Sigma, Ella Henderson announce new single “Glitterball”

Sigma have announced the details for their new single.

The drum and bass duo – consisting of Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie – christened “Glitterball” as the fourth promotional cut from their debut album.

“Glitterball” – which features vocals from UK songbird Ella Henderson – was written by Wayne Hector (Fleur East, Britney Spears), Jim Eliot (Leona Lewis, Olly Murs) and Mima Stilwell (Will Young, Kylie Minogue).

The track also serves as the follow-up to previous single, the Labrinth-assisted “Higher,” which peaked to number twelve on the UK Singles Chart.

Sigma’s first studio collection, simply entitled “Life,” is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year under 3 Beat Records.

The highly-anticipated project boasts additional alliances with Fraser T. Smith (Bebe Rexha, Craig David), Ina Wroldsen (Selena Gomez, Britney Spears), MNEK (Madonna, Emeli Sande) and TMS (Ella Eyre, Sinead Harnett).

Ella Eyre confirms new single “Together”

Ella Eyre has confirmed the title for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter dubbed “Together” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album, “Feline,” out soon via Virgin EMI Records.

“Together” serves as the follow-up to previous single “Comeback,” which was written by Eyre along with the song’s producers Alexander Kronlund, Oscar Goerres and Ilya “KnocDown” Salmanzadeh.

Other musicians backing Eyre on “Feline” are Chris Loco (Emeli Sande, Kylie Minogue), Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Colbie Caillat), Jarrad Rogers (Charli XCX, Rita Ora) and Two Inch Punch (Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware).

On the songwriting front, Eyre and Wayne  Hector co-wrote “Changing” for drum & bass duo Sigma along with Peter Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn and Thomas Barnes of TMS. The Paloma Faith-assisted track topped the UK Singles Chart.

She also provided guest vocals on the DJ Fresh’s latest single “Gravity.” The track – which was co-written by Jon Shave, George Astasio and Jason Pebworth of The Invisible Men – debuted at number four on the UK Singles Chart.

Sigma record new material with Ina Wroldsen, Fraser T. Smith for debut album “Life”

Sigma have recorded new material with Ina Wroldsen and Fraser T. Smith.

The British drum and bass duo – consisting of Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie – are currently putting the final touches on their debut album entitled “Life.”

Wroldsen is known for co-penning Shontelle’s “Impossible” [SRP Records], Madison Beer’s “Melodies” [Island Records], Shakira’s “Empires” [RCA Records] and Professor Green’s “Lullaby” f/ Tori Kelly [Virgin EMI Records].

She also contributed to the next projects by Selena Gomez [Interscope Records], Jojo [Atlantic Records], Bridgit Mendler [Hollywood Records] and Katharine McPhee [Columbia Records].

On the production front, Fraser T Smith has worked with Britney Spears [RCA Records], Leona Lewis [Island Records], Bebe Rexha [Warner Bros. Records], Charli XCX [Atlantic Records] and Lily Allen [Parlophone Records].

His notable credits include Mikky Ekko’s “Time” [RCA Records], Katy B’s “Still” [Columbia Records], Sam Smith’s “Not in That Way” [Capitol Records] and Example’s “Kids Again” [Epic Records].

Sigma’s previous promotional singles, “Nobody to Love” and the Paloma Faith-assisted “Changing,” debuted at number one on the UK Singles.

Current single “Higher” – which will be available for download from March 22 via iTunes (UK) – features vocals from fellow British singer, songwriter and record producer Timothy McKenzie (better known as Labrinth).

DJ Fresh, Ella Eyre premiere music video for new single “Gravity”

DJ Fresh has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The British electronic music producer posted the visual clip for “Gravity” to his official YouTube page on Wednesday (December 24, 2014).

“Gravity” features vocals from singer/songwriter Ella Eyre, who previously teamed with other musicians including Rudimental (“Waiting All Night”), Sigma (“Changing”) and Naughty Boy (“Think About It”).

The tracks follows the Ellie Goulding-assisted “Flashlight” and will be available for download from February 8, 2015 on Ministry of Sound Recordings.

In related news, Eyre’s debut album “Feline” will hit stores and digital outlets on February 28, 2015 via Universal Music Group imprint Virgin EMI Records.

The highly-anticipated project boasts productions and songwriting contributions from Chris Loco, Natalia Hajjara, Two Inch Punch, Wayne Hector, Starsmith, Jarrad “Jaz” Rogers, Steve Robson and Paddy Byrne.

Ella Eyre releases debut EP in the US

Ella Eyre has released her debut mini-album in the US.

The self-titled collection – which features four songs in the shape of “Deeper,” “If I Go Home,” “Comeback” and “Home” – is now available for download via iTunes (US) in partnership with Universal Music Group / Virgin Records.

EP contributors include Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Jessie Ware), Jarrad Rogers (Rebecca Ferguson, Becky Hill), Ilya Salmanzadeh (Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande) and Paddy Byrne (Olly Murs, Sinead Harnett).

As previously reported, Eyre’s first studio collection is entitled “Feline” and it is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets in early 2015.

She also co-wrote “Changing” for Sigma along with Wayne Hector, Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Thomas “Froe” Barnes and Benjamin Kohn. The Paloma Faith-assisted track debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

MNEK hits the studio with Sigma

MNEK is making new music with drum and bass duo Sigma.

There’s been no word on what the pair worked on last night, or whether the session was intended for a future Sigma release or MNEK’s debut album.

Sigma consists of members Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie. Their singles “Nobody to Love” – a rework of Kanye West’s “Bound 2” – and “Changing,” featuring Paloma Faith, debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

Meanwhile, MNEK is scheduled to release his first studio collection in early 2015 via Virgin EMI Records (UK) and Cherrytree / Interscope Records (US).

He also confirmed placements on the next projects by Madonna [Interscope Records], Jojo [Atlantic Records], Little Mix [Columbia Records], Rudimental [Asylum Records] and Tamera Foster [Syco Music].

Some of his recent songwriting and / or production credits include “Losing” by Becky Hill [Parlophone Records], “Say Something” by Karen Harding [Capitol Records] and “Special” by Billon f/ Maxine Ashley [Virgin EMI Records].

Paloma Faith debuts new single “Ready for the Good Life”

Paloma Faith - A Perfect Contradiction

Paloma Faith has debuted her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the “Ready for the Good Life” audio clip to her official Vevo page on Monday (October 06, 2014).

“Ready for the Good Life” marks the first promotional cut from the artist’s repackaged edition of her latest album, “A Perfect Contradiction,” out in the United Kingdom on November 3rd via RCA Records.

The track was co-written and produced by Klas Ahlund, whose resume includes works for Kylie Minogue (“Speakerphone”), Britney Spears (“Piece of Me”), Madonna (“Some Girls”) and Katy Perry (“This is How We Do”).

Other songs confirmed for inclusion on the rejuvenated project are the Diane Warren-penned “Leave While I’m Not Looking” and “Best Bad Habit,” as well as Faith’s own rendition of her current Sigma collaboration “Changing.”
