Bishop Briggs premieres music video for new single “Champion”

Bishop Briggs has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter (born Sarah McLaughlin) posted the visual clip for “Champion” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (July 16, 2019).

The track was co-written by Kristine Flaherty (aka K.Flay) alongside Joel Little, whose other credits include Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down,” James Bay’s “Peer Pressure,” Marina’s “Handmade Heaven,” Jarryd James’ “Slow Motion,” Amy Shark’s “Never Coming Back,” and Lorde’s “Green Light.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Briggs’ upcoming sophomore album – featuring further contributions from Jimmy Napes, Wayne Hector, and Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett – is expected to arrive later this year via Island Records.

Banks releases new studio collection “III”

American singer/songwriter Jillian Banks, known mononymously as Banks, has delivered her new studio collection online.

“III” – featuring promotional singles “Gimme,” “Look What You’re Doing to Me” and “Contaminated” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project boasts contributions from Tim Anderson, Hudson Mohawke, Kito, BJ Burton, Paul Epworth, Sohn, Trey Campbell, Kevin Garrett, Alejandro Chal, Miguel, Aaron Forbes, Simon Christensen, and Tala.

Yuna liberates new album “Rouge”

Malaysian singer/songwriter Yunalis Zarai, known mononymously as Yuna, has liberated her new studio collection online.

“Rouge” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Chapters” features guest appearances from Tyler, The Creator (“Castaway”), G-Eazy (“Blank Marquee”), Masego (“Amy”), Little Simz (“Pink Youth”), Kyle (“Likes”) and Jay Park (“Does She”).

On the songwriting and production front, Yuna has worked with Robin Hannibal, Shungudzo, J. LBS, Chloe Angelides, Sam Farrar, Michelle Buzz, Cardiak, Joel Van Dijk, and Fisticuffs.

Kelly Rowland taps Nasri Atweh, Jeff Gitty for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Kelendria Trene Rowland, known professionally as Kelly Rowland, has tapped Nasri Atweh and Jeff Gitty for a new collaboration.

Nasri’s songwriting resume boasts works with Justin Bieber (“As Long As You Love Me”), Halsey (“Not Afraid Anymore”), Chris Brown (“Don’t Judge Me”), Bebe Rexha (“I Don’t Wanna Grow Up”), Tinashe (“Flame”), Sabrina Claudio (“Don’t Let Me Down”) and Chloe x Halle (“Happy Without Me”).

Meanwhile, Gitty is responsible for producing Amer Mark’s “What If,” Camila Cabello’s “All These Years,” Nao’s “Drive and Disconnect,” Jacob Banks’ “Photograph,” Kirby Lauryen’s “Vain,” H.E.R.’s “As I Am,” Trey Songz’s “She Lovin’ It,” Kali Uchis’ “Gotta Get Up,” and Tommy Genesis’ “Lucky.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Rowland is expected to release the follow-up to 2013’s “Talk a Good Game” later this year via Island Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional contributions from Da Internz, Mick Schultz, J. Que, The Stereotypes, Bianca “Blush” Atterberry, Darhyl Camper, Prince Charlez, Ray BLK, Nana Rogues, Black Coffee, Raye, Mike Sabath, Sounwave, Eric Hudson, and The Rascals.

Rowland’s current single “Crown” – which was co-written by Colby O’Donis, Varren Wade, Harmony “H-Money” Samuels, and Edgar “Johnny Velvet” Etienne – is now available via all other digital streaming outlets.

Sam Smith confirms details for new single “How Do You Sleep?”

Sam Smith has confirmed the details for his new single.

The British singer/songwriter (born Samuel Frederick Smith) christened “How Do You Sleep?” as his next promotional cut and will release it on July 19 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was written by Sam Smith alongside Swedish hitmakers Savan Kotecha (Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly), Ilya Salmanzadeh (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez) and Max Martin (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Smith’s upcoming third album – featuring the Normani-assisted single “Dancing With A Stranger” – is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

Besides confirmed collaborators Jimmy Napes and Stargate, the follow-up to 2017’s “The Thrill Of It All” reportedly yields additional contributions from Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora), Kamille (Mabel, Ella Henderson), Two Inch Punch (Mae Muller, Ella Eyre) and Amy Allen (Halsey, Selena Gomez).

British singer/songwriter Sarah McLaughlin, known by her stage name Bishop Briggs, has teamed up with Wayne Hector for a new collaboration.

Hector’s recent songwriting credits include Mahalia’s “Simmer,” Rita Ora’s “Ritual,” Maren Morris’ “Kingdom of One,” Prettymuch’s “Healthy,” Josh Groban’s “Won’t Look Back,” and Leon Bridges’ “Bad Bad News.”

Hector also worked with producers including Soulshock & Karlin, Cutfather, Steve Mac, Julian Bunetta, Greg Kurstin, Arnthor Birgisson, Lucas Secon, Richard Stannard, Felix Joseph, Jonah Christian, and Future Cut.

Meanwhile, Briggs’ upcoming sophomore album – featuring further contributions from Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Jimmy Napes – is expected to arrive later this year via Teleport Records / Island Records.

Her debut studio collection “Church of Scars” – featuring singles “Wild Horses,” “River,” “Hi-Lo (Hollow),” “Dream” and “White Flag” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Yuna has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Pink Youth” – featuring Little Simz – was posted to the Malaysian singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Monday (August 1st, 2019).

The track was co-written by Chloe Angelides, whose other credits include Demi Lovato’s “Ruin the Friendship,” Selena Gomez’s “Fetish,” Era Istrefi’s “No I Love Yous,” Tinashe’s “Player,” and Nicki Minaj’s “Get On Your Knees.”

Production duties on “Pink Youth” were handled by Robin Hannibal, who is also responsible for Niia’s “Nobody,” Jacob Banks’ “Unknown (To You),” Erik Hassle’s “No Words,” and DNCE’s “TV in the Morning.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Yuna’s upcoming fourth international studio album “Rouge” – featuring previous singles “Forevermore” and “Blank Marquee” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Verve Records.

The highly-anticipated project yields additional productions and songwriting contributions from Fisticuffs (Miguel, Jhene Aiko), Alexandra “Shungudzo” Govere (Ella Henderson, Louisa Johnson), Michelle Buzz (Dagny, Katy Perry) and Jason “J. LBS” Pounds (Anderson Paak, Jorja Smith).
