Sam Smith hits the studio with Kamille, Steve Mac for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Sam Smith has teamed up with fellow recording artist Kamille and music producer Steve Mac for a new collaboration.

Kamille and Steve Mac have collectively helmed singles for Ella Henderson (“Glow”), Mabel (“Don’t Call Me Up”) and Little Mix (“Love Me Like You”).

Besides working on her upcoming project under Virgin EMI, Kamille has also contributed to the next releases by Tiesto, Lianne La Havas, Dan Caplen, Ellie Goulding, John Newman, Dua Lipa, Mullally, Nick Jonas, Ray BLK, Stormzy, Liam Tomlinson, and Years & Years.

Meanwhile, Mac’s extensive resume boasts additional works with Ed Sheeran (“Shape of You”), Anne-Marie (“Alarm”), Craig David (“Brand New”), Jess Glynne (“Thursday”), Nick Jonas (“Right Now”) and Rita Ora (“Your Song”).

Smith’s current promotional single “Dancing With a Stranger” (featuring Normani) – which was produced by regular collaborators Jimmy Napes alongside Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

His forthcoming third studio collection and follow-up to 2017’s “The Thrill of It All,” which topped both the US and UK albums chart, is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

Bishop Briggs drafts Jin Jin, Jimmy Napes for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Sarah McLaughlin, known by her stage name Bishop Briggs, has drafted Jin Jin and Jimmy Napes for a new collaboration.

Jin Jin’s songwriting resume boasts works with Jess Glynne (“No One”), Rita Ora (“Proud”), Jax Jones (“You Don’t Know Me”), Yebba Smith (“Evergreen”), Raye (“Decline”), Little Mix (“Grown”), Nina Nesbitt (“Love Letter”), Paloma Faith (“Lullaby”) and Sabrina Carpenter (“Alien”).

Meanwhile, Napes is responsible for co-writing and producing Tori Kelly’s “Change Your Mind,” Sam Smith’s “Dancing with a Stranger,” Alicia Keys’s “Hallelujah,” Mary J. Blige’s “When You’re Gone,” Lianne La Havas’s “Wonderful,” Jessie Ware’s “Pieces,” and Ray BLK’s “Doing Me.”

Briggs’ upcoming project is expected to arrive later this year via Teleport Records in partnership with Universal Music Group / Island Records.

Her debut album “Church of Scars” – featuring singles “Wild Horses,” “River,” “Hi-Lo (Hollow),” “Dream” and “White Flag” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Ellie Goulding delivers new promotional single “Flux”

Ellie Goulding has delivered her new promotional single online.

“Flux” – which was written by Goulding alongside regular collaborator Jim Eliot and Joe Kearns – is now available via all other digital streaming outlets.

Goulding’s upcoming fourth album – featuring previous single “Close to Me” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Polydor Records.

On the follow-up to 2015’s “Delirium,” Goulding has also worked with Steve Mac, Kamille, Jason Evigan, MoZella, Starsmith, Jamie Hartman, Ilsey Juber, Nate Campany, Justin Tranter, and Noel Zancanella.

American-German singer/songwriter Arlissa Ruppert, known mononymously as Arlissa, has released the acoustic version of her new single online.

“Let This Go” – which was written by Arlissa alongside Sam Fisher, Jamal “Digi” Chammas, Jonathan Hoskins, and Justin Scott Lucas – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Arlissa’s upcoming project is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.

The British record producer and songwriter (born Shahid Khan) has previously worked with Emeli Sande (“Heaven”), Leona Lewis (“Trouble”), Rihanna (“Half of Me”), Mary J. Blige (“Pick Me Up”), Marlon Roudette (“Anti Hero”), Tanika Bailey (“Runaway”) and Cheryl Cole (“Craziest Things”).

The Grammy award-winning record producer and songwriter (born James Ho) has previously worked with Sam Smith (“Midnight Train”), Frank Ocean (“Nikes”), Zayn Malik (“It’s You”), Alessia Cara (“Wild Things”), Tori Kelly (“Talk”), Alicia Keys (“One Thing”) and John Legend (“Green Light”).

Fans of Malay’s songwriting and production works should also keep an eye on the next releases by Jazmine Sullivan, Zhavia Ward, Fletcher, Lennon Stella, Kai, Ingrid Andress, and RuthAnne.

Meanwhile, Arlissa’s current single “We Won’t Move” – which was co-written by Jessica “Harloe” Karpov and produced by Kevin White and Mike Woods of Rice N Peas – appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “The Hate U Give.”

Kozmeniuk is responsible for helming Dua Lipa’s “IDGAF,” Lykke Li’s “Deep End,” Grace Carter’s “Heal Me,” Jennifer Hudson’s “Dangerous,” Lights’ “Kicks,” Nicki Minaj’s “Up in Flames,” and Madonna’s “Gang Bang.”

Meanwhile, Ball’s resume boasts works with Rihanna (“Love on the Brain”), Mariah Carey (“One Mo ‘Gen”), Toni Braxton (“Deadwood”), Anne-Marie (“Some People”), Roses Gabor (“Turkish Delight”), Justine Skye (“Heaven”), Zara Larsson (“One Mississipi”) and Jessie Ware (“Slow Me Down”).
