Iggy Azalea confirms new single “Black Widow”

Iggy Azalea has confirmed the details for her new single.

The Australian rapper – born Amethyst Kelly – dubbed “Black Widow” as the next promotional single from her upcoming debut album, “The New Classic,” out on April 21 via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The Rita Ora-assisted track was co-written by Sarah Hudson and Katy Perry, who previously helmed works for Britney Spears (“Passenger”), Kelly Clarkson (“I Don’t Hook Up”) and Lesley Roy (“Slow Goodbye”).

Production duties were handled by Stargate and Benny Blanco, who are also responsible for Lea Michele’s “Cannonball” [Columbia Records], Rihanna’s “Diamonds” [SRP Records] and Jessie J’s “Thunder” [Republic Records].

As previously reported, “The New Classic” will boast further collaborations with The Invisible Men (Nicola Roberts, Conor Maynard), Planet VI (Tessanne Chin, Kat Dahlia) and The Messengers (Chris Brown, Justin Bieber).

Iggy Azalea has unwrapped the credits for her upcoming debut album.

The Australian rapper – born Amethyst Kelly – is scheduled to release “The New Classic” on April 22 via Universal Music Group / Island / Def Jam Recordings.

New single “Fancy” – which features Charli XCX – was produced by 1st Down and The Invincible Men, who are also responsible for Ellie Goulding’s “Flashlight” [Polydor Records] and Katy B’s “Next Thing” [Columbia Records].

Other album producers include The Messengers (Chris Brown, Justin Bieber), Stargate (Kelly Rowland, Jessica Sanchez), Benny Blanco (Rihanna, Lea Michele) and The Arcade (Conor Maynard, Nicola Roberts).

Shakira has announced the title of her new single.

The Columbian artist dubbed “Dare (La La La)” as the third promotional single from her latest album, “Shakira,” out now via RCA Records.

The track was co-written by Max Martin, whose recent credits include Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” [Capitol Records], G.R.L’s “Vacation” [Kemosabe Records] and Cassadee Pope’s “Easier to Lie” [Republic Nashville Records].

Production duties on the follow-up to previous single “Empire” were handled by Shakira along with Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Henry “Cirkut” Walter, Mathieu “Billboard” Jomphe and John “J2” Conte Jr.

Shakira has revealed the official credits for her upcoming album.

The Columbian singer/songwriter is scheduled to release the self-titled project on March 25 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

New single “Empire” is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets. The track was co-written by Ina Wroldsen (Britney Spears, Pixie Lott) and produced by Steve Mac (Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis).

Other album producers include Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Henry “Cirkut” Walther, Mathieu “Billboard” Jomphe, Michael Busbee, Greg Kurstin, Nasri Atweh, Adam Messinger, John Hill, and Tom “Kid Harpoon” Hull.

Justin Bieber has debuted a new song online.

“Backpack” – which features Lil Wayne – is taken from the Canadian artist’s latest compilation album, “Journals,” out now via Island Def Jam Recordings.

The track was co-written by Nasri Atweh and Adam Messinger, who previously teamed up with Bieber on “Believe” single “All Around the World.”

The songwriting and production duo, more commonly known as The Messenger, are also known for collaborating with the likes of Chris Brown [RCA Records], Karmin [Epic Records] and Delta Goodrem [Sony Music Australia].

Among the other musicians backing Bieber on “Journals” – which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Believe Acoustic” – are Diplo, Soundz, T-Minus, Darkchild, Jason Boyd, Andre Harris, Maejor Ali, Ryan Toby, and The Audibles.
