17 Apr

American indie pop act Bleachers – fronted by musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer Jack Antonoff – have released their new single online.

“Hate That You Know Me” – featuring background vocals from Lorde, Carly Rae Jepsen, Julia Michaels, and Sam Dew – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Julia Michaels, who previously teamed up with Antonoff on Fifth Harmony’s “Dope,” taken from the group’s sophomore album, “7/27,” as well as “How Do We Get Back to Love,” taken from the soundtrack to the sixth season of original HBO series, “Girls.”

Production duties on “Hate That You Know Me” were handled by Antonoff alongside Greg Kurstin, whose recent credits include Brooke Candy’s “Living Out Loud,” Frances’ “Say it Again,” Niall Horan’s “This Town,” Sia’s “The Greatest,” Shura’s “Tongue Tied,” and Gwen Stefani’s “Rare.”

As mentioned in various media outlets, Bleachers’ sophomore studio collection “Gone Now” – featuring previous single “Don’t Take the Money” – will arrive on June 2 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

In addition to Kurstin, Antonoff has also collaborated with fellow producers Organized Noize (Big Boi, Cee Lo Green) and Sounwave (Kendrick Lamar, Raleigh Ritchie) on the follow-up to 2014’s “Strange Desire.”
