Usher reunites with Danja for new collaboration

Usher has reunited with Danja for a new collaboration.

The pair previously teamed up on “Appetite,” “So Many Girls,” “I Care for You” and “Show Me,” taken from the albums “Here I Stand” (2008), “Raymond v. Raymond” (2010) and “Looking for Myself” (2012), respectively.

The American record producer and songwriter – real name Nathaniel Hills – has also produced songs for Keyshia Cole (“Incapable”), DJ Khaled (“Shining”), Mariah Carey (“Migrate”), Tank (“This is How I Feel”), Brandy (“Can You Hear Me Now?”), Chris Brown (“Discover”), Keri Hilson (“Knock You Down”), Jason Derulo (“X2CU”) and K. Michelle (“If it Ain’t Love”).

Meanwhile, Usher is expected to release his ninth studio collection and follow-up to 2016’s “Hard II Love” later this year via RCA Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional productions and songwriting contributions from Jermaine Dupri (Monica, Whitney Houston), Rico Love (Cassie, Nick Jonas), Bryan Michael Cox (Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige) and Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Nicole Scherzinger, Trey Songz).

Megan Rochell releases debut album “You, Me and the Radio”

Megan Rochell has released her debut album online.

Originally intended to arrive in 2006 via Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings, “You, Me and the Radio” – featuring singles “The One You Need,” “Floating” and “Let Go” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Album producers include Stargate (Justin Timberlake), Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Tamar Braxton), Needlz (Bruno Mars), Ryan Leslie (Cassie), Antonio Dixon (Kevin Gates) and Madd Scientist (Christina Milian).

On the songwriting front; Rochell has enlisted Keri Hilson (Mary J. Blige), Shaffer “Ne-Yo” Smith (Fantasia), Makeba Riddick (Jennifer Lopez), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Brandy), Delisha Thomas (Janet Jackson), LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels (Ciara), Thabiso Nkhereanye (Alessia Cara), Patrick “J. Que” Smith (Kelly Rowland) and Ezekiel Lewis (Amerie).

Sevyn Streeter schedules release date for debut album “Girl Disrupted”

American singer/songwriter Amber Streeter, professionally known as Sevyn Streeter, is scheduled to release her debut album “Girl Disrupted” on July 7 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Current promotional single “Fallen” – featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Cam Wallace – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project reportedly delivers further alliances with Shondrae “Bangaldesh” Crawford (Kesha, Teyana Taylor), Christopher “Tricky” Stewart (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Usher, Mary J. Blige) and Christopher “Drumma Boy” Gholson (Goapele, Chris Brown).

Streeter’s songwriting credits, on the other hand, include K. Michelle’s “Sleep Like a Baby,” Tamar Braxton’s “Coming Home,” Jessie J’s “Keep Us Together,” Alicia Keys’ “New Day,” Brandy’s “Slower,” Kelly Rowland’s “Put Your Name on It,” Fantasia Barrino’s “Get it Right,” and Ariana Grande’s “The Way.”

Skylar Stecker releases new single “How Did We”

Skylar Stecker has released her new single online.

“How Did We” – taken from the original motion picture soundtrack “Everything, Everything” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who are also behind Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” Selena Gomez’s “Hands to Myself,” Pia Mia’s “Sorry,” John Legend’s “What You Do to Me,” Nick Jonas’ “Closer,” Gwen Stefani’s “Misery,” and Britney Spears’ “Slumber Party.”

Production duties on “How Did We” were handled by Jussi “Jussifer” Karvinen, who is also behind Jojo’s “FAB,” New Kids on the Block’s “One More Night,” Butcher Babies’ “Never Go Back,” and Christopher & Matoma’s “Take Me Back.”

Stecker, on the other hand, is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album – featuring the Tricky Stewart-produced “Only Want You” – is expected to arrive later this year via Cherrytree / Interscope Records.

Current single “Before I Do” will be available from December 2 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Other tracks slotted for inclusion “Girl Disrupted” are “D4L” (featuring The-Dream), “My Love for You” and “Prolly” (featuring Gucci Mane).

The highly anticipated project also boasts contributions from Tricky Stewart, Sean Garrett, Charlie Heat, J-Doe, Micah Powell, Drumma Boy, Mr. Bangladesh, Damon Thomas, and Cameron Wallace.

On the songwriting front, Streeter recently co-wrote “Coming Home” for Tamar Braxton alongside Patrick “J. Que” Smith, Dewain Whitmore and The Underdogs (Harvey Mason Jr. and Damon Thomas).

Her other credits include “Keep Us Together” (Jessie J), “The Way” (Ariana Grande), “Put Your Name on It” (Kelly Rowland), “New Day” (Alicia Keys), “Slower” (Brandy) and “I Can’t Make You Love Me” (K. Michelle).

Garrett Hamler, better known by his stage name Sean “The Pen” Garrett, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer.

Alongside regular collaborators Swizz Beatz and Polow Da Don, he helmed singles for Beyonce (“Check On It”), Kelis (“Blindfold Me”), Gwen Stefani (“Now That You Got it”), Mashonda (“Blackout”), Kelly Rowland (“Like This”), Fergie (“London Bridge”), Jamie Foxx (“DJ Play a Love Song”), Pussycat Dolls (“Buttons”) and Nicole Scherzinger (“Whatever U Like”).

His extensive resume boasts further works with Mary J. Sevyn Streeter has announced the details for her new single.

The singer-songwriter christened “Before I Do” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album “Girl Disrupted” and will release it on December 2 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

“Before I Do” serves as the follow-up to previous promotional singles “D4L” (featuring The-Dream), “My Love for You” (co-written by Damon Thomas) and “Prolly” (produced by Charlie Heat).

Other musicians reportedly backing Streeter on “Girl Disrupted” are Tricky Stewart (Bruno Mars), Sean Garrett (Chris Brown), Drumma Boy (Goapele), Bangladesh (Kelly Rowland) and Cameron Wallace (Beyonce).
