Ciara reunites with Rodney Jerkins for new single “Dose”

Ciara has confirmed the details for her new single.

The American singer/songwriter christened “Dose” as her next promotional cut and will release it on September 14 via all digital streaming outlets.

The track was written by Carmen Reece and Sam Fischer alongside producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, who previously teamed up with Ciara on “Can’t Leave Him Alone,” “Making it Last Forever,” the Kalenna Harper-assisted “Pucker Up,” and Livvi Franc-penned “Read My Lips.”

Ciara’s upcoming seventh album and follow-up to 2015’s “Jackie” – featuring the Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem-produced lead singles “Level Up” and “Freak Me” – is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Brothers Records.

Sinead Harnett reunites with Grades for new single “Body”

British singer/songwriter Sinead Harnett has delivered her new single online.

“Body” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was produced by Grades, who previously teamed up with Harnett on “If You Let Me,” “Still Miss You” and the Louis Mattrs-assisted “Ally.”

Born Daniel Traynor, the UK record producer’s resume boasts additional works with Ady Suleiman (“Longing for Your Love”), Tinie Tempah (“Text from Your Ex”), Fantasia (“Wait for You”), M.O (“Bad Vibe”), Khalid (“Winter”), H.E.R. (“Lights On”), Tove Lo (“Lies in the Dark”) and Maad (“New Religion”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Harnett’s upcoming project – featuring alliances with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, P2J, Marlon Roudette, Ari PenSmith, Michael Angelo, Ladun Thompson, Autumn Rowe, Maths Time Joy, Stint, Hue Strother, and Monro – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Rinse FM.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Harnett’s upcoming project – featuring alliances with Rodney Jerkins, P2J, Marlon Roudette, Ari PenSmith, Michael Angelo, Ladun Thompson, Autumn Rowe, Maths Time Joy, Stint, Hue Strother, and Monro – is scheduled to arrive later this year.

On the songwriting front, Harnett has contributed to Little Mix’s forthcoming fifth album under Syco Music (UK) and Columbia Records (US).

K. Michelle releases new album “Kimberley: The People I Used to Know”

American singer/songwriter Kimberley Pate, professionally known as K. Michelle, has released her new studio collection online.

“Kimberley:The People I Used to Know” – featuring singles “Birthday,” “Fuck Your Man” and the Chris Brown-assisted “Either Way” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2016’s “More Issues Than Vogue” boasts songwriting contributions from fellow recording artists including Kelly Clarkson (“Run Don’t Walk”), Sonyae Elise (“Birthday”), Prince Charlez (“Talk to God”), Safaree Samuels (“Alert”) and Priscilla Renea (“Brain on Love”).

Other album songwriters include Bianca “Blush” Atterberry (Pia Mia), Kevin Kadish (Meghan Trainor), Carmen Reece (Ray BLK), Micah Powell (Sevyn Streeter), Gabrielle “Goldie” Nowee (Rita Ora), Claude Kelly (Britney Spears), Lindsay Gilbert (Tamar Braxton) and Sam Sumser (Jason Derulo).

Originally intended to arrive in 2006 via Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings, “You, Me and the Radio” – featuring singles “The One You Need,” “Floating” and “Let Go” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Album producers include Stargate (Justin Timberlake), Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Tamar Braxton), Needlz (Bruno Mars), Ryan Leslie (Cassie), Antonio Dixon (Kevin Gates) and Madd Scientist (Christina Milian).

On the songwriting front; Rochell has enlisted Keri Hilson (Mary J. Blige), Shaffer “Ne-Yo” Smith (Fantasia), Makeba Riddick (Jennifer Lopez), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Brandy), Delisha Thomas (Janet Jackson), LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels (Ciara), Thabiso Nkhereanye (Alessia Cara), Patrick “J. Rodney Jerkins, also known by his stage name Darkchild, is an American record producer and songwriter.

He has helmed a broad range of popular singles including “What About Us?” (Brandy), “Angel of Mine” (Monica), “Make Me” (Janet Jackson), “Déjà vu” (Beyonce), “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay” (Whitney Houston), “If You Had My Love” (Jennifer Lopez), “He Wasn’t Man Enough” (Toni Braxton), “Say My Name” (Destiny’s Child) and “Telephone” (Lady Gaga).

Diane Warren graces debut album by Karen Harding

British singer/songwriter Karen Harding has drafted the songwriting services of Diane Warren for her upcoming debut album.

The legendary songwriter is known for her works with Toni Braxton (“Unbreak My Heart”), Christina Aguilera (“I Turn to You”), Beyonce (“I Was Here”) and Celine Dion (“Because You Loved Me”).

Furthermore, Warren has contributed to the next projects by Brandy [MBK Entertainment], Ciara [Epic], Leona Lewis [Island], Jojo [Atlantic],  Kelly Rowland [Def Jam] and Grace Sewell [RCA].

Meanwhile, Harding is expected to release her first studio collection later this year under Method Records in conjunction with Capitol Records.

Lead single “Say Something” is now available for download via iTunes. The MNEK-produced track peaked to number seven on the UK Singles Chart.

Other musicians backing Harding on the album are Rodney Jerkins, Camille Purcell, Richard Stannard, Jin Jin, Tom Aspaul, Chelcee Grimes, Jimmy Napes, Laura Dockrill, Bradford Ellis, Autumn Rowe and Fraser T. Smith.
