Darhyl “DJ” Camper teases new collaboration with John Legend

Darhyl “DJ” Camper has teased a new collaboration with John Legend.

“I still remember sending fan mail online in the seventh grade letting you know I play wishing to meet you,” the American record producer and songwriter posted to Instagram on Friday (April 19, 2019).

Camper previously teamed up with Legend on “Open Your Eyes,” “Dreams” and “Angel,” taken from the artist’s fourth album, 2013’s “Love in the Future,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Camper’s resume boasts additional works with Tamar Braxton (“Love & War”), Mary J. Blige (“Thick of It”), Ne-Yo (“Good Man”), Jessie J (“Not My Ex”), Trey Songz (“Pretty Girl’s Lie”), Christina Aguilera (“Masochist”), Mariah Carey (“Dedicated”) and Keyshia Cole (“Trust & Believe”).

Meanwhile, Legend’s current single “Preach” – which was co-written by Sarah Aarons and produced by Greg Kurstin – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

His upcoming seventh studio collection reportedly delivers further contributions from Scott Storch, Cutfather, Warren “Oak” Felder, Stacy Barthe, Dan Wilson, Mr. Hudson, Max Wolfgang, Nasri Atweh, and Twice As Nice.

Raye releases new collaborative project “Side Tape”

British singer/songwriter Rachel Keen, known mononymously as Raye, has released a new collaborative project online.

“Side Tape” – featuring guest appearances from Steel Banglez, Kojo Funds, Ray BLK, Mr. Eazi, Maleek Berry, Nana Rogues, Avelino, Mabel McVey, and Stefflon Don – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The follow-up 2016’s “Second” also boasts productions and songwriting contributions from Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Fraser T. Smith, Justin Tranter, Levi Lennox, Fred Gibson, Charlie Handsome, and Twice As Nice.

As a songwriter, Raye recently co-penned tracks for John Legend (“A Good Night”), Pretty Much (“On My Way”), Madison Beer (“Home with You”), Hailee Steinfeld (“Capital Letters”) and Little Mix (“If I Get My Way”).

Ella Mai delivers new mini-collection “Ready”

Ella Mai has delivered her new EP online.

“Ready” – featuring six new songs in the shape of “Boo’d Up,” “Breakfast in Bed,” “Nobody Else,” “My Way,” “Makes Me Wonder” and “Anymore” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The mini-collection was entirely produced by DJ Mustard, whose credits also include Rihanna’s “Needed Me,” Justine Skye’s “Collide,” Keyshia Cole’s “She,” Trey Songz’s “Na Na,” Jordin Sparks’ “It Ain’t You,” and Tinashe’s “2 On.”

Other EP producers include Larrance “Rance” Dopson (Kendrick Lamar), Twice as Nice (Rita Ora), Willie Tafa (Ariana Grande), James Royo (Britney Spears), J. Proof (Usher) and Ronald “Flip” Colson (K. Michelle).

On the songwriting front, Mai was teamed up with Sam Romans (Sigma, Craig David), Joelle James (Chris Brown, Tamar Braxton), Samuel Jean (Miley Cyrus, Keri Hilson) and Talay Riley (Dua Lipa, Nick Jonas).

Rita Ora releases Fifty Shades Darker track “Kiss Me”

Rita Ora has released her new single.

“Kiss Me” is now available on the Target edition of the original motion picture soundtrack, “Fifty Shades Darker.”

The track was co-written by Herbert “Herbie” Crichlow, whose other credits include Zayn Malik’s “TiO,” Alexandra Burke’s “Gotta Go,” Robyn’s “Do You Know What it Takes,” and Stefanie Heinzmann’s “Diggin’ in the Dirt.”

Production duties on “Kiss Me” were collectively handled by MYKL (Craig David, Ava Lily) and Twice As Nice (Rihanna, Ariana Grande).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Ora’s highly-anticipated sophomore studio collection will arrive later this year via Atlantic Records UK.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts productions from Stargate (Katy Perry), Jake Gosling (Harry Styles), Digital Farm Animals (Liam Payne), Johnny McDaid (James Blunt) and Leon Thomas (Zendaya).

On the songwriting front, Ora has teamed up with EYELAR (Charli XCX), Jason Boyd (K. Michelle), Ed Sheeran (Jessie Ware), Ali Tamposi (Selena Gomez), Brian Lee (Fifth Harmony), Diana Gordon (Beyonce), Chelcee Grimes (Calvin Harris), Jin Jin (Jess Glynne), Andrew Watt (Justin Bieber).

Ella Mai has shared the music video for her new single online.

The British singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “Lay Up” to her Vevo channel on Friday (January 20, 2017).

The track was co-written by Ella Mai alongside Brittany Hazard, whose other credits include Rihanna’s “Needed Me,” Cashmere Cat’s “Trust Nobody,” The Weeknd’s “True Colors,” and DJ Snake’s “The Half.”

Production duties on “Lay Up” were collectively handled by DJ Mustard (Tinashe, Justine Skye) and Nick Audino, Lewis Hughes, and Te Whiti Warbrick of Twice As Nice Productions (Britney Spears, Ariana Grande).

Mai’s debut mini-collection “Change” – featuring previous promotional single “10,000 Hours” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Ariana Grande announces new single “Into You”

Ariana Grande has announced the title for her new single.

The singer-songwriter christened “Into You” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming third album, “Dangerous Woman.”

The track was co-written by Savan Kotecha (Tori Kelly, Justin Bieber), Alexander Kronlund (Tinashe, Fifth Harmony), Ilya Salmanzadeh (Jennifer Lopez, Natalie La Rose) and Max Martin (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake).

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Dangerous Woman” is scheduled for release on May 20 via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The highly anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “My Everything,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Break Free” and “Love Me Harder.”

Other musicians backing Grande on the new album are Johan Carlsson, Ross Golan, Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet, Mr. Franks, Peter Svensson, Twice as Nice, Jacob Kasher, Chloe Angelides, Ali Payami, and Billboard.

Rihanna has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The Barbadian singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “Needed Me” to her Vevo channel on Wednesday (April 21, 2016).

“Needed Me” was produced by DJ Mustard (Tinashe, Keyshia Cole), Twice As Nice (Ariana Grande, Kid Ink) and Frank Dukes (Eminem, Schoolboy Q).

Video treatment was handled by Harmony Korine, whose filmography includes “Kids” (1995), “Ken Park” (2002) and “Spring Breakers” (2013).

Rihanna’s latest album “Anti” – featuring previous singles “Work” and “Kiss it Better” – is now available for download via Westbury Road Entertainment in partnership with Roc Nation Records (US) and Virgin EMI Records (UK).
