Ferras delivers new promotional single “Coming Back Around”

American singer/songwriter Ferras Alqaisi, known mononymously as Ferras, had delivered his new promotional single online.

“Coming Back Around” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Ferras alongside Sarah Hudson (Marina Diamandis, Ella Henderson), Alexandra “Allie X” Hughes (Troye Sivan, Lea Michele) and Scott “Babydaddy” Hoffman (Tinashe, Fantasia Barrino).

Production duties on “Coming Back Around” were handled by Greg Wells, whose extensive resume boasts additional works with Keith Urban (“Wasted Time”), Dua Lipa (“Garden”), Kandace Springs (“Too Good to Last”), Cosima (“Supernova”) and Kelsea Ballerini (“Machine Heart”).

As mentioned in various media outlets, Ferras’ upcoming project – featuring previous single “Medicine” – is expected to arrive later this year via Katy Perry-founded label Unsub Records in partnership with Capitol Records.

On the songwriting front, Ferras is known for co-writing Katy Perry’s “Bon Appetite,” Alisan Porter’s “Revolution,” Dua Lipa’s “Genesis,” Alli Simpson’s “Material Boy,” Erika Jayne’s “Xxpen$ive,” Adam Lambert’s “Two Fux,” Idina Menzel’s “Queen of Swords,” and Jessica Mauboy’s “Galaxy.”

M.O liberate new promotional single “Bad Vibe”

British group M.O – consisting of members Annie Ashcroft, Chanal Benjilali and Nadine Samuels – have liberated their new promotional single online.

“Bad Vibe” – featuring guest appearances from Lotto Boyzz and Mr Eazi – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Dayo “Dyo” Olatunji alongside Scott “Babydaddy” Hoffman, whose other credits include Tinashe’s “Ghetto Boy,” Cheryl’s “Coming Up for Air,” Demi Lovato’s “Old Ways,” Kylie Minogue’s “Crystallize,” Betty Who’s “Better,” and Chris Brown’s “Don’t Be Gone Too Long.”

Production duties on “Bad Vibe” were handled by Daniel “Grades” Traynor, who is also responsible for Nao’s “Bad Blood,” Sinead Harnett’s “If You Let Me,” Aanysa’s “Burn Break Crash,” H.E.R’s “Lights On,” Fantasia Barrino’s “Wait for You,” Dua Lipa’s “No Goodbyes,” and Khalid’s “Winter.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, M.O’s upcoming debut album – featuring previous promotional single “Not in Love” – is expected to arrive later this year via Operator Records in partnership with Polydor Records (UK) and Interscope Records (US).

Mullally hits the studio with Utters, Ed Thomas for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Connor Mullally-Knight, known mononymously as Mullally, has enlisted Ed Thomas and Utters for a new collaboration.

Thomas is responsible for co-writing Jorja Smith’s “On My Mind,” Louis Mattrs’ “Pink Lemonade,” Kiah Victoria’s “Cold War,” Zac Abel’s “Everybody Needs Love,” Aquilo’s “Thin,” and Maverick Sabre’s “Falling Again.”

Meanwhile, Utters’ production resume boasts works with AlunaGeorge (“Last Kiss”), Chronixx (“I Know Love”), Raleigh Ritchie (“In Too Deep”), All Saints (“One Woman Man”), Foxes (“Beauty Queen”), Ella Eyre (“Home”), Selah Sue (“Feel”) and Purple Ferdinand (“Through Your Eyes”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mullally’s upcoming project – featuring current promotional single “She Don’t Know Me” – is expected to arrive early next year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records UK.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields additional productions from Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Two Inch Punch, Harmony “H-Money” Samuels, ADP, Jordan Riley, Cook Classics, Scott Hoffman, Robopop, Will Simms, MNEK, Jonny Coffer, Grades, Scribz Riley, and Cool & Dre.

On the songwriting front, Mullally has also worked with Amy Wadge, Jason Boyd, Danny Parker, Grace Tither, Ali Tennant, Max McElligott, Ari PenSmith, Danny Shah, Jordan Thomas, Levi Lennox, and Clarence Coffee Jr.

The singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “When I Met You” to her Vevo channel on Friday (January 27, 2017).

The track was co-written by Priscilla Renea, whose recent credits include Sabrina Carpenter’s “Thumbs,” Nick Jonas’ “Touch,” Charlie Puth’s “River,” K. Michele’s “Time,” Fifth Harmony’s “Write on Me,” and Mariah Carey’s “Infinity.”

“Company” was written and produced by Terius “The-Dream” Nash, who previously teamed with Tinashe on the Tricky Stewart-assisted “Super Love.”

AlunaGeorge confirmed the title and release date for their sophomore album.

The UK electronic music duo – composed of Aluna Francis and George Reid – christened their second studio collection “I Remember” and will release it on April 29 through Island Records (UK) and Interscope Records (US).

Lead single “I’m in Control” – now available for download via iTunes and all other online outlets – was co-written by Sam Romans (Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige) and Mark Ralph (Clean Bandit, Lion Babe).

Other album contributors include Cathy Dennis (Santigold), Tom Aspaul (Karen Harding), Scott “Babydaddy” Hoffman (Chris Brown), Jin Jin (Olly Murs), Cass Lowe (Tinashe), Happy Perez (Kehlani) and Dallas Austin (Madonna).

AlunaGeorge’s first studio collection, 2013’s “Body Music,” peaked to number eleven on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Your Drums, Your Love,” “Your Know You Like It” and “Attracting Flies.”

On the production front, George Reid recently collaborated with Karen Poole and Dan “Utters” Radclyffe on songs performed by Atlantic Recording artist Taya (“Sweet Waste of Time”) and actor-singer Raleigh Ritchie (A Moor).

Demi Lovato has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Confident” to her Vevo channel on Friday (October 09, 2015).

“Confident” – out now via iTunes – was written by Lovato along with Savan Kotecha (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera), Ilya Salmanzadeh (Tori Kelly, Ariana Grande) and Max Martin (Tinashe, Hailee Steinfeld).

Video treatment was handled by Robert Rodriguez, who also directed feature films including The Faculty, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, Sin City, Planet Terror and Machete.

Lovato’s upcoming fifth studio collection “Confident” – featuring previous single “Cool for the Summer” – is scheduled to hit stores on October 16 through Hollywood Records in conjunction with Island Records.

The keenly-awaited LP boasts additional alliances with Steve Mac (Jess Glynne), Ina Wroldsen (Little Mix), Jason Evigan (Madonna), Laleh (Ellie Goulding), Scott “Babydaddy” Hoffman (Chris Brown) and Coco Morier (Selena Gomez).

The British singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Ghosts” to her official Vevo page on Thursday (December 11, 2014).

“Ghosts” was co-written by Jonathan Lipsey and produced by Greg Kurstin, whose recent credits include Taylor Swift’s “I Wish You Would” [Big Machine Records] and Beyonce’s “Standing on the Sun” [Columbia Records].

The track is lifted from Welsh’s debut studio collection, “Soft Control,” out on January 19, 2015 via Outsiders Recorded Music and Polydor Records.
