Ella Henderson drafts Sasha Sloan, Two Inch Punch for new single “Ugly”

British singer/songwriter Ella Henderson has selected “Ugly” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming sophomore album and will release it later this year via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written by Henderson alongside fellow recording artist Sasha Sloan, whose other credits include Camila Cabello’s “Never Be the Same,” Niia Rocco’s “Nobody,” Alma’s “Phases,” Maggie Lindemann’s “Pretty Girl,” Kygo’s “This Town,” and Louis Tomlinson’s “Just Hold On.”

Production duties on “Ugly” were handled by Two Inch Punch, who is also responsible for Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human,” Dan Caplen’s “Two Fingers,” Saya’s “Cold Fire,” JP Cooper’s “Good Friend,” Sam Smith’s “Money on My Mind,” Anne-Marie’s “Boy,” Ella Eyre’s “Deeper,” and Moko’s “With You.”

The follow-up to 2014’s “Chapter One” reportedly boasts further contributions from Moon Willis, Lindy Robbins, Robopop, Cara Salimando, Danny Parker, Kamille, Fred Ball, Jennifer Decilveo, Martin Sjolie, Dyo, Cass Lowe, Shungudzo, Fraser T. Smith, Chiara Hunter, Dallas Austin, Lauren Aquilina, Jordan Riley, MoZella, Sam Romans, Isabella Summers, JHart, and Electric Music.

As a songwriter, Henderson recently co-penned “Guilty” for Paloma Faith alongside Wayne Hector and Peter Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn, and Thomas Barnes of UK songwriting/production trio TMS. The track appears on Faith’s fourth album under Sony Music Entertainment UK, “The Architect.”

Jessie Ware unveils acoustic version of new promotional single “Hearts”

British singer/songwriter Jessica Louis Ware, professionally known as Jessie Ware, has unveiled her new promotional single online.

The acoustic version of “Hearts” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Ware alongside Julia Michaels (Pink, Gwen Stefani), Benjamin “Benny Blanco” Levin (Charli XCX, James Blunt) and Benjamin “Two Inch Punch” Ash (Anne-Marie, Jessie Reyez).

Ware’s third album “Glasshouse” – featuring previous singles “Midnight,” “Selfish Love” and “Alone” – is scheduled to arrive on 20 October via PMR Records in partnership with Island Records (UK) and Interscope Records (US).

The highly-anticipated project boasts further songwriting contributions from James Newman, Alexandra “Shungudzo Kuyimba” Govere, Danny Parker, Nina Nesbitt, Ross Golan, Sarah Aarons, and Ed Sheeran.

On the production front, Ware has worked with Starsmith, Bastian Langebaek, Andrew Wansel, Kid Harpoon, Stint, Happy Perez, Cashmere Cat, Julian Bunetta, Fred Ball, Sacha Skarbek, and John “JRY” Ryan.

Jessie Ware has shared the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Alone” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Thursday (October 12, 2017).

The track – which was co-written by Sarah Aarons and collectively produced by Ajay “Stint” Bhattacharyya and Thomas “Kid Harpoon” Hull – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Ware’s upcoming album “Glasshouse” – featuring previous singles “Midnight” and “Selfish Love” – is scheduled to arrive on 20 October via PMR Records in partnership with Island Records (UK) and Interscope Records (US).

The highly-anticipated project boasts further songwriting contributions from James Newman (Dan Caplen), Shungudzo Kuyimba (Louisa Johnson), Danny Parker (Shawn Mendes), Nina Nesbitt (Jasmine Thompson), Ross Golan (Charlie Puth), Julia Michaels (Pink) and Ed Sheeran (Liam Payne).

Sabina Ddumba hits the studio with MNEK, TMS

Swedish singer/songwriter Sabina Ddumba has enlisted the songwriting and production services of MNEK and TMS for her next album.

Composed of Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher; TMS are responsible for co-writing and producing Sigma’s “Find Me,” Louisa Johnson’s “Best Behaviour,” Craig David’s “Better with You,” Dua Lipa’s “Bad Together,” Zac Samuel’s “Play it Cool,” and Ghosted’s “Get Some.”

Meanwhile, MNEK (born Uzoechi Emenike) previously co-wrote and produced “Time,” taken from Ddumba’s debut studio collection, “Homeward Bound,” which peaked to number ten on the Swedish Albums Charts.

Dduma’s yet-to-be-titled second studio collection, on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Music Sweden.

Among the additional songwriters and producers expected to appear on the album are Shungudzo Kuyimba, Andreas “Axident” Schuller, Dayo Olatunji, Warren “Oak” Felder, Jenna Andrews, James “Gladius” Wong, Hayley Warner, Dantae Johnson, Whitney Phillips, Erik Hassle, and Tayla Parx.

Liza Owen teams with Cedric Gervais on new single “Somebody New”

British singer/songwriter Liza Owen has teamed up with French DJ and house music producer Cedric Gervais for his new single “Somebody New,” now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Owen alongside Asia Whiteacre, whose other credits include Hey Violet’s “O.D.D.,” Astrid S’s “Breathe,” Hailee Steinfeld’s “Most Girls,” and Sophie & The Bom Boms’ “Creme De La Creme.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Owen is expected to release her upcoming debut project – featuring the Goldfingers-produced “Better with Me” and Ali Tamposi & Robopop-assisted “Don’t Call Me Baby” – later this year via Lava Records and Republic Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers further productions from Knighstarr, Digital Farm Animals, Youthonix, Maestro the Baker, Benny Cassette, Mick Schultz, Luke Fitton, Sam Sumser, and Mac & Phil.

Louisa Johnson registers new song title with ASCAP

Louisa Johnson has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“Feeling It” was written by Alexandra “Ali” Tamposi (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Chloe Angelides (Lily Allen, Jason Derulo) and Steven “Steve Mac” McCutcheon (Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora).

The track is slotted for inclusion on Johnson’s upcoming debut album under Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

Current promotional single “Best Behaviour” – which was written by Shungudzo “Alexandra Govere” Kuyimba and Daniel “Danny” Parker alongside the song’s producers Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher of TMS – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

For her first studio collection, Johnson has also worked with producers Tobias “Toby” Gad (Madonna), Matthew “BURNS” Burns (Kacy Hill), Dallas Austin (Ciara), Tre Jean-Marie (Mabel McVey), Arnthor Birgisson (RAYE), Joseph “Joe” Janiak (Britney Spears) and Nicholas “Digital Farm Animals” Gale (Little Mix).

The British singer/songwriter (born Camille Purcell) is responsible for co-writing Little Mix’s “Power,” Sigma’s “Find Me,” The Saturdays’ “What About Us,” Neiked’s “Call Me,” Leona Lewis’ “Mr. Right,” JLS’ “Billion Lights,” Ella Henderson’s “Glow,” Cheryl’s “Throwback,” Sam Bailey’s “Treasure,” Jessie J’s “Hero,” Olly Murs’ “Grow Up,” and Fleur East’s “Sax.”

Her upcoming debut studio collection – featuring alliances with Chris Loco, Dantae Johnson, Two Inch Punch, BullySongs, MNEK, and Goldfingers – is expected to arrive later this year via Virgin EMI Records.

Meanwhile, Ware is currently working on her third album under PMR Records and Island Records, which serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Tough Love.”

Kiesza teams up with Bakermat for new single “Don’t Want You Back”

Canadian singer/songwriter Kiesa Rae Ellested, professionally known as Kiesza, has teamed up with Dutch DJ and music producer Bakermat for new single “Don’t Want You Back,” now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Initially recorded by UK recording artist Tamera Foster for her debut project under Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music, “Don’t Want You Back” was co-written by Foster alongside Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Rita Ora, Shola Ama) and Komi Hakam (Sam Smith, Ella Henderson).

Kiesza, on the other hand, is expected to release her upcoming sophomore major-label album, which serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Sound of a Woman,” later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records.
