H.E.R. releases new project “I Used to Know Her: The Prelude”

American singer/songwriter Gabi Wilson, known professionally as H.E.R., has released her new project online.

“I Used to Know Her: The Prelude” – featuring six new songs including “Against Me,” “Feel a Way,” “Could’ve Been” and “As I Am” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Album contributors include David “Swagg R’celious” Harris, Tiara Thomas, Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, Hue “SoundzFire” Strother, Carl “Cardiak” McCormick, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile, and Ronald “Flippa” Colson.

Brandy debuts new song “Beggin & Pleadin”

Brandy has debuted a new song online.

The audio clip for “Beggin & Pleadin” has been posted to the singer and actress’s SoundCloud channel on Tuesday (January 05, 2016).

“Beggin & Pleadin” was co-written by Kirby Lauryen, whose other credits include Fleur East’s “Over Getting Over” [Syco], Monica’s “All Men Lie” [RCA], and Kanye West’s “Only One” [Def Jam].

Production duties were collectively helmed by Warren “Oak” Felder (Ariana Grande), Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Nicki Minaj), Ronald “Flippa” Colson (K. Michelle), and Steve “Aceface” Mostyn (Prince Royce).

The track is also slotted for inclusion on Brandy’s upcoming seventh studio collection and follow-up to 2012’s “Two Eleven,” which peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other contributors on the still-untitled album are Darhyl “DJ” Camper (John Legend), Stacy Barthe (Katy Perry), Hit-Boy (Sevyn Streeter), Diane Warren (Rita Ora), and Tiago Carvalho (Rihanna).

Brandy reunites with Hit-Boy for new album?

“You did an amazing job tonight, Stacy Barthe (lil sis). Chauncey, do not be late for studio tomorrow,” she posted to her Instagram page.

The R&B and Hip-Hop record producer – real name Chauncey Hollis – previously helmed “1st & Love” for Brandy along with Kara DioGuardi, Frank Ocean, Jesse “Chase N Cashe” Woodward and Rich King.

His extensive resume also includes works for Mariah Carey (“Thirsty”), Beyonce (“XO”), Kelly Rowland (“Lay it On Me”), Rihanna (“Watch ‘N Learn”), Nicki Minaj (“Come on a Cone”) and John Legend (“The Beginning”).

Meanwhile, Brandy’s next studio collection and follow-up to 2012’s “Two Eleven” is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year.

MBK Entertainment CEO Jeff Robinson serves as the album’s executive producer. He is also overseeing the upcoming releases by Elle Varner, Gabi Wilson, Justine Skye, Daisha and Tiara Thomas.

On the songwriting and production front, the still-untitled project boasts further contributions from Swagg R’Celious, Diane Warren, Stacy Barthe, Warren Felder, Andrew Wansel, Ronald Colson, Steve Mostyn and Kirby Lauryen.

Kandace Springs releases “West Coast” music video

Kandace Springs has released a new music video online.

The singer, songwriter and pianist posted the Julie Vastola-directed clip for “West Coast” to her Vevo channel on Monday (January 12, 2015).

“West Coast” was co-written by Springs along with Andrew “Pop” Wansel, Warren “Oak” Felder, Steve “Aceface” Mostyn and Ronald “Flip” Colson.

The track appears on the artist’s self-titled EP, which is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with SRP Records and Blue Note Records.

Springs’ full-length debut album will hit stores and digital outlets later this year. As mentioned in previous posts, the still-untitled LP is executive produced by songwriting and production duo Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken.

Other album contributors are James Poyser (Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu), Dan Wilson (Adele, John Legend), Andre Harris (Usher, Mariah Carey), Jack Splash (Solange, Alicia Keys) and Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge (Ne-Yo, Chris Brown).

K. Michelle has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Something About the Night” to her official YouTube page on Tuesday (December 09, 2014).

“Something About the Night” was written and K. Michelle along with Bianca Atterberry, who also teamed with the artist on hit single “Love ‘Em All”

Production duties on “Something About the Night” were handled by Warren “Oak” Felder (Usher, Jason Derulo), Steve “Aceface” Mostyn (Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez) and Ronald “Flippa” Colson (Omarion, Elle Varner).

Michelle’s sophomore album “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

The highly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Rebellious Soul,” which peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Omarion has revealed the official artwork for his upcoming studio album.

The R&B singer/songwriter will release “Sex Playlist” in the United States on December 2 via Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records.

Current single “Post to Be” – featuring Jhene Aiko and Chris Brown – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

The track was co-written by Sam Hook (Mary J. Blige, Teyana Taylor) and produced by DJ Mustard (Charli XCX, Jessie J).
