Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon.

Production duties were handled by Knowles and Boots along with Detail, who is also responsible for singles “Ice” by Kelly Rowland [Republic Records] and “Sex for Breakfast” by Christina Aguilera [RCA Records].

“Beyoncé” serves as the follow-up to 2011’s “4,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered hit singles including “Countdown,” “Love on Top” and “Dance for You.”
