Charli XCX unwraps details for third studio collection

Charli XCX has unwrapped the details for her upcoming album.

The British singer/songwriter (born Charlotte Aitchison) has dubbed her third studio collection “Charli” and will release it on September 13 via Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US).

Current promotional single “Blame It On Your Love” – featuring Lizzo – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Executive-produced by regular collaborator AG Cook, the follow-up to 2014’s “Sucker” boasts further productions and songwriting contributions from Stargate, Noonie Bao, Oscar Holter, Sasha Sloan, and Leland.

The highly-anticipated project also yields guest appearances from Christine and the Queens (“Gone”), Sky Ferreira (“Cross You Out”),  Troye Sivan (“2009”), Kim Petras (“Click”) and Brooke Candy (“Shake It”).

Sky Ferreira works with Rahki for new album “Masochism”

According to a recent interview with Dazed magazine, Sky Ferreira has worked with hip hop producer Rahki for her upcoming sophomore album.

The Grammy Award winning record producer – real name Columbus Smith – is known for his work with mentor DJ Khalil and acts such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Domo Genesis, Lecrae, Aloe Blacc and more.

His production credits include Travis Scott’s “Hell of a Night” [Grand Hustle], Curren$y’s “Lost in the Bossness” [Warner Brothers], Slim the Mobster’s “Dreaming” [Aftermath], and Evidence’s “It Wasn’t Me” [Rhymefest].

Meanwhile, Ferreira will release her next studio collection “Masochism” later this year through Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Night Time, My Time” is executive-produced by Mike Dean, who also worked with the likes of Kanye West (“Ultralight Beam”), Madonna (“Inside Out”), and The Weeknd (“Where You Belong”).

Other musicians backing Ferreira on “Masochism” are Ariel Rechtshaid (Adele, Brandon Flowers), Justin Raisen (Kylie Minogue, Ariel Pink), and Jeremiah “Nugget” Raisen (Kelela, Charli XCX).

Sky Ferreira has hinted at a new collaboration with Mike Dean.

“When you start a #head #banger with @therealmikedean and after having your ego stripped and write literal fighting words,” the singer/songwriter posted to her Instagram account on Sunday (September 06, 2015).

Dean recently co-produced “Tell Your Friends” for The Weeknd along with Kanye West, Che Pope, and Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese. The track is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

The hip hop record producer and songwriter’s extensive resume includes further works with Beyonce (“Partition”), Rihanna (“FourFiveSeconds”), Madonna (“Inside Out”) and Angel Haze (“”Black Synagogue”).

Meanwhile, Ferreira is expected to release her second studio collection “Masochism” later this year through Capitol Records.

The highly-anticipated album features contributions from Ariel Rechtshaid (Usher, Justin Bieber), Jeremiah Raisen (Kelela, MS MR), Charli XCX (Rita Ora, Gwen Stefani) and Justin Raisen (Kylie Minogue, Remi Nicole).

Ferreira’s debut studio collection, 2013’s “Night Time My Time,” peaked to number fifteen on the US Billboard Digital Albums Chart and spawned two hit singles in the shape of “You’re Not the One” and “I Blame Myself.”

Sky Ferreira has announced the title for her new single.

The singer and songwriter christened “Guardian” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming sophomore album “Masochism.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Masochism” is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The keenly-awaited project boasts collaborations with Ariel Rechtshaid and Justin Raisen, who are also responsible for Kylie Minogue’s “If Only” [Parlophone Records] and Charli XCX’s “Nuclear Seasons” [Atlantic Records].

Charli XCX unveils “Breaking Up” music video

Charli XCX has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the BRTHR-directed clip for “Breaking Up” to her official YouTube page on Tuesday (2nd December, 2014).

“Breaking Up” was written by XCX – born Charlotte Aitchison – along with Patrik Berger, Markus Krunegard and Noonie Bao.

The track follows previous promotional cut, “Break the Rules,” which is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Charli’s highly-anticipated new studio collection “Sucker” will be released on December 16 via Neon Gold Records and Atlantic Records.

Other album contributors include Stargate (Usher, Christina Milian), Benny Blanco (Miguel, Jessie Ware), Cashmere Cat (Tinashe, Ariana Grande), Jarrad Rogers (Becky Hill, Ella Eyre) and Ariel Rechtshaid (Madonna, Kylie Minogue).

Charli XCX reunites with Justin Raisen for new song “London Queen”

Charli XCX has unveiled a new song online.

“London Queen” is lifted from the British singer/songwriter’s sophomore album, “Sucker,” out on December 16 via Neon Gold / Atlantic Records.

Production duties on “London Queen” were handled by Justin Raisen, who also teamed up with XCX on “True Romance” cuts “Nuclear Seasons,” “Take My Hand,” “Stay Away” and “Black Roses.”

As previously reported, “Sucker” yields additional alliances with Stargate (Tinashe, Bebe Rexha), Benny Blanco (Miguel, Ed Sheeran), Cashmere Cat (Maroon 5, Ariana Grande) and Robopop (Lana Del Rey, Sean Paul).

XCX – born Charlotte Aitchison – also confirmed songwriting placements on the next projects by Rihanna [SRP / Roc Nation Records], Gwen Stefani [Mad Love / Interscope Records] and Sky Ferreira [Capitol Records].

Some of her notable credits include “I Love It” by Icona Pop [Big Beat / Atlantic Records], “So Alive” by Neon Jungle [RCA Records] and “OctaHate” by Ryn Weaver [Friends Keep Secrets / Interscope Records].
