Usher reunites with Danja for new collaboration

Usher has reunited with Danja for a new collaboration.

The pair previously teamed up on “Appetite,” “So Many Girls,” “I Care for You” and “Show Me,” taken from the albums “Here I Stand” (2008), “Raymond v. Raymond” (2010) and “Looking for Myself” (2012), respectively.

The American record producer and songwriter – real name Nathaniel Hills – has also produced songs for Keyshia Cole (“Incapable”), DJ Khaled (“Shining”), Mariah Carey (“Migrate”), Tank (“This is How I Feel”), Brandy (“Can You Hear Me Now?”), Chris Brown (“Discover”), Keri Hilson (“Knock You Down”), Jason Derulo (“X2CU”) and K. Michelle (“If it Ain’t Love”).

Meanwhile, Usher is expected to release his ninth studio collection and follow-up to 2016’s “Hard II Love” later this year via RCA Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional productions and songwriting contributions from Jermaine Dupri (Monica, Whitney Houston), Rico Love (Cassie, Nick Jonas), Bryan Michael Cox (Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige) and Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Nicole Scherzinger, Trey Songz).

Megan Rochell releases debut album “You, Me and the Radio”

Megan Rochell has released her debut album online.

Originally intended to arrive in 2006 via Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings, “You, Me and the Radio” – featuring singles “The One You Need,” “Floating” and “Let Go” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Album producers include Stargate (Justin Timberlake), Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Tamar Braxton), Needlz (Bruno Mars), Ryan Leslie (Cassie), Antonio Dixon (Kevin Gates) and Madd Scientist (Christina Milian).

On the songwriting front; Rochell has enlisted Keri Hilson (Mary J. Blige), Shaffer “Ne-Yo” Smith (Fantasia), Makeba Riddick (Jennifer Lopez), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Brandy), Delisha Thomas (Janet Jackson), LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels (Ciara), Thabiso Nkhereanye (Alessia Cara), Patrick “J. Que” Smith (Kelly Rowland) and Ezekiel Lewis (Amerie).

Liam Payne registers new song title online

British singer/songwriter Liam Payne has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“Bedroom Floor” is slotted for inclusion on Payne’s upcoming debut album, which will arrive later this year via Hampton Records in partnership with Capitol Records (UK) and Republic Records (US).

The track was written by fellow recording artist Charlie Puth alongside Jacob “JKash” Kasher (Bebe Rexha), Ammar Malik (Nick Jonas), Noel Zancanella (Ella Henderson), Aaron Jennings (Big Boi) and Steve Mac (Zara Larsson).

For the still-untitled collection, Payne has also teamed up with producers including Soulshock & Karlin (Kelly Rowland), Pharrell Williams (Usher), Digital Farm Animals (Fifth Harmony), Warren “Oak” Felder (Jordan Fisher), Zaire Koalo (Demi Lovato), Nick Monson (Lady GaGa), DannyBoyStyles (The Weeknd) and Ben Billions (Kristian Galva).

Among the additional songwriters expected to appear on the album are Bibi Bourelly (Selena Gomez), Emily Warren (Charli XCX), Marlon Roudette (Louisa Johnson), Jean Baptiste Kouame (Madonna), Scott Harris (Melanie Martinez), Jaramye Daniels (Beyonce), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Christina Milian), Marlin “Hookman” Bonds (Jason Derulo) and Samuel Preston (Nina Nesbitt).

Liam Payne teams up with Zedd for new single “Get Low”

British singer/songwriter Liam Payne has teamed up with German record producer Zedd (born Anton Zaslavski) for his new single “Get Low,” which will arrive on July 7th via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written by Prince Charlez alongside Fabienne Holloway, whose resume boasts further works with Grace Carter (“Heal Me”), Tori Kelly (“Mellow”), Dakota (“Never Good Enough”), Kiah Victoria (“Treat Me”), Janelle Monae (“Call the Lawd”), Rosie Lowe (“So Human”) and Kara Marni (“Skydive”).

Meanwhile, Payne is expected to release his first studio collection – featuring the Ed Sheeran-penned / Steve Mac-produced “Strip That Down” – later this year via Capitol Records (UK) and Republic Records (US).

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers additional songwriting contributions from Marlon Roudette (Sinead Harnett), Bibi Bourelly (Rihanna), Jean Baptiste Kouame (Angel Taylor), Emily Warren (Dua Lipa), Scott Harris (Rachel Platten), Marlin “Hookman” Bonds (Zendaya), Sean Garrett (Mary H. Current promotional single “Fallen” – featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Cam Wallace – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Skylar Stecker has released her new single online.

“How Did We” – taken from the original motion picture soundtrack “Everything, Everything” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who are also behind Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” Selena Gomez’s “Hands to Myself,” Pia Mia’s “Sorry,” John Legend’s “What You Do to Me,” Nick Jonas’ “Closer,” Gwen Stefani’s “Misery,” and Britney Spears’ “Slumber Party.”

Production duties on “How Did We” were handled by Jussi “Jussifer” Karvinen, who is also behind Jojo’s “FAB,” New Kids on the Block’s “One More Night,” Butcher Babies’ “Never Go Back,” and Christopher & Matoma’s “Take Me Back.”

Stecker, on the other hand, is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album – featuring the Tricky Stewart-produced “Only Want You” – is expected to arrive later this year via Cherrytree / Interscope Records.
