Stargate celebrate 20 years in the music business

Norwegian songwriting and production duo Stargate, which is composed of members Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, have celebrated 20 years in the music business.

Alongside former member Hallgeir Rustan, and before relocating to the United States, Stargate have helmed hits for Samantha Mumba (“Always Come Back to Your Love”), Misteeq (“Scandalous”), Shola Ama (“Still Believe”), Blue (“All Rise”), Javine (“Real Things”), Atomic Kitten (“It’s OK”), Billie Piper (“Day & Night”), Fierce (“Sweet Love 2K”) and Ashley Ballard (“Hottie”).

Stargate’s recent credits include David Guetta’s “Light Headed,” Charli XCX’s “Girls Night Out,” Khalid’s “Stay,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Almost Love,” Ne-Yo’s “Without You,” Tinashe’s “Faded Love,”  Majid Jordan’s “Body Talk,” Camila Cabello’s “OMG,” and Sam Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes.”

Under Tim Blacksmith and Danny D’s management, Stargate have also worked with songwriters Johnta Austin, Frankie Storm, Claude Kelly, Starrah, Phillip “Taj” Jackson, Autumn Rowe, Justin Tranter, Ester Dean, Ross Golan, Amanda Ghost, James Fauntleroy, Kristal “Tyterwriter” Oliver, and Ryan Toby.

Tinashe enlists NOVA WAV for new collaboration

Tinashe has enlisted NOVA WAV for a new collaboration.

The American songwriting and production duo (composed of Denisia “Blu June” Andrews and Brittany “Chi” Coney) are responsible for Kehlani’s “CRZY,” taken from the artist’s debut studio collection “SweetSexySavage,” which peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

NOVA WAV’s resume boasts further works with Ariana Grande (“Best Mistake”), Britney Spears (“Hard to Forget Ya”), August Alsina (“Drugs”), Tessanne Chin (“Love Suicide”) and Bobby Valentino (“Tipsey Love”).

Meanwhile, Tinashe is expected to release her sophomore album “Joyride” later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further productions and songwriting contributions from Fred Ball, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Jonas Jeberg, Sam Hook, Komi Hakam, Ester Dean, Arrow Benjamin, Hitmaka, Max Martin, Benny Cassette, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, BloodPop, and Stargate.

Tinashe’s current promotional single “Flame” – which was co-written by Ilsey Juber, Simon Wilcox, Nasri Atweh, and Nolan “Sir Nolan” Lambroza – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Tinashe enlists Eyelar Mirzazadeh for new collaboration

Tinashe has enlisted Dutch singer/songwriter Eyelar Mirzazadeh, professionally known as Eyelar, for a new collaboration.

Eylar is known for co-writing Taya’s “Got Me Wondering,” Charli XCX’s “After the Afterparty,” Redlight’s “Here with Me,” Diztortion’s “I’ll Be There,” Yellow Claw’s “Catch Me,” and R3hab’s “Get Up.”

Her extensive resume boasts additional works with fellow musicians including Luke Fitton, Karen Poole, Fred Ball, Chelsea Lena, Arrow Benjamin, Shola Ama, Diztortion, Chiara Hunter, Toddla T, Nicola Roberts, Jonny Coffer, MNEK, Tre Jean-Marie, Knightstarr, James Newman, and Stargate.

Meanwhile, Tinashe is expected to release her sophomore album “Joyride,” which follows 2014’s “Aquarius,” 2015’s “Amethyst” and 2016’s “Nightride,” later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Current promotional single “Flame” – which was co-written by Ilsey Juber, Simon Wilcox, Nasri Atweh, and Nolan “Sir Nolan” Lambroza – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Tinashe unleashes new single “Flame”

American singer/songwriter Tinashe has unleashed her new single online.

“Flame” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Ilsey Juber (Noah Cyrus, Ellie Goulding), Simon Wilcox (Gallant, Betty Who) and Nasri Atweh (Shakira, Tove Lo).

Production duties on “Flame” were handled by Sir Nolan, whose other credits include Louis Tomlinson’s “Just Hold On,” Nick Jonas’ “Jealous,” Selena Gomez’s “Good for You,” Rita Ora’s “Poison,” Demi Lovato’s “Body Say,” Rachel Platten’s “Speechless,” and Fifth Harmony’s “All in My Head (Flex).”

As mentioned in various media outlets, Tinashe’s sophomore studio collection “Joyride” – featuring previous single “Supelove” – will arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2014’s “Joyride” reportedly delivers additional songwriting contributions from Julia Michaels (Gwen Stefani), Ester Dean (Charli XCX), Justin Tranter (Britney Spears) and Sam Hook (Miley Cyrus).

Among the producers expected to appear on the highly-anticipated album are Max Martin (Camila Cabello), Jonas Jeberg (Zara Larsson), BloodPop (Madonna), Benny Cassette (Keri Hilson), GRADES (Dua Lipa), Komi Hakam (Tamera Foster) and Stargate (Bebe Rexha).

Tinashe unleashes music video for new single “Company”

Tinashe has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “Company” to her Vevo channel on Friday (January 06, 2017).

“Company” was written and produced by Terius “The-Dream” Nash, who previously teamed with Tinashe on the Tricky Stewart-assisted “Super Love.”

His recent credits also include “Love Song” (Justine Skye), “Woo” (Rihanna), “6 Inch” (Beyonce), “Bump” (Usher), “F.U.B.U.” (Solange), “Ultralight Beam” (Kanye West) and “Calling All” (Phantogram).

Meanwhile, Tinashe’s latest album “Nightride” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Other album contributors include Sango (Bryson Tiller), Dpat (Wiz Khalifa), Metro Boomin (Drake), Joel Compass (FKA twigs), Dev Hynes (Jessie Ware), Scott Hoffman (Melanie Martinez) and Illangelo (Alicia Keys).

Tinashe has released her new digital album online.

“Nightride” – featuring singles “Company,” “Ride of Your Life” and “Party Favors” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Amongst the producers backing Tinashe on “Nightride” are The-Dream (Beyonce), Metro Boomin (Kanye West), Allen Ritter (Rihanna), Boi-1da (Drake), Vinylz (Jamie Foxx), Illangelo (Alicia Keys) and Joel Compass (FKA twigs).

The keenly-awaited project boasts further contributions from Nicola Roberts (Professor Green), Devonte Hynes (Solange), Amanda Ghost (Jordin Sparks), Scott Hoffman (Melanie Martinez) and Rosina Russell (K. Michelle).

Britney Spears drafts Tinashe for new single “Slumber Party”

Britney Spears has selected her new single.

The singer-songwriter christened “Slumber Party” as the next promotional cut from her ninth album, “Glory,” now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

“Slumber Party” – featuring guest vocals by fellow recording artist Tinashe – was co-written by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter alongside the song’s producers Mattias Larsen and Robin Fredriksson of Mattman & Robin.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Michaels is currently recording material for her upcoming debut album under Republic Records.

Alongside songwriting partner, Tranter, the duo have contributed to the next projects by Betty Who, Jasmine Thompson, Ella Henderson, Hailee Steinfeld, Zara Larsson, Rita Ora, Snakehips, Selena Gomez, and Years & Years.

Tinashe, on the other hand, is expected to release her highly-anticipated sophomore studio collection “Joyride” – featuring singles “Super Love” and “Company” – later this year through RCA Records.
