Elijah Blake teams with Happy Perez for new song “Drop Dead Beautiful”

Elijah Blake has debuted a new song online.

The singer and songwriter posted the audio clip for “Drop Dead Beautiful” to his Vevo channel on Monday (May 25, 2015).

Production duties on “Drop Dead Beautiful” were handled by Happy Perez, whose other credits include Mariah Carey’s “#Beautiful” f/ Miguel [Def Jam] and Ella Henderson’s “The First Time” [Syco Music].

The track also appears on the Elijah Blake’s upcoming debut album, “Shadows & Diamonds,” out on June 23 via Def Jam Recordings.

Other album collaborators include Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran), Lyrica Anderson (Beyonce, Christina Milian), Tiyon “TC” Mack (Brandy, Tamar Braxton) and Christopher “C4” Umana (Trey Songz, Kelly Rowland).

On the songwriting front, Blake – real name Sean Fenton – has contributed to the next projects by Rihanna [Roc Nation Records], Gabi Wilson [RCA Records] and Jordin Sparks [Larger Than Life Records].

Years & Years enlist Greg Kurstin for new single “Shine”

Years & Years have shared their new single online.

The British band – consisting of members Olly Alexander (frontman), Mikey Goldsworthy (bassist) and Emre Turkmen (synth player) – posted the audio clip for “Shine” to their Vevo channel on Monday (May 11, 2015).

“Shine” – available for download from July 5 via iTunes (UK) – was co-written by Greg Kurstin, whose other credits include Sia’s “Chandelier” [RCA], Charli XCX’s “Famous” [Atlantic] and Lana Del Rey’s “Money Power Glory” [Interscope].

The track is lifted from the band’s upcoming debut album, “Communion,” which will hit stores and digital outlets on July 10 under Polydor Records.

Among the musicians backing Years & Years on the keenly-awaited project are TMS (Ella Eyre, Sinead Harnett), Kid Harpoon (Jessie Ware, Florence Welch) and Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Ryn Weaver).

Ella Eyre schedules release date for debut album “Feline”

Ella Eyre has scheduled the release date for her upcoming debut album.

The British singer/songwriter – born Ella McMahon – will release “Feline” on August 14 under Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records.

Current single “Together” was produced by Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola of Future Cut, who are also responsible for Lily Allen’s “Smile” [Parlophone], Little Mix’s “How Ya Doin?” [Syco] and Stooshe’s “Black Heart” [Warner Bros].

The keenly-awaited CD also includes previous singles “Deeper” (produced by Two Inch Punch), “If I Go” (co-written by Natalia Hajjara), “Comeback” (produced by Ilya KnocDown) and “Gravity” (co-written by The Invisible Men).

Other album contributors are Starsmith (Cheryl, Ellie Goulding), Jonny Lattimer (Kwabs, Rebecca Ferguson), Mark Taylor (Cher, Kylie Minogue), Paul O’Duffy (Gabrielle, Andreya Triana) and Chris Loco (Emeli Sande, Rita Ora).

Miguel announces new album “Wildheart”

Miguel has announced the title for his new album.

The singer/songwriter christened his third studio collection “Wildheart” and will release it later this year under Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Lead single “Coffee (Fucking)” – featuring Wale – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

“Wildheart” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Kaleidoscope Dream,” which peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Adorn,” “Do You…” and “How Many Drinks?”

On the songwriting front, Miguel recently co-wrote “You & I (Forever)” and “Kind Of … Sometimes … Maybe” for British songstress Jessie Ware along with hit record producers Benny Blanco and Two Inch Punch.

Among the musicians backing Miguel on “Wildheart” are Happy Perez (Mariah Carey, Frank Ocean), Naughty Boy (Rihanna, Emeli Sande), Benny Cassette (Kanye West, Elle Varner) and Jason Evigan (Madonna, David Guetta).

Sinead Harnett has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “She Ain’t Me” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (April 28, 2015).

“She Ain’t Me” was co-written by Iain James, whose other credits include Craig David’s “Officially Yours” [Asylum Records], Olly Murs’ “Hand on Heart” [Epic Records] and Leona Lewis’ “One More Sleep” [Syco Music].

Production duties were handled by TMS, who are also responsible for Little Mix’s “Wings” [Syco Music], Sigma’s “Changing” f/ Paloma Faith [3 Beat Records] and The Vamps’ “Last Night” [Virgin EMI Records].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Harnett’s debut album is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Virgin EMI Records.

The still-untitled project and follow-up to 2014’s EP “N.O.W.” features additional productions and songwriting contributions from Chris Loco, James Fauntleroy, Two Inch Punch, Knox Brown, and Mojam.

Elijah Blake has announced the details for his debut album.

The singer/songwriter christened his first studio collection “Shadows & Diamonds” and will release it on June 23 under Def Jam Recordings.

Lead single “I Just Wanna” – which was written by Blake along with Andrew Swanson, Colby Zinser, Lyrica Anderson, Floyd Bentley and Anthony William – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

“Shadows & Diamonds” serves as the follow-up to 2014’s EP “Drift,” which featured singles “6,” “Fallen” and “Strange Fruit.” That collection also boasted collaborations with James Poyser, Tiago Carvalho, and No I.D.

For the new album, Blake – real name Sean Fenton – has reportedly teamed with Happy Perez (Mariah Carey, Frank Ocean), Two Inch Punch (Jessie Ware, Sam Smith) and Chris Loco (Sinead Harnett, Ella Eyre).

Ava Lily has collaborated with MNEK on new music.

“Today’s session was fun! Thank you @MNEK,” the British singer/songwriter and pianist posted to her Twitter profile on Thursday (April 23, 2015).

MNEK is known for co-writing and producing Karen Harding’s “Say Something” [Capitol Records], Becky Hill’s “Losing” [Parlophone Records], Tanika’s “Bad 4 U” [Virgin EMI Records] and Misha B’s “Homerun” [Relentless Records].

He also contributed to the next projects by Moko [Virgin EMI], Little Mix [Columbia], Tamera Foster [Syco Music], Rudimental [Asylum], Melissa Steel [Atlantic] and Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor].

Meanwhile, Lily is expected to release her debut project later this year under Naughty Records in partnership with Virgin EMI Records.

The still-untitled collection will feature songwriting contributions and productions from Naughty Boy, Two Inch Punch, Josh Record, Iain James, Jim Eliot, and Mojam (Mustafa Omer, James Murray).

The British singer/songwriter posted the official audio clip for “She Ain’t Me” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (April 16, 2015).

“She Ain’t Me” – available for download from June 7th via iTunes (UK) – was co-written by Iain James (Leona Lewis, Tamera Foster) and produced by TMS: Thomas Barnes, Peter Kelleher & Ben Kohn (Ella Eyre, Becky Hill).

The track marks the first promotional cut from Harnett’s upcoming debut album, which will be released later this year under Virgin EMI Records.

Other songs slotted for inclusion on the still-untitled project and follow-up to 2014’s EP “N.O.W.” are “I’ll Remain” and “Do It Anyway.”

Harnett’s first EP “N.O.W.” – featuring hit singles “No Other Way,” “High Wire” and “Paradise” – is now available for download via iTunes.
