Louisa Johnson registers new song title with ASCAP

Louisa Johnson has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“Feeling It” was written by Alexandra “Ali” Tamposi (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Chloe Angelides (Lily Allen, Jason Derulo) and Steven “Steve Mac” McCutcheon (Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora).

The track is slotted for inclusion on Johnson’s upcoming debut album under Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

Current promotional single “Best Behaviour” – which was written by Shungudzo “Alexandra Govere” Kuyimba and Daniel “Danny” Parker alongside the song’s producers Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher of TMS – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

For her first studio collection, Johnson has also worked with producers Tobias “Toby” Gad (Madonna), Matthew “BURNS” Burns (Kacy Hill), Dallas Austin (Ciara), Tre Jean-Marie (Mabel McVey), Arnthor Birgisson (RAYE), Joseph “Joe” Janiak (Britney Spears) and Nicholas “Digital Farm Animals” Gale (Little Mix).

Among the songwriters expected to appear on the album are Diane Warren (Andra Day), Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa), Negin Djafari (Liza Owen), Ina Wroldsen (Leona Lewis), Maureen “MoZella” McDonald (Tinashe), Priscilla Renea (Kelly Clarkson), Marlon Roudette (Sinead Harnett), Jacob “JKash” Kasher (Charlie Pith) and Samuel “Sam” Romans (Jonas Blue).

Toby Gad is a Los Angeles-based German music producer/songwriter, best known for his works with Fergie (“Big Girls Don’t Cry”), Beyonce (“If I Were a Boy”), John Legend (“All of Me”), Demi Lovato (“Skyscraper”), Jessie J (“Who You Are”) and Nicole Scherzinger (“Don’t Hold Your Breath”).

His extensive resume boasts further works with The Veronicas (“Untouched”), Colbie Caillat (“I Do”), Leona Lewis (“Fire Under My Feet”), Hilary Duff (“Chasing the Sun”), Selena Gomez (“Bang Bang Bang”), James Morrison (“Up”), Pixie Lott (“Love You to Death”) and Alex & Sierra (“Little Do You Know”).

Amongst the songwriters Gad has collaborated with are Diane Warren, Sia, Lindy Robbins, Shelly Peiken, Anne Preven, Kara DioGuardi, MoZella, Autumn Rowe, Makeba Riddick, Cristyle Nicole, Ali Tamposi, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Angel Taylor, Livvi Franc, Bridget Kelly, Meleni Smith, Priscilla Renea, Kesha, Samantha Ronson, Rachel Rabin, Jean Baptiste Kouame, James Fauntleroy, Lil Eddie, Ty Dolla $ign, and Jimmy Napes.

Sabi teams up with Dwayne “Dem Jointz” Abernathy for debut album

Sabi has recently collaborated with Dem Jointz for her upcoming debut album, which is scheduled later this year via Warner Music Group / Kemosabe Records.

The R&B hitmaker – real name Dwayne Abernathy – has previously co-wrote and produced tracks including “Birthday Cake” by Rihanna [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings] and “Put it Down” by Brandy featuring Chris Brown [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records].

Meanwhile, other musicians backing Sabi on the still-untitled project are Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald (Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears), Jonas “Jay Jay” Jeberg (Meleni Smith, Livvi Franc), Autumn Rowe (Leona Lewis, Cher Lloyd) and Tobias “Toby” Gad (Natasha Bedingfield, Colbie Caillat).

Jamaican reggae / dancehall artist Sean Paul has teamed up with Tobias “Toby” Gad and Bangladesh for his upcoming as-yet-untitled sixth album, scheduled for release later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Gad has previously produced tracks including “Your Heart is a Muscle” by Carly Rae Jepsen [Universal Music Group / Interscope Records] and “Steal My Breath Away” by Tulisa Contostavlos [Universal Music Group / Island Records].

Meanwhile, recent credits by Bangladesh – real name Shondrae Crawford – include “Hottest Girl in the World” by JLS [Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records] and “Put it Down” by Brandy featuring Chris Brown [Sony Music Entertainment / Chameleon Entertainment / RCA Records].

The new collection by Sean Paul serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Tomahawk Technique.” That release peaked at number two on Billboard’s Top Reggae Albums Chart. It also generated hit singles “Got to Love You,” “She Doesn’t Mind,” “How Deep is Your Love,” “Touch the Sky” and “Body.”
