Arlissa taps James “Malay” Ho for new collaboration

American-German singer/songwriter Arlissa Ruppert, known mononymously as Arlissa, has tapped Malay for a new collaboration.

The Grammy award-winning record producer and songwriter (born James Ho) has previously worked with Sam Smith (“Midnight Train”), Frank Ocean (“Nikes”), Zayn Malik (“It’s You”), Alessia Cara (“Wild Things”), Tori Kelly (“Talk”), Alicia Keys (“One Thing”) and John Legend (“Green Light”).

Fans of Malay’s songwriting and production works should also keep an eye on the next releases by Jazmine Sullivan, Zhavia Ward, Fletcher, Lennon Stella, Kai, Ingrid Andress, and RuthAnne.

Meanwhile, Arlissa’s current single “We Won’t Move” – which was co-written by Jessica “Harloe” Karpov and produced by Kevin White and Mike Woods of Rice N Peas – appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “The Hate U Give.”

Her upcoming debut project under Def Jam Recordings reportedly yields further contributions from Jesse Shatkin, RyKeyz, Geoffrey Warburton, Martin Sjolie, Sam Fischer, Lostboy, Andre Harris, Martin Terefe, Jonny Hockings, T-Collar, Pip Kembo, Stint, Kameron Grae, and Wrabel.

Anne-Marie teams up with Louis Bell for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Anne-Marie Nicholson, professionally known as Anne-Marie, has teamed up with Louis Bell for a new collaboration.

The American record producer and songwriter is responsible for helming singles including “Havana” (Camila Cabello), “Rockstar” (Post Malone), “Wolves” (Selena Gomez), “I’ll Be There” (Jess Glynne), “Without Me” (Halsey), “Lost in Japan” (Shawn Mendes) and “Think About Us” (Little Mix).

Bell’s extensive resume boasts additional works with Justin Bieber (“Let Me Love You”), Selena Gomez (“It Ain’t Me”), Julia Michaels (“Into You”), Chris Brown (“Hands Up”), Bebe Rexha (“Steady”), Rita Ora (“Only Want You”), Cardi B (“Through Your Phone”) and 21 Savage (“All My Friends”).

Meanwhile, Anne-Marie’s current promotional single “Perfect to Me” – which was co-written by Jennifer Decilveo and Levi Lennox alonside Mike Woods and Kevin White of Rice n Peas – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

On the follow-up to 2018’s “Speak Your Mind,” Anne-Marie has also worked with songwriters and producers Fred Ball (Madonna, Hailee Steinfeld), Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Ella Eyre, Craig David), TMS (Era Istrefi, Dua Lipa) and Eyelar Mirzazadeh (Raye, Charli XCX).

Little Mix reveal details for new album “LM5”

Little Mix have revealed the details for their upcoming album.

The British quartet – composed of Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards – have dubbed their fifth studio collection “LM5” and will release it on November 16 via Syco Music / Columbia Records.

Lead promotional single “Woman Like Me” – which was written by Jess Glynne alongside Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

On the follow-up to 2016’s “Glory Days,” Little Mix have also worked with producers Electric, Chris Loco, Goldfingers, Martin Sjolie, Youthonix, Jez Ashurst, Rice N’ Peas, Fred Ball, TMS, Captain Cuts, Tre Jean-Marie, MNEK, Red Triangle, Freedo, Yei Gonzalez, and Banx & Ranx.

Among the songwriters expected to appear on “LM5” are Kamille, Jenna Andrews, Plested, Shungudzo, Casey Smith, JHart, Sarah Hudson, Nija Charles, Boy Matthews, James Newman, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Jessica Agombar, Patrick Patrikious, Sinead Harnett, Rachel Furner, Justin Tranter, Michael Pollack, Johan Franson, Shakka, Iain James, and Chelcee Grimes.

Arlissa teams with Sinai Tedros, Lostboy for new collaboration

Arlissa has teamed up with Sinai Tedros and Lostboy for a new collaboration.

Sinai – whose singles “Drive” and “Race Horse” are now available via all digital streaming outlets – previously co-wrote “Hearts Ain’t Gonna Lie” for Arlissa alongside Jonathan Clare and James Tadgell of All About She. The Jonas Blue-produced cut peaked to number eight on the US Billboard Dance Songs Chart.

Meanwhile, Lostboy’s songwriting and production resume boasts works with Becky Hill (“Sunrise in the East”), Sigala (“Revival”), Anne-Marie (“Used to Love You”), Marlon Roudette (“Ultra Love”), Sarah Close (“Call Me Out”), Lauren Faith (“Let Them Talk”) and MAAD (“Wonderland”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Arlissa is currently working on her upcoming debut album under Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers productions and songwriting contributions from Andre Harris, Carmen Reece, Sidnie Tipton, Pip Kembo, T-Collar, Martin Sjolie, Anita Blay, Jonny Hockings, Knightstarr, Digital Farm Animals, Malay, Ari PenSmith, Fred Ball, Carassius Gold, and Martin Terefe.

Arlissa has liberated her new promotional single online.

“We Won’t Move” – taken from the original motion picture soundtrack “The Hate U Give” – is now available via all digital streaming outlets.

The track was produced by Kevin White and Mike Woods of Rice N Peas and co-written by Jessica “Harloe” Karpov, whose other credits include Kelly Clarkson’s “I Don’t Think About You,” Olivia Holt’s “Thin Air,” Charli XCX’s “Secret,” Madison Beer’s “Unbreakable,” and Britney Spears’ “Love Me Down.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Arlissa is currently working on her upcoming debut album under Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.

Little Mix enlist Martin Sjolie for fifth album

Little Mix have enlisted Martin Sjolie for a new collaboration.

The Norwegian musician is known for helming “Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Strangers,” “Fake Friends,” and “High Five” for Island Recording artist Sigrid.

Fans of Sjolie’s songwriting and production works should also keep an eye on the next projects by Astrid S, Elderbrook, Grace Carter, Alice Chater, Jones, Sarah Close, Raye, Ella Henderson, L Devine, and Arlissa.

Meanwhile, Little Mix are scheduled to release their fifth studio collection later this year via Syco Music (US) and Columbia Records (UK).

The follow-up to 2016’s “Glory Days” reportedly boasts further productions from Banx & Ranx, Kid Joki, Thomas “Earwulf” Eriksen, Captain Cuts, The Electric, MNEK, Goldfingers, Chris Loco, Fred Ball, TMS, Red Triangle, Jez Ashurst, Tre Jean-Marie, Fridolin “Freedo” Walcher, and Rice N Peas.

Little Mix hit the studio with Banx & Ranx

Little Mix have added Banx & Ranx to the list of contributors for their upcoming fifth album under Syco Music and Columbia Records.

The Canadian production duo – composed of Yannick Rastogi and Zacharie Raymond – recently collaborated with Ella Eyre on the track “Answerphone,” which peaked to number seven on the UK Singles Chart.

Banx & Ranx have also recorded tracks with artists including Olly Murs (“Kiss Me”), KStewart (“Sex for Breakfast”), Sean Paul (“Mad Love”), Raye (“Thinking About You”) and Dua Lipa (“Kiss and Make Up”).

Other producers backing Little Mix on the follow-up to 2016’s “Glory Days” are Rice N Peas, Kid Joki, Earwulf, Captain Cuts, Electric, MNEK, Goldfingers, Chris Loco, Fred Ball, Red Triangle, Jez Ashurst, Tre Jean-Marie, Freedo, and TMS.
