Joy Crookes teams with Shea Taylor for new collaboration

Joy Crookes has teamed up with Shea Taylor for a new collaboration.

The American record producer and songwriter is known for her helming Beyonce’s “Love On Top,” Mariah Carey’s “A No No,” Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin’ Bout You,” Ne-Yo’s “Lazy Love,” K. Michelle’s “Love ‘Em All,” Nicole Scherzinger’s “Happily Never After,” and Bridget Kelly’s “Street Dreaming.”

Taylor’s extensive resume boasts additional works with Rihanna (“James Joint”), Lianne La Havas (“Midnight”), Daley (“Blame the World”), Rita Ora (“Uneasy”), Janet Jackson (“Discipline”), Solange (“Told You So”), Brooke Candy (“Pop Rock”) and Paula DeAnda (“When It Was Me”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Crookes is expected to release her upcoming project later this year via Speakerbox Recordings / Insanity Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly features additional contributions from Laconic (Olivia Holt, Zak Abel), Hannah Yadi (Claudia Valentina, Dan Caplen), Jay Mooncie (Mullally, Kara Marni) and Future Cut (Kate Stewart, Mae Muller).

Crookes’ latest EP “Perceptions” – including singles “London Mine,” “Since I Left You” and “No Hands” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Future Cut teases new collaboration with Joy Crookes

British production duo Future Cut – composed of members Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola – have teased a new collaboration with Joy Crookes.

“Thank you so much @joycrookes mum for cooking the best #biriyani EVER straight from the heart,” Future Cut posted to their Instagram profile.

Notable credits by Future Cut include Lily Allen’s “Smile,” Stooshe’s “Black Heart,” Olly Murs’s “Please Don’t Let Me Go,” Little Mix’s “How Ya Doin,” Shakira’s “Gypsy,” Laura Izibor’s “Shine,” Ella Eyre’s “Together,” Ava Leigh’s “Mad About the Boy,” and Mae Muller’s “Leave it Out.”

Meanwhile, Crookes is expected to release her next project – featuring additional alliances with Laconic, Hannah Yadi, Kasper Larsen, and Negin Djafari – is expected to arrive later this year via Speakerbox Recordings in partnership with Insanity Records/Sony Music Entertainment UK.

Her current mini-album “Perceptions” – including singles “London Mine,” “Since I Left You” and “No Hands” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Joy Crookes shares music video for new single “No Hands”

Joy Crookes has shared the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “No Hands” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Friday (June 7, 2019).

Crookes co-wrote “No Hands” with Jonny Lattimer, whose other credits include Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed,” Kwabs’ “Walk,” Ella Eyre’s “Typical Me,” Foxes’ “Amazing,” Rebecca Ferguson’s “Backtrack,” and Frances’ “Let It Out.”

The track was produced by Felix Joseph, who is also responsible for Mahalia’s “Do Not Disturb,” Jorja Smith’s “Wandering Romance,” Birdy’s “Take My Heart,” Kevin Garrett’s “Strangehold,” and Elli Ingram’s “Table for Two.”

Crookes’ latest project “Perception” – featuring further contributions from Tre Jean-Marie, Ed Thomas, Bradford Ellis, Kasper Larsen, Fiona Bevan, Tom Stafford, Glen Roberts, and Paddy Byrne – is out now via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Joy Crookes has delivered her new EP online.

“Perception” – featuring five songs in the shape of “Hurts,” “No Hands,” “London Mine,” “Since I Left You” and “Darkest Hour” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

EP contributors include Felix Joseph (Mahalia, Jorja Smith), Tre Jean-Marie (Hamzaa, Mabel McVey), Jonny Lattimer (Kwabs, Sinead Harnett), Kasper Larsen (Fleur East, Nina Nesbitt), Fiona Bevan (Yuna, Ed Sheeran), Paddy Byrne (Ella Eyre, Paloma Faith) and Ed Thomas (Mae Muller, Kiah Victoria).

“Since I Left You” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track written by Crookes alongside Fiona Bevan (Tom Walker’s “My Way,” Backstreet Boys’ “Chances” and Steps’ “Scared of the Dark”) and Kasper Larsen (Fleur East’s “Know Your Name,” Calum Scott’s “Rhythm Inside,” and Chelcee Grimes’s “I Need a Night Out”).

Production duties on “Since I Left You” were handled by Tre Jean-Marie, whose other credits include Craig David’s “Magic,” Rak-Su’s “Blood Ties,” MNEK’s “Honeymoon Phaze,” Jacob Banks’ “One More Time,” Vanessa White’s “Don’t Wanna Be Your Lover,” and Four of Diamonds’ “Name On It.”

Joy Crookes has confirmed the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Don’t Let Me Down” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming project under Speakerbox Recordings / Insanity Records / Sony Music Entertainment UK.

Production duties on “Don’t Let Me Down” were handled by Tre Jean-Marie, who is also responsible for Craig David’s “Magic,” Jacob Banks’ “Monster,” Kaytranada’s “Got it Good,” Yungen’s “Intimate,” Vanessa White’s “Don’t Wanna Be Your Lover,” and Four of Diamonds’ “Name on It.”

Crooke’s next project reportedly yields further contributions from Kasper Larsen (Fleur East, Chelcee Grimes), Negin Djafari (Dan Caplen, Karen Harding), Max Wolfgang (Zara Larsson, Rita Ora), Jonny Lattimer (Sinead Harnett, Becky Hill), Glen Roberts (L Devine, Olivia Deano) and Tev’n (Kenzie May, Celeste Waite).
