Katharine McPhee schedules release date for new single “Lick My Lips”

Katharine McPhee has scheduled the release date for her new single.

The singer and songwriter is plotting to unveil “Lick My Lips” on May 26 via iTunes and all other digital retailers.

“Lick My Lips” was written by Australian recording artist Sam Sparro along with Isabella Summers of Florence the Machine, whose other credits include Iggy Azalea [Virgin EMI Records] and Conor Maynard [Parlophone Records].

The track also marks the first promotional cut from McPhee’s third studio album and first offering under Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

Other musicians backing McPhee on the still-untitled project are Ina Wroldsen (Selena Gomez, Leona Lewis), The-Dream (Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger) and Toby Gad (Alicia Keys, John Legend).

Tamia confirms tracklisting for new album “Love Life”

Tamia has confirmed the official tracklisting for her upcoming sixth album.

The Canadian singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Love Life” on June 9 under Universal Music Group / Def Jam Records.

Current single “Stuck with Me” was produced by Polow Da Don, whose other credits include Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Republic], Fergie’s “London Bridge” [Interscope] and Jamie Foxx’s “DJ Play a Love Song” [RCA].

“Love Life” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Beautiful Surprise,” which peaked to number six on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Love Life” will feature further productions from Da Internz (Tinashe, John Legend), Bryan Michael Cox (Ciara, Toni Braxton), Chuck Harmony (Ne-Yo, Janet Jackson) and Tricky Stewart (Usher, Britney Spears).

On the songwriting front, Tamia has collaborated with Alicia Renee (Rihanna, Ariana Grande), Johnta Austin (Aaliyah, Keri Hilson), Claude Kelly (Brandy, Leona Lewis) and The-Dream (Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez).

Tamia has shared her new single online.

The Canadian singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Stuck With Me” to her Vevo channel on Wednesday (May 06, 2015).

Production duties on “Stuck With Me” were handled by Polow Da Don, who is also responsible for Fergie’s “London Bridge” [Interscope], Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Republic] and Ciara’s “Promise” [RCA].

The track marks the second promotional cut from Tamia’s sixth album, “Love Life,” out on June 9 under Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.

Previous single “Sandwich and a Soda” – which was co-written by Alicia Renee Williams along with Warren “Oak” Felder, Andrew “Pop” Wansel and Steve “Aceface” Mostyn – is now available for download via iTunes.

Madison Beer drafts Denarius “Motesart” Motes for debut album

Singer/songwriter Madison Beer has drafted the production services of Motesart for her upcoming debut album.

Motesart is known for producing and co-writing “Loved Me Back to Life” for Celine Dion along with Sia Furler and Hasham Hussein. The track is taken from the Dion’s eleventh English studio album of the same name.

Other notable credits by Motesart – born Denarius Motes – are Cover Drive’s “No Brakes” [Polydor Records], Melanie Fiona’s “Rock Paper Scissors” [Republic Records] and Guy Sebastian’s “Summer Love” [Sony Music Australia].

Meanwhile, Beer’s debut studio collection is expected to hit stores later this year under Universal Music Group / Island Records.

Lead single “Melodies” – which was co-written by Ina Wroldsen and produced by Thomas Barnes, Benjamin Kohn an Peter Keller of TMS – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

The still-untitled album will boast further collaborations with Toby Gad (Beyonce, John Legend), Taylor Parks (Zendaya, Jason Derulo), Tricky Stewart (Brandy, Jennifer Lopez) and The-Dream (Ciara, Mariah Carey).

Tamia has revealed a new song title from her upcoming sixth album.

“Lipstick” is slotted for inclusion on the Canadian singer/songwriter’s next studio collection “Love Life,” out on June 9th under Def Jam Recordings.

The track was written by Tamia along with Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony, who have also worked with Fantasia (“Bittersweet”), Jessie J (“I Miss Her”), Chrisette Michelle (“Blame It on Me”) and Tori Kelly (“Funny”).

Kelly and Harmony have also formed a new group called Louis York. Their debut single “Clair Huxtable” is now available for download via iTunes.

Tamia’s last studio album, 2013’s “Beautiful Surprise,” was released via EMI Records and peaked to number six on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

Current single “Sandwich and a Soda” was co-written by Alicia Renea (Rihanna, Ariana Grande) and produced by Warren Felder (Brandy, K. Michelle), Andrew Wansel (Usher, Nicki Minaj) and Steve Mostyn (Miguel, Elle Varner).

Other musicians backing Tamia on “Love Life” are Johnta Austin (Mariah Carey, Jordin Sparks), Bryan Michael Cox (Ciara, Faith Evans), Tricky Stewart (Pink, Nicole Scherzinger) and The-Dream (Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion).

Tamia has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Sandwich and a Soda” to her Vevo channel on Friday (April 17, 2015).

“Sandwich and a Soda” – which was produced by Warren “Oak” Felder, Andrew “Pop” Wansel and Steve “Aceface” Mostyn – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Katharine McPhee has confirmed the title of her new single.

The singer/songwriter christened “Lick My Lips” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming studio album under Columbia Records.

An accompanying music video will be shot by famed director Diane Martel, whose other credits include Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” [Interscope Records] and Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” [RCA Records].

The still-untitled studio collection by McPhee is executive-produced by Scooter Braun, whose also overseeing the next projects by Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope], Tori Kelly [Capitol] and Ariana Grande [Republic].

On the songwriting and production front, the new project boasts contributions from Isabella Summers (Florence Welch, Conor Maynard), Ina Wroldsen (Janelle Monae, Leona Lewis) and Terius “The-Dream” Nash (Rihanna, Britney Spears).
