Sam Smith confirms title for sophomore album

Sam Smith has confirmed the title for his upcoming sophomore album.

The British singer/songwriter (born Samuel Frederick Smith) christened his second studio collection “TPH-50HR” (which means The Pink House 50 Heydon Road) and will release it in September via Capitol Records.

The highly-anticipated project reunites Smith with regular collaborator Jimmy Napes (born James Napier), who also contributed to the next projects by Mumford and Sons, Ray BLK, Tori Kelly, Rita Ora, Liv Dawson, Eliza Caird, Raye, Clean Bandit, Etham, Ria Ritchie, and Yebba.

The follow-up to 2014’s “In the Lonely Hour” reportedly boasts additional songwriting contributions from Levi Lennox (FKA twigs), Rachel Furner (Craig David), Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd (Kelly Rowland), Sophie “Frances” Cooke (Meghan Trainor) and Iain James (Olly Murs).

Among the producers expected to appear on the album are Malay (Frank Ocean), Cass Lowe (Sinead Harnett), Two Inch Punch (Rag’n’Bone Man), Martin Sjolie (Charlotte OC), Paul Epworth (John Legend), Fred Cox (Grace Carter), Joel Little (Lorde), Timbaland (Beyonce) and Fraser T. Smith (Stormzy).

Sam Smith drafts Timbaland for sophomore album

British singer/songwriter Sam Smith has drafted the production services of Timbaland for his upcoming sophomore album.

The American record producer, singer, songwriter, rapper and DJ – born Timothy Mosley – is known for his works with Missy Elliot (“Work It”), Aaliyah (“Try Again”), Justin Timberlake (“Cry Me a River”), Nelly Furtado (“Maneater”), Rihanna (“Rehab”) and Beyonce (“Drunk in Love”).

Timbaland’s extensive resume boasts further works with Ginuwine (“Pony”), Adina Howard (“Sexual Needs”), Nicole Wray (“Make it Hot”), Keri Hilson (“Return the Favor”), Demi Lovato (“All Night Long”), Jennifer Hudson (“Pocketbook”), Kelis (“Running Mate”), Brandy (“Drum Life”), Solange (“Get Together”) and Destiny’s Child (“Get on the Bus”).

Meanwhile, Smith is expected to release his sophomore studio collection in late September via Method Records and Capitol Records.

Among the songwriters expected to appear on the still-untitled project are Rachel Furner (Craig David), Jason Boyd (Jennifer Lopez), Levi Lennox (Zayn Malik), Johnny McDaid (Ed Sheeran) and Tobias Jesso Jr. (Kacy Hill).

Bebe Rexha has announced the release date for her upcoming project.

“All Your Fault: Pt. 1” – featuring current promotional single “I Got You” – will arrive on February 17 via Warner Brothers Records.

In addition to regular collaborators Lauren Christy and Jacob “JKash” Kasher, the highly-anticipated collection reportedly delivers further songwriting contributions from Ross Golan, Sean Douglas, Iain James, Levi Lennox, Ilsey Juber, Talay Riley, Evan “Kidd” Bogart, Simon Wilcox, Brandyn Burnette, MoZella, Clarence Coffee Jr., Sam Martin, and Trey Campbell.

On the production front, Rexha has teamed up with Timbaland, Stargate, Captain Cuts, The Chainsmokers, Invisible Men, MNEK, TMS, Jason Evigan, Fraser T. Smith, Joel Little, Christopher Braide, Jonas Jeberg, Emanuel Kiriakou, Andrew Goldstein, Mitch Allen, Ian Kirkpatrick, Cook Classics, Gladius, DJ Mustard, Busbee, Christoph Andersson, Jon Levine, and Billy Steinberg.

As a songwriter, Rexha recently co-penned Nick Jonas’ “Under You” alongside Savan Kotecha, Rickard Goransson, Ali Payami, and Max Martin.

Her other credits include Martin Garrix’s “In the Name of Love,” Iggy Azalea’s “Team,” G-Eazy’s “Me, Myself, & I,” Bella Thorne’s “One More Night,” Tinashe’s “All Hands on Deck,” David Guetta’s “Hey Mama,” Cash Cash’s “Take Me Home,” Selena Gomez’s “Champion,” and Nikki Williams’ “Glowing.”

Bebe Rexha has shared the music video for her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “I Got You” to her YouTube channel on Friday (January 06, 2017).

The track was co-written by Rexha alongside regular collaborators Lauren Christy (Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Chris Brown) and Jacob Kasher Hindlin (Selena Gomez, Charlie Puth, Zara Larsson).

Production duties on “I Got You” were handled by Captain Cuts, who are also behind Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up & Dance” (2014), Halsey’s “Roman Holiday” (2015) and American Authors’ “What We Live For” (2016).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Rexha’s first studio collection “All Your Fault” will arrive later this year via Warner Brothers Records.

The long-awaited project reportedly delivers further productions from Stargate, Jonas Jeberg, Ian Kirkpatrick, Joel Little, Timbaland, DJ Mustard, Cook Classics, MNEK, Gladius, Christoph Andersson, Jason Evigan, and TMS.

Bebe Rexha has recorded new music with MNEK.

It is yet to be known whether the session was intended for another artist or Rexha’s upcoming debut album.

MNEK’s recent songwriting and production credits include Beyonce’s “Hold Up” [Columbia], Rudimental’s “Rumour Mill” [Atlantic], Alex Newell’s “Basically Over You” [Big Beat] and MØ’s “Final Song” [RCA].

He also contributed to the next projects by Becky Hill, KStewart, Sabina Ddumba, Charli XCX, Tamera Foster, Melissa Steel, Craig David, Jojo, Olly Murs, Zara Larsson, Karen Harding, Chromeo, JONES, Anne-Marie, and Raye.

Meanwhile, Rexha will release her first studio collection – featuring “No Broken Hearts” – later this year through Warner Brothers Records.

The still-untitled LP reportedly delivers alliances with Timbaland (Nelly Furtado), Jason Evigan (Britney Spears), Sean Douglas (Enrique Iglesias), Fraser T. Smith (Adele), Christopher Braide (Lana Del Rey) and Billy Steinberg (Madonna).

On the songwriting front, Rexha co-penned “Under You” for Nick Jonas’s upcoming third album “Last Year Was Complicated” along with Savan Kotecha, Ali Payami, Rickard Goransson and Max Martin.
