Toni Braxton unleashes new promotional single “Coping”

Toni Braxton has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“Coping” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by James Newman, whose other credits include Little Mix’s “Love Me Like You,” Foxes’ “Amazing,” Hailee Steinfelds’ “Digital Love,” Calvin Harris’ “Blame,” Ashley Roberts’ “Clockwork,” Becky Hill’s “False Alarm,” Jessie Ware’s “First Time,” and Diztortion’s “I’ll Be There.”

Production duties on “Coping” were handled by Stuart Crichton, whose resume boasts additional works with Kesha (“Learn to Let Go”), Ferras (“Closer”), Eden XO (“Say That Again”), Sweet California (“Hum”), Delta Goodrem (“Believe Again”), Tina Arena (“Love You Less”) and Jamelia (“Beware the Dog”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Braxton’s upcoming eighth studio collection “Sex and Cigarettes” – featuring the Fred Ball-produced lead single “Deadwood” – is scheduled to arrive early next year via Def Jam Recordings.

Chelcee Grimes drafts RedOne for debut album

British singer/songwriter Chelcee Grimes has drafted Moroccan-Swedish record producer Nadir Khayat (professionally known as RedOne) for her upcoming debut album under Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Label Group UK.

RedOne’s credits include Lady GaGa’s “Alejandro,” Jennifer Lopez’s “On the Floor,” Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like It,” Nicki Minaj’s “Starships,” Nicole Scherzinger’s “Poison,” Kelly Rowland’s “Down 4 Whatever,” Stanaj’s “The Way I Love Her,” Roya’s “Lie,” and Skyler Stecker’s “Bring Me to Life.”

His extensive resume boasts additional works with fellow songwriters Cathy Dennis, Evan “Kidd” Bogart, Simon Wilcox, Justin Tranter, Andrea Martin, Sean Douglas, Frankie Storm, Wayne Hector, Makeba Riddick, Talay Riley, Ester Dean, Bilal Hajji, Angela Hunte, Prince Charlez, and Sia Furler.

Grimes’ first studio collection, on the other hand, reportedly yields further productions and songwriting contributions from Steve Robson, Claude Kelly, Wayne Wilkins, Kara DioGuardi, Cutfather, Shelly Peiken, Jamie Hartman, Stuart Crichton, Richard “Biff” Stannard, and Ed Drewett.

Kesha releases new album “Rainbow”

American singer/songwriter Kesha Rose Sebert, known mononymously as Kesha, has released her new studio collection online.

“Rainbow” – featuring promotional singles “Praying,” “Woman,” “Hymn” and “Learn to Let Go” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project boasts songwriting contributions from Cara Salimando (Ella Henderson), James Newman (Hailee Steinfeld), Stephen Wrabel (Ellie Goulding) and Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani).

On the production front, Kesha has worked with Ricky Reed (Meghan Trainor), Stuart Crichton (Kylie Minogue), Drew Pearson (Michelle Branch), Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift) and Rick Nowels (Lana Del Rey).

“Woman” – featuring the Dap-Kings Horns – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Kesha alongside fellow recording artist Wrabel, whose other credits include Afrojack’s “Ten Feet Tall,” Ellie Goulding’s “Devotion,” Rozzi Crane’s “Crazy Ass Bitch,” Katharine McPhee’s “Break,” Adam Lambert’s “Nirvana,” and Lea Michele’s “Run to You.”

Production duties on “Woman” were collectively handled by Drew Pearson (Michelle Branch, Phillip Phillips) and Christopher “Brody” Brown (Adele, Bruno Mars).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Kesha’s upcoming third album “Rainbow” – featuring the Ben Abraham-assisted / Ryan Lewis-produced “Praying” – will arrive on August 11 via Kemosabe Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Warrior” boasts further contributions from Ricky Reed (Halsey), Justin Tranter (Troye Sivan), Ryan Tedder (Ariana Grande), Stuart Crichton (Kylie Minogue) and James Newman (Hailee Steinfeld).
