LEON confirms details for new promotional single

LEON has confirmed the details for her new promotional single.

The Swedish singer/songwriter (born Lotta Louise Lindgren) has christened “Surround Me” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming project and will release it on July 7th via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Wrabel, whose other credits include Afrojack’s “Ten Feet Tall,” Ellie Goulding’s “Devotion,” Rozzi Crane’s “Crazy Ass Bitch,” Katharine McPhee’s “Break,” Prince Royce’s “Kiss Kiss,” Adam Lambert’s “Nirvana,” and Lea Michele’s “Run to You.”

Production duties on “Surround Me” were collectively handled Jon Mills and Kurtis “K9” McKenzie of The Arcade, who are also responsible for Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know,” Bipolar Sunshine’s “Are You Happy,” Khalid’s “Cold Blooded,” Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It,” and G-Eazy’s “Calm Down.”

LEON’s upcoming project, on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records. The still-untitled collection follows 2015’s and 2017’s EPs, “Treasure” and “For You,” respectively.

Paloma Faith enlists Starsmith for a new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Paloma Faith has enlisted Starsmith for a new collaboration.

The multi-platinum selling songwriter, producer, remixer and DJ (born Finlay Dow-Smith) is known for helming Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed,” Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand,” Kwabs’ “Fight for Love,” Ella Eyre’s “Don’t Follow Me,” Kylie Minogue’s “Put Your Hands Up,” Mika’s “Staring at the Sun,” Clean Bandit’s “Real Love,” Betty Who’s “Better,” and M.O’s “Preach.”

His extensive resume boasts additional works with fellow producers and songwriters including Francis “Eg” White, Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Talay Riley, Natalia Hajjara, Jonny Coffer, Ina Wroldsen, Jack Patterson, Lucy “Pawws” Taylor, Justin Parker, Al Shux, Joel Compass, Martin Terefe, Scott “Babydaddy” Hoffman, and Benny Benassi.

Meanwhile, Faith is expected to release her fourth album, tentatively entitled “The Architect,” later this year via Sony Music UK / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2014’s “A Perfect Contradiction” reportedly delivers further productions from Jake Gosling (Shania Twain), Greg Kurstin (Liam Gallagher), Fraser T. Smith (Adele), Klas Ahlund (Robyn), Jesse Shatkin (Kelly Clarkson), The Arcade (Rita Ora), Cass Lowe (Nick Jonas), Fred Ball (Rihanna), Knox Brown (Emeli Sande), Jamie Scott (Rag’n’Bone Man) and TMS (Liam Tomlinson).

Among the songwriters expected to appear on the album are Lindy Robbins (Selena Gomez), Wayne Hector (Jason Derulo), Chiara Hunter (David Guetta), John Newman (Olly Murs), Cleo Tighe (Foxes), Linus Wiklund (Noonie Bao), Isley Juber (Lykke Li), Alexander Kronlund (Demi Lovato), Maureen “MoZella” McDonald (Lea Michele) and Clarence Coffee Jr. (Allie X).

Selena Gomez has announced the details for her new single.

The American singer, songwriter, and actress has christened “Bad Liar” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming album and will release it on May 19 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written by regular collaborators Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who previously teamed up with Gomez on “Revival,” “Good for You,” “Me & the Rhythm,” “Perfect” and “Hands to Myself.”

Production duties on “Bad Liar” were handled by Ian Kirkpatrick, whose other credits include Sage the Gemini’s “Bachelor Party,” Jason Derulo’s “If It Ain’t Love,” Britney Spears’ “Hard to Forget Ya,” Chris Brown’s “Fine By Me,” Nick Jonas’ “Levels,” and Justin Bieber’s “The Feeling.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Gomez’s next studio collection is scheduled to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further songwriting contributions from Ross Golan (Charlie Puth), Lisa Scinta (Alice Chater), Jacob “JKash” Kasher (Maroon 5), Charli XCX (AlunaGeorge) and Ammar Malik (Ed Sheeran).

Among the producers expected to appear on the follow-up to 2015’s “Revival” are The Arcade (Rita Ora), Hit-Boy (Kelly Rowland), The Futuristics (Halsey), Hazebanga (Santigold), Jonas Jeberg (Meghan Trainor), Leland (Fleur East), Rami Yacoub (Demi Lovato) and Mattman & Robin (DNCE).

The Swedish production duo – composed of Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson – previously teamed up with Gomez on “Hands to Myself” and “Me & the Rhythm,” taken from the artist’s 2015 album, “Revival.”

Mattman & Robin’s extensive resume boasts further works with Taylor Swift (“All You Had to Stay”), Ellie Goulding (“Love Me Like You Do”), DNCE (“Cake By the Ocean”), Carly Rae Jepsen (“Run Away with Me”), Tove Lo (“Moments”), Hailee Steinfeld (“Love Myself”), Nick Jonas (“Close”), Britney Spears (“Do You Wanna Come Over?”) and Gwen Stefani (“Make Me Like You”).

Meanwhile, Gomez is expected to release her new studio collection later this year via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

MØ has recorded new music with Ali Tamposi, Brian Lee, and Andrew Watt.

The songwriting trio are responsible for Kygo’s “It Ain’t Me” with Selena Gomez, now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Tamposi, Lee and Watt are also known for co-writing DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You” with Justin Bieber, which peaked to number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Meanwhile, MØ – real name Karen Ørsted – is expected to release her sophomore album later this year via Chess Club / RCA Records.
