Max Martin, Savan Kotecha grace debut album by Tori Kelly

Tori Kelly has teamed with Savan Kotecha and Max Martin for her debut album.

The songwriting and production duo are responsible Jessie J’s “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj [Republic Records], Jennifer Lopez’s “First Love” [Capitol Records] and Christina Aguilera’s “Your Body” [RCA Records].

Martin and Kotecha also worked with Britney Spears (“I Wanna Go”), Justin Bieber (“Beauty and a Beat”), Usher (“Scream”), Leona Lewis (“Out of My Head”), Cher Lloyd (“With Ur Love”) and Cassadee Pope (“Easier to Lie”).

As mentioned in previous posts, Kelly will release her highly-anticipated debut album in early 2015 via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The still-untitled project is executive-produced by Scooter Braun, who’s also overseeing the careers of Ariana Grande [Republic Records], Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records] and Madison Beer [Island Records].

Other album contributors include Rodney Jerkins (Brandy, Toni Braxton), Fraser T. Smith (Adele, CeeLo Green), Oren Yoel (Miley Cyrus, Stacy Barthe), Ed Sheeran (Jessie Ware, Hilary Duff) and Pharrell (Beyonce, Gwen Stefani).

In related news, Kelly recently provided guest vocals for Professor Green’s hit single “Lullaby” [Virgin EMI Records]. The Ina Wroldsen-assisted / Chris Loco-produced track peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart.

Carly Rae Jepsen confirms new single “I Really Like You”

Carly Rae Jepsen has confirmed the title for her new single.

The Canadian singer/songwriter dubbed “I Really Like You” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming third album.

Jepsen’s last studio collection, 2012’s “Kiss,” peaked at number six on the US Albums Chart and spawned international it single “Call Me Maybe.”

As mentioned in previous posts, the highly-anticipated new project is expected to be released during the first quarter of 2015 via Interscope Records.

Scott “Scooter” Braun serves as the album’s executive producer. He is also overseeing the careers of Ariana Grande [Republic Records], Madison Beer [Island Records] and Tori Kelly [Capitol Records].

On the songwriting and production front, Jepsen teamed with Toby Gad, Samantha Ronson, Max Martin, Sia, Jenna Andrews, Sam Hollander, Benny Blanco, and Stargate (Tor Erik Hermansen & Mikkel Storleer Eriksen).

Carly Rae Jepsen reunites with Toby Gad for new album

Carly Rae Jepsen has reunited with Toby Gad for her upcoming studio album.

The pair previously teamed up on “Kiss” tracks “Your Heart is a Muscle” and “Beautiful,” which features vocals from fellow Canadian artist Justin Bieber.

Gad also worked on the next releases by Madonna [Interscope Records], Natasha Bedingfield [RCA Records], Becky Hills [Parlophone Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music] and Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records].

Meanwhile, Jepsen is expected to release her new album later this year via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project will be executively produced by Scooter Braun, whose client list also includes Tori Kelly [Capitol Records], Ariana Grande [Republic Records] and Madison Beer [Island Records].

Other musicians backing the “Call Me Maybe” star on the highly-anticipated collection are Stargate (Ne-Yo, Jessica Sanchez), Sia Furler (Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez) and Benny Blanco (Jessie Ware, Ed Sheeran).

Ariana Grande releases “Break Free” lyric video

Ariana Grande has released the official lyric video for her new single online.

“Break Free” – featuring Zedd – marks the second promotional single from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album, “My Everything,” out on August 25 via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The track – written by Savan Kotecha along with Max Martin and Anton “Zedd” Zaslavski – is now available for download via iTunes (US).

“My Everything” serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Yours Truly,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

It was executively produced by Scooter Braun, who is also overseeing the next releases by Tori Kelly [Capitol Records], Madison Beer [Island Records] and Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records].

The singer/songwriter christened “Break Free” – featuring Zedd – as the second promotional single from her upcoming sophomore album.

The track serves as the follow-up to previous release “Problem,” now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.
