Jean Baptiste Kouame hints at new collaboration with Fergie

Jean Baptiste Kouame has hinted at a new collaboration with Fergie.

“Chillen with @Fergie. Wait for it,” Koaume posted to his Twitter account on Thursday (May 20, 2015).

The record producer and songwriter is responsible for will.i.am’s “Scream and Shout” f/ Britney Spears [Interscope Records], Miley Cyrus’ “Do My Thang” [RCA Records] and Rihanna’s “Photographs” [Def Jam Recordings].

He also contributed to the next projects by Chris Brown [RCA Records], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records], Jason Derulo [Beluga Heights / Warner Bros Records] and Becky Hill [Parlophone Records].

Meanwhile, Fergie is expected to release her sophomore album later this year under Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2006’s “The Dutchess,” which peaked to number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “London Bridge” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”

Other musicians backing Fergie on the keenly-awaited CD are DJ Mustard (Omarion, Keyshia Cole), Rock City (Ciara, Nicki Minaj). Mike WiLL Made It (Brandy, Mariah Carey) and RoccStar (Usher, John Legend).

Fifth Harmony reunite with Taylor Parks for new music

Fifth Harmony has recorded new material with Taylor Parks.

It is yet to be known whether the session was intended for future re-release of Fifth Harmony’s debut album “Reflection” or their next studio collection.

Parks previously co-wrote “Bo$$” for Fifth Harmony along with Jacob “JKash” Kasher and Gamal “LunchMoney” Lewis. The Ricky Reed-produced track peaked to number forty three on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Other songwriting credits by Parks include Mariah Carey’s “Infinity” [Epic], Jennifer Lopez’s “So Good” [Capitol], Ariana Grande’s “My Everything” [Republic] and Keyshia Cole’s “Rick James” [Interscope].

She also collaborated with top record producers Toby Gad (Brandy, Ella Henderson), Eric Hudson (Trey Songz, Whitney Houston), RoccStarr (Beyonce, John Legend) and Tommy Brown (Victoria Monet, Amber Riley).

Meanwhile, Fifth Harmony’s debut album “Reflection” – featuring current promotional cut “Worth It” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Syco Music and Epic Records.

John Legend hits the studio with RoccStar for new music

John Legend has teamed up with RoccStar on new material.

“Currently making history with my brother @JohnLegend, it is a blessing to create with a fellow creator and inspire with one who inspires so many! This record will be massive,” Roccstar posted to his Instagram account.

The record producer and songwriter is known for helming Chris Brown’s “Fine China” [RCA Records], Jennifer Lopez’s “Acting Like That” f/ Iggy Azalea [Capitol Records] and Jasmine V’s “I Love Your Crazy” [Interscope Records].

He also contributed to the next projects by Fergie [Interscope Records], Zendaya [Hollywood Records], Usher [RCA Records], CeeLo Green [Warner Bros Records] and Prince Royce [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, Legend is expected to release his fifth studio collection later this year under Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The still-untitled CD reportedly features further collaborations with James “Malay” Ho (Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean) and Alex Da Kid (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj).

Legend’s last album, 2013’s “Love in the Future,” debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Who Do We Think We Are,” “All of Me” and “You & I (Nobody in the World).”

Furthermore, Legend serves as the executive producer for Stacy Barthe’s upcoming debut album “Becoming.” The keenly-awaited project will hit stores later this year via Homeschool Records and Motown Records.

Zendaya collaborates with Deputy for sophomore album

Zendaya has collaborated with Deputy for her upcoming sophomore album.

“Just sat down with @Zendaya in the studio… Deputy and Zendaya coming soon,” the record producer tweeted on Monday (April 27, 2015).

Deputy is known for producing Rihanna’s hit single “Bitch Better Have My Money” along with Travis Scott, WondaGurl and Kanye West.  The track is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Roc Nation Records.

His resume also includes works with A-list musicians such as Wale [Atlantic Records], J. Cole [Columbia Records], Ne-Yo [Motown Records], Rick Ross [Maybach Music Group] and The-Dream [Capitol Records].

Meanwhile, Zendaya is expected to release her second studio collection later this year under Hollywood Records. The still-untitled project follows 2013’s “Zendaya,” which spawned international hit single “Replay.”

Other producers associated with the new album are Babyface (Beyonce, Mariah Carey), Timbaland (Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake), Jim Beanz (Keri Hilson, Jennifer Hudson) and RoccStar (Fergie, Jennifer Lopez).

Singer and actress Zendaya has recently recorded new material with Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley, James “Jim Beanz” Washington and Talay Riley.

“Latest nights were my greatest nights @timbaland @talayriley @beanzbeanzbeanz,” she posted to her Instagram account.

Riley is known for co-writing Wilkinson’s “Afterglow” f/ Becky Hill [Virgin EMI Records], Nathan Sykes’ “More Than You’ll Ever Know” [Global Entertainment] and Ellie Goulding’s “In My City” [Polydor Records].

He also confirmed placements on the next projects by Usher [RCA Records], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records], Tamera Foster [Syco Music] and Jason Derulo [Beluga Heights / Warner Bros. Records].

Meanwhile, Timbaland and Beanz have served as prominent producers and songwriters for the original motion picture soundtrack, “Empire,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Their other credits include Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater” [Geffen Records], Danity Kane’s “Want It” [Atlantic Records], Jennifer Hudson’s “Pocketbook” [J Records] and Demi Lovato’s “All Night Long” f/ Missy Elliot [Hollywood Records].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Zendaya is scheduled to release her sophomore album later this year under Hollywood Records. The still-untitled LP follows 2013’s “Zendaya,” which spawned international hit single “Replay.”

Zendaya has enlisted the songwriting and production services of Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Antonio “Tony” Dixon and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes for her upcoming sophomore album.

The trio are responsible for Ariana Grande’s “Honeymoon Avenue” [Republic Records], RaVaughn’s “Best Friend” [Columbia Records] and Jessica Mauboy’s “Can I Get a Moment” [Sony Music Entertainment Australia].

Edmonds, Dixon and Riddick-Tynes also contributed to the next projects by Foxes [RCA Records], Jess Glynne [Atlantic Records], Samantha Jade [Sony Music Australia] and Keri Hilson [Interscope Records].

Meanwhile, Zendaya is expected to release her next studio collection and follow-up to her self-titled debut album later this year via Hollywood Records.

The still-untitled project features additional alliances with RoccStar (Beyonce, Chris Brown), Tiffany Fred (Pixie Lott, Tamar Braxton), Patrick “J. Que” Smith (Ciara, Jennifer Lopez) and Taylor Parks (Tori Kelly, Jason Derulo).

Usher hits the studio with Dapo Torimiro for new album?

Usher has recorded new material with Dapo Torimiro.

It is yet to be known whether the session was intended for Usher’s upcoming eighth album under Sony Music Entertainment imprint RCA Records.

Torimiro recently co-wrote and produced “1996” for Ella Henderson. The track appears on the British singer/songwriter’s debut album, “Chapter One,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Syco Music.

Other notable songwriting and production duties by Torimiro include Little Mix’s “Always Be Together” [Columbia Records], Toni Braxton’s “Woman” [Atlantic Records] and Jordin Sparks’ “No Parade” [19 Recordings].

Meanwhile, Usher is scheduled to release his next studio collection and follow-up to 2012’s “Looking 4 Myself” later this year.

Current single “I Don’t Mind” was helmed by Rock City (Ciara, Nicki Minaj), Dr. Luke (Rihanna, Katy Perry) and Cirkut (Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears).

The highly-anticipated LP boasts further alliances with Da Internz (John Legend, Christina Aguilera), RoccStarr (Fergie, Jennifer Hudson), Mike WiLL Made It (Tinashe, Kelly Rowland) and Max Martin (Kelis, Taylor Swift).

Chris Brown premieres “Autumn Leaves” music video

Chris Brown has premiered a new music video online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Autumn Leaves” to his official Vevo page on Thursday (January 22, 2015).

“Autumn Leaves” appears on the artist’s latest album, “X,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The Kendrick Lamar-assisted track was co-written by Leon “RoccStar” Youngblood, who previously teamed with Brown on hit single “Fine China.”

Production duties on “Autumn Leaves” were handled by Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, whose other credits include K. Michelle’s “Love ‘Em All” [Atlantic Records] and Kandace Springs’ “Love Got in the Way” [SRP Records].

In related news, Brown recently completed shooting the music video for the DJ Mustard-produced “Post to Be” with Omarion and Jhene Aiko.

He also features on regular collaborator Sevyn Streeter’s latest single “Don’t Kill the Fun,” which is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Warner Music Group imprint Atlantic Records.

Jasmine V has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for the Alfredo Flores-directed “I Love Your Crazy” to her official Vevo page on Friday (December 19, 2014).

“I Love Your Crazy” was co-written and produced by Leon “RoccStar” Youngblood, whose resume also includes works for Usher (“Clueless”), Jennifer Lopez (“Acting Like That”) and Chris Brown (“Fine China”).

The track is lifted from Jazmine V’s mini-album, “That’s Me Right There,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Interscope Records.

Other EP contributors include Harmony Samuels (Brandy, Teyana Taylor), Carmen Reece (Ariana Grande, Nathan Sykes), Symbolyc One (Madonna, Kanye West) and Sam Hook (Omarion, Trey Songz).

Prince Royce has unveiled the music video for his new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the Colin Tilley-directed clip for “Stuck On a Feeling” to his official Vevo page on Wednesday (December 10, 2014).

“Stuck on a Feeling” was written by Ross Golan (Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo), Sam Martin (David Guetta, Nick Jonas), Daniel “Robopop” Omelio (Charli XCX, Lana Del Rey) and Jason Evigan (Miguel, Selena Gomez).

The Snoop Dogg-assisted track is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Royce’s upcoming English studio album will feature further alliances with Warren Felder (Omarion, K. Michelle), Steve Mostyn (Alicia Keys, Elle Varner), Lil’ Eddie (Tessanne Chin, Fifth Harmony) and RoccStar (Usher, Chris Brown).
