Sampha announces details for debut album “Process”

Sampha has announced the details for his upcoming debut album.

The British electronic music singer, songwriter, and record producer – born Sampha Sisay – christened his first studio collection “Process” and will release it on February 3, 2017 via Young Turks Recordings.

Current single “Blood On Me” – which was produced by Sampha alongside Rodaidh McDonald – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

In related news, Sampha recently co-wrote and co-produced “Don’t Touch My Hair” for Solange alongside Patrick Wimberly, Dave Sitek and Raphael Saadiq. The track appears on Solange’s latest album, “A Seat at the Table.”

Sampha’s extensive resume boasts further works with FKA twigs (“Numbers”), Katy B (“Play”), Drake (“Too Much”), SBTRKT (“Hold On”), Emile Haynie (“A Kiss Goodbye”) and Jessie Ware (“Valentine”).

Alicia Keys confirms details for new album “HERE”

Alicia Keys has confirmed the details for her upcoming album.

The singer, songwriter, and record producer christened her sixth studio collection “HERE” and will release it on November 4 via RCA Records.

Current single “Blended Family (What You Do for Love)” – which was co-written by Tish Hyman and co-produced by Mark Batson – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Other songwriters and producers backing Keys on “HERE” are Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese (The Weeknd), Billy Walsh (Majid Jordan), Taylor Parks (Mariah Carey) and  Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith).

The follow-up to 2012’s “Girl on Fire” reportedly boasts further contributions from Swizz Beatz, Harold Lilly, Pharrell Williams, Sam Romans, Charlie Puth, Sampha, Emeli Sande, Mike Dean, and Sam Dew.

RAYE releases new mini-collection “Second”

British singer-songwriter RAYE – real name Rachel Keen – has released her new mini-collection “Second” via iTunes in partnership with Polydor Records.

Current single “I, U, Us” was written by RAYE along with Charlotte “Charli XCX” Aitchison, Jonnali “Noonie Bao” Parmenius and Frederick “FRED” Gibson.

Other musicians backing RAYE on “Second” – featuring previous promotional cuts “Tell Me,” “Ambition” and “Distraction” – are BloodPop (Tinashe, Justin Bieber) and Knox Brown (Mary J. Blige, Emeli Sande).

On the songwriting front, RAYE co-wrote Blonde’s hit single “All Cried Out” along with Cass Lowe and Lucas Secon. The Alex Newell-featuring track peaked to number four on the UK Singles Chart.

She also worked with top musicians including Jonny Coffer, Sampha, Chris Loco, Stacy Barthe, Illangelo, Jimmy Napes, Labrinth, Two Inch Punch, Arnthor Birgisson, Jonny Lattimer, MNEK, Jin Jin, Bless Beats, and Wayne Wilkins.

RAYE has confirmed the details for her new single.

The British singer-songwriter – real name Rachel Keen – christened “I, U, US” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming project.

“I, U, US” was written by RAYE along with Charlotte “Charli XCX” Aitchison, Jonnali “Noonie Bao” Parmenius and Frederick “FRED” Gibson.

RAYE’s forthcoming collection, tentatively entitled “Back 2 the Winter,” is expected to arrive later this year through Polydor Records.

On the songwriting front, RAYE co-wrote Blonde’s hit single “All Cried Out” along with Cass Lowe and Lucas Secon. The Alex Newell-featuring track peaked to number four on the UK Singles Chart.

She also worked with top musicians including Sampha, Emeli Sande, Chris Loco, Stacy Barthe, Illangelo, Jimmy Napes, Labrinth, Two Inch Punch, Arnthor Birgisson, BloodPop, Jonny Lattimer, Knox Brown, and Wayne Wilkins.

Alicia Keys teams with Sam Romans, Sampha

Alicia Keys has teamed up with Sam Romans and Sampha on new music.

“An amazing week in the studio with the legend @aliciakeys and the master @jimmynapes. Big shout out to #Sampha too,” Romans posted on Instagram.

The British musician – real name Samuel Elliot Roman – recently co-wrote Disclosure’s “Jaded” [Island], Melissa Steel’s “You Love Me?” [Atlantic], Mary J. Blige’s “Doubt” [Capitol] and Gorgon City’s “Saving My Life” [Virgin EMI].

Meanwhile, Sampha is known for his collaborative works with Emile Hayne (“A Kiss Goodbye”), SBTRKT (“Hold On”), FKA twigs (“Numbers”), Drake (“Too Much”), Jessie Ware (“Valentine”) and Lil Silva (“On Your Own”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Keys is expected to release her sixth studio collection later this year through RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Girl on Fire” is preceded by current single “28 Thousand Days,” which is now available for download via iTunes.

Among the songwriters and producers reportedly backing Keys on the still-untitled project are Swizz Beatz, Emeli Sande, Pharrell Williams, Jimmy Napes, Sam Dew, Mark Batson, Harold Lilly, Mike Dean, and Sam Smith.

FKA twigs reveals official tracklist for new EP “Melissa”

FKA Twigs has revealed the official tracklist for her upcoming EP.

The British singer/songwriter – born Tahliah Barnett – is scheduled to release “Melissa” later this year through Young Turks Recordings.

Production duties on the highly-anticipated mini-collection are headed by Jordan “Boots” Asher, who’s known for his contributions on Beyonce’s critically acclaimed self-titled fifth studio album.

FKA Twigs’ debut album, 2014’s “LP1,” debuted at number sixteen on the UK Albums Chart and number thirty on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

That collection also spawned collaborations with Emile Haynie (“Two Weeks”), Devonte Hynes (“Hours”), Paul Epworth (“Pendulum”), Joel Compass (“Kicks”) and Sampha (“Numbers”) and Arca (“Lights On”).
