Rihanna works with The Underdogs for new album

Rihanna has worked with The Underdogs for upcoming eighth album.

The – composed for Harvey Mason Jr. and Damon Thomas – are known for collaborating with the likes of Usher [RCA Records], Tank [Atlantic Records], Ciara [Epic Records] and Tamar Braxton [Streamline Records].

Some of their notable songwriting and production credits are “Baby It’s You” by Jojo [Universal Records], “How You Gonna Act Like That” by Tyrese [J Records] and “Turn Up the Music” by Chris Brown [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, Rihanna’s new album is scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / SRP / Def Jam Recordings.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and produced singles including “Diamonds,” “Stay,” “Pour it Up” and “What Now.”

Other album contributors include Rodney Jerkins (Brandy, Michael Jackson), Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Nicki Minaj), Da Internz (Cassie, Elle Varner), The Stereotypes (Tamia, John Legend) and Naughty Boy (Tanika, Emeli Sande).

Kandace Springs taps Andre Harris for debut album

Singer, songwriter and pianist Kandace Springs is scheduled to collaborate with Andre Harris for her upcoming debut album.

As previously reported, the still-untitled project is expected to be released later this year via SRP Music Group / Blue Note / Capitol Records.

Harris has previously teamed up with artists including Mariah Carey [Island Records], Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Ciara [Epic Records], Robin Thicke [Interscope Records] and Toni Braxton [Motown Records].

Some of his recent songwriting and production credits are “Don’t Make Me Wait” by LeToya Luckett [eOne Music], “Be” by Daley [Republic Records] and “Confident” by Justin Bieber [Island Def Jam Recordings].

Other hitmakers backing Springs on the highly-anticipated release are Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge (Chris Brown, Eric Bellinger), Jack Splash (Pixie Lott, Britney Spears) and James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Mack Wilds).

Kandace Springs has drafted the songwriting and production services of Andrea Martin and James Poyser for her upcoming debut album.

The singer, songwriter and pianist is expected to release her debut album later this year via SRP Music Group / Blue Note / Capitol Records.

Recent songwriting credits by Andrea Martin include Paloma Faith’s “Trouble with My Baby” [RCA Records], Naughty Boy’s “Think About It” [Virgin EMI Records] and Stooshe’s “See Me Like This” [Warner Bros. Records].

Meanwhile, James Poyser is responsible for producing “Sober Up” by Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records], “Life Has a Way” by Anthony Hamilton [RCA Records] and “Window Seat” by Erykah Badu [Motown Records].

As previously reported, the debut LP by Kandace Springs will be executively produced by New York-based hitmakers Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken.

“Runnin” is lifted from the singer, songwriter and pianist’s upcoming debut album with SRP Music Group / Blue Note / Capitol Records.

As previously reported, the still-untitled project will be executively produced by New York-based hitmakers Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken.

Other musicians backing Springs on the highly-anticipated LP are Jack Splash (K. Michele, Alicia Keys), B.A.M. (Ne-Yo, Marsha Ambrosius), Warren Felder (Usher, Chris Brown) and Andrew Wansel (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj).

The results of their collaboration are expected to appear on the artist’s upcoming debut album with SRP Music Group / Blue Note / Capitol Records.

Warren “Oak” Felder and Andrew “Pop” Wansel have previously teamed up with Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Nicki Minaj [Republic Records], Trey Songz [Atlantic Records] and Rihanna [Island Def Jam Recordings].

Some of their recent songwriting and production credits include “V.S.O.P.” by K. Michelle [Atlantic Records], “A Couple of Forevers” by Chrisette Michele [Motown Records] and “Shit Happens” by Bridget Kelly [Roc Nation Records].

Rihanna has recruited The-Dream for her upcoming eighth studio album.

The hitmaker – born Terius Nash – previously teamed up with the artist on hit singles “Umbrella,” “Hard (featuring Jeezy)” and “Rockstar 101.”

Some of The-Dream’s recent songwriting and production credits are “XO” (performed by Beyonce), “Skirt” (performed by Kylie Minogue), “Crazy Girl” (performed by Rita Ora), and “Skeletons” (performed by Tulisa).

He also confirmed placements on the next albums by Mariah Carey [Island Def Jam Recordings], Katharine McPhee [Columbia Records], Nicole Scherzinger [RCA Records] and Scotty Rebel [Motown Records].

Meanwhile, the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic” is expected to be released later this year via Universal Music / SRP / Island Def Jam Recordings.

In addition to The-Dream, the “What Now” star also enlisted Da Internz (Tinashe, Candice Glover), Naughty Boy (Labrinth, Sam Smith), DJ Mustard (will.i.am, Trey Songz), Detail (Mario, Lil Wayne), and Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Cheryl Cole).

The still-untitled collection is expected to be released later this year via Universal Music Group / SRP Music Group / Blue Note Records / Capitol Records.

Notable songwriting credits by Stacy Barthe include “Adore You” (performed by Miley Cyrus), “When It’s All Over” (performed by Alicia Keys) and “Like I Love You” (performed by Melanie Fiona).

Meanwhile, Jack Splash is responsible for co-writing and producing K. Michelle’s “Sometimes” [Atlantic Records], The Goodie Mob’s “Valleujah” [The Right Records] and Pixie Lott’s “Heart Cry” [Mercury Records].

The highly-anticipated new collection by Kandace Springs will be executively produced by Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken, who have previously worked with Rihanna [Island Records] and Livvi Franc [Warner Bros. Records].
