FKA twigs taps Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Tahliah Barnett, professionally known as FKA twigs, has tapped Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat for a new collaboration.

The songwriting and production duo are responsible for Avicii’s “Lonely Together,” Camila Cabello’s “Crying in the Club,” Jessie Ware’s “Selfish Love,” Tory Lanez’s “Luv,” MØ’s “Nights with You,” and Halsey’s “Now or Never.”

Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat have also worked with Ariana Grande (“Be My Baby”), Jhene Aiko (“Never Call Me”), The Weeknd (“True Colors”), Miguel (“Going to Hell”), Ryn Weaver (“OctaHate”) and Kanye West (“Ghost Town”).

Meanwhile, twigs is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album later this year via Young Turks Recordings.

The follow-up to 2014’s “LP1” reportedly yields additional productions and songwriting contributions from Sia, Rick Nowels, Ariel Rechtshaid, Two Inch Punch, Andrew Wyatt, Levi Lennox, and Hit-Boy.

Lykke Li releases new album “So Sad So Sexy”

Lykki Li has released her new album online.

“So Sad So Sexy” – featuring singles “Deep End,” “Hard Rain,” “Utopia,” “Sex Money Feelings Die” and “Two Nights” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2014’s “I Never Learn” boasts songwriting contributions from Rick Nowels, Koz, Ilsey Juber, Sarah Aarons, and Andrew Wyatt.

On the production front, Li has teamed up with Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie, Rostam Batmanglij, T-Minus, Malay, Jonny Coffer, Skrillex, Ali Payami, DJ Dahi, Kid Harpoon, and Illangelo.

Sabrina Claudio drafts Khalid for new single “Don’t Let Me Down”

American singer/songwriter Sabrina Claudio has drafted fellow recording artist Khalid for her new promotional single.

“Don’t Let Me Down” – which was collectively helmed by Sad Money alongside Nasri Atweh and Adam Messinger of The Messingers – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Claudio’s next project – featuring the Sad Money and Kaveh Rastegar-produced lead single “All to You” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Artist Partner Group and Atlantic Records.

The follow-up to 2017’s “About Time” reportedly delivers additional alliances with Rick Nowels, Stephan Moccio, Chris Loco, Maths Time Joy, Scribz Riley, Kurtis “K9” McKenzie, Free School, Roget Chahayed, Two Inch Punch, Stint, Oren Yoel, Teddy Walton, and AFTERHRS.

The American record producer, born Chauncey Hollis, is known for his works with Beyonce (“Bow Down”), Kelly Rowland (“Lay it On Me”), Mary J. Blige (“Stronger”), Rihanna (“Watch n’ Learn”), Nicki Minaj (“Feeling Myself”), Mariah Carey (“Thirsty”), Tinashe (“Joyride”) and Chloe x Halle (“Red Lights”).

Meanwhile, twigs is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album is scheduled to arrive later this year via Young Turks Recordings.

Kali Uchis confirms details for new album

Kali Uchis has confirmed the details for her upcoming album.

The Colombian singer/songwriter, born Karly-Marina Loaiza, christened her next studio collection “Isolation” and will release it on April 6th via Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records.

Current promotional single “After the Storm” – featuring Tyler, The Creator and Bootsy Collins – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Additional tracks slotted for inclusion on “Isolation” are “Body Language,” “Coming Home,” “Dead to Me,” “Feel Like a Fool,” “Gotta Get Up,” “In My Dreams,” “Killer,” “Teeth in My Neck,” “Tomorrow,” and “Just a Stranger.”

On the songwriting and production front, Uchis has reportedly teamed up with Greg Kurstin, Damon Albarn, Josh Crocker, Autumn Rowe, Wayne Gordon, Sam Romans, Linda Perry, Rick Nowels, and Sounwave.

FKA twigs reunites with Rick Nowels for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Tahliah Barnett, professionally known as FKA twigs, has reunited with Rick Nowels for a new collaboration.

Nowels previously co-wrote and co-produced “Good to Love” for twigs, which is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Recent credits by Nowels also include Lana Del Rey’s “Love,” Dua Lipa’s “Lost in Your Light,” Kesha’s “Hunt You Down,” Foxes’ “Wicked Love,” Melanie C’s “Unravelling,” and Adele’s “Why Do You Love Me?”

Meanwhile, FKA twigs is expected to release her sophomore studio collection – featuring further contributions from Sia, Andrew Wyatt, Levi Lennox, and Timmaz “Tic” Zolleyn – later this year via Young Turks Recordings.

The still-untitled project follows 2014’s “LP1,” which peaked to number thirty on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned alliances with Emile Haynie (“Two Weeks”), Dev Hynes (“Hours”), Sampha (“Numbers”), Joel Compass (“Kicks”), Paul Epworth (“Pendulum”) and Arca (“Lights On”).
