Brandy debuts new song “Beggin & Pleadin”

Brandy has debuted a new song online.

The audio clip for “Beggin & Pleadin” has been posted to the singer and actress’s SoundCloud channel on Tuesday (January 05, 2016).

“Beggin & Pleadin” was co-written by Kirby Lauryen, whose other credits include Fleur East’s “Over Getting Over” [Syco], Monica’s “All Men Lie” [RCA], and Kanye West’s “Only One” [Def Jam].

Production duties were collectively helmed by Warren “Oak” Felder (Ariana Grande), Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Nicki Minaj), Ronald “Flippa” Colson (K. Michelle), and Steve “Aceface” Mostyn (Prince Royce).

The track is also slotted for inclusion on Brandy’s upcoming seventh studio collection and follow-up to 2012’s “Two Eleven,” which peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other contributors on the still-untitled album are Darhyl “DJ” Camper (John Legend), Stacy Barthe (Katy Perry), Hit-Boy (Sevyn Streeter), Diane Warren (Rita Ora), and Tiago Carvalho (Rihanna).

Brandy enlists Darhyl “DJ” Camper for new EP

Brandy is plotting to release a five-song EP later this year.

The still-untitled collection will be entirely produced by Darhyl “DJ” Camper, whose recent credits include Nicki Minaj’s “Favorite” f/ Jeremih [Republic Records] and Ne-Yo’s “Make It Easy” [Motown Records].

Camper’s resume includes further works for Mariah Carey [Epic Records], John Legend [Columbia Records], Tamar Braxton [Streamline Records], Elle Varner [RCA Records] and Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records].

Brandy’s sixth album, 2012’s “Two Eleven,” peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned two hit singles in the shape of “Put it Down” (featuring Chris Brown) and “Wildest Dreams.”

For her seventh studio collection, Brandy has recruited MBK Entertainment CEO Jeff Robinson as the executive producer. He is also overseeing the next projects by Justine Skye, Gabi Wilson, Tiara Thomas, and Daisha.

Other album contributors are Hit-Boy (Ciara, Selena Gomez), Diane Warren (Rita Ora, Kelly Rowland), Steve Mostyn (Usher, Jennifer Lopez), Kirby Lauryen (Beyonce, Ariana Grande) and Tiago Carvalho (Rihanna, Elijah Blake).

Jennifer Lopez unleashes “Feel the Light” music video

Jennifer Lopez has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Feel the Light” to her Vevo channel on Friday (March 20, 2015).

“Feel the Light” was written by Canadian recording artist Kiesza along with Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Stargate (Beyonce, Christina Milian) and Emile Haynie (Bruno Mars, Lana Del Rey).

The track is lifted from the original motion picture soundtrack, “Home,” which will be available for download from March 23 via iTunes and Roc Nation.

Other musicians who contributed to “Home” are Tiago Carvalho (Brandy, Elijah Blake), Ester Dean (Rihanna, Britney Spears), Rodney Jerkins (Sam Smith, Janet Jackson) and Maureen “Mozella” McDonald (Tinashe, Miley Cyrus).

Elijah Blake debuts new single “I Just Wanna”

Elijah Blake has debuted his new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the official audio clip for “I Just Wanna” to his Vevo channel on Monday (March 16, 2015).

“I Just Wanna” was written by Blake along with Andrew Swanson, Colby Zinser, Lyrica Anderson, Floyd Bentley and Anthony Williams.

The Djemba Djema-produced track is lifted from the artist’s debut album, “Songs About Melody,” out soon via ARTium and Def Jam Recordings.

Other producers associated with the project are No I.D. (Jhene Aiko, Snoh Aalegra), Two Inch Punch (Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware), Tiago Carvalho (Brandy, James Fauntleroy) and Chris Loco (Kwabs, Emeli Sande).

On songwriting front, Blake has contributed the next releases by Rihanna [SRP Records] and Jordin Sparks [Larger Than Life Records].

Camper is known for co-writing and producing Elle Varner’s “Refill” [MBK / RCA Records], Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War” [Epic Records] and Stacy Barthe’s “Flawed Beautiful Creatures” [Homeschool / Motown Records].

His resume also includes works for Mariah Carey [Epic Records], John Legend [Columbia Records], Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records], Big Sean [Def Jam Recordings] and Nicki Minaj [Cash Money / Republic Records].

Meanwhile, Brandy is expected to release her seventh studio collection and follow-up to 2012’s “Two Eleven” later this year.

Rihanna has released a new song online.

“Towards the Sun” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Roc Nation and Westbury Road Entertainment.

The track appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “Home,” which will hit stores and digital outlets on March 17.

Production duties on “Towards the Sun” were handled by Tiago Carvalho (James Arthur, Elijah Blake) and Gary Go (Ronan Keating, Katharine McPhee).

“Home” features further guest appearances from Charli XCX (“Red Balloon”), Kiesza (“Cannonball”), Jennifer Lopez (“Feel the Light”), Clarence Coffee Jr. (“Run to Me”) and James Clark (“Peaceful Holiday”).

The release date for Rihanna’s upcoming concept album has been revealed.

Dreamworks Animation’s “Home“ is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets on March 17 via Roc Nation and Rihanna’s label Westbury Road Entertainment.

In addition to Rihanna, the original motion picture soundtrack boasts further guest appearances from Jennifer Lopez (“Feel the Light”), Charli XCX (“Red Balloon”), Kiesza (“Cannonball”) and Clarence Coffee Jr. (“Run to Me”).

Album producers include Stargate (Brandy, Toni Braxton), Rodney Jerkins (Ciara, Toni Braxton), Cashmere Cat (Usher, Bebe Rexha), Emile Haynie (Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars) and Tiago Carvalho (James Arthur, Elijah Blake).

Rihanna recruits Sam Smith for new album?

Sam Smith has hinted at a new collaboration with Rihanna.

“I’m personally very excited for Rihanna’s album. I know some stuff about that record that no-one knows” the British singer/songwriter stated in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Smith – real name Samuel Frederick Smith – recently co-wrote four songs on Mary J. Blige’s latest CD, “The London Sessions.” The songs in question are “Right Now,” “Nobody But You,” “Therapy” and “Not Loving You.”

His debut album “In the Lonely Hour” is now available for download via PMR Records and Capitol Records. The platinum-selling project includes singles “Money on My Mind,” “Stay with Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna’s next studio collection will be released later this year via Roc Nation in partnership with SRP Records.

The highly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other songwriters previously linked to the new album, tentatively entitled “R8,” are Natalia Kills, Elijah Blake, Kiesza, James Fauntleroy, Emeli Sande, Charli XCX, Ne-Yo, Anjulie Persaud, Kelly Sheehan, and Ester Dean.

On the production front, Rihanna has reportedly teamed with Stargate, Naughty Boy, DJ Mustard, Alex Da Kid, Jeff Bhasker, Glass John, and Tiago Carvalho.

Barbadian songbird Rihanna has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“Não Tenho Culpa (Not My Fault)” was co-written by James Fauntleroy along with Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Stargate, who previously teamed with Rihanna on hit singles “Te Amo” and “Wait Your Turn.”

The track is expected to appear on Rihanna’s highly-anticipated eighth album, which will be released via Roc Nation in partnership with SRP Records.

Other musicians backing the “Pour it Up” star on the new LP, tentatively entitled “R8,” are Jeff Bhasker, Kiesza, Tiago Carvalho, Natalia Kills, Ester Dean, Ne-Yo, Charli XCX, DJ Mustard, Emeli Sande, Alex Da Kid, and Naughty Boy.

The R&B singer/songwriter – born Sean Fenton – is scheduled to release “Drift” on September 30 via ARTium Records / Def Jam Recordings.

The highly-anticipated project will be executive produced by Ernest “No I.D.” Wilson, whose extensive resume includes works for Common [Def Jam], Kanye West [Roc-A-Fella], Toni Braxton [Motown] and Jhene Aiko [ARTium].

Other EP contributors are Warren “Oak” Felder (K. Michelle, Alicia Keys), Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Trey Songz, Chris Brown), Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese (Drake, The Weeknd) and Tiago Carvalho (Ina Wroldsen, James Arthur).
