Eric Hudson has teased a new collaboration with H.E.R.

“Me and @hermusicofficial made a classic tonight! I brought my bass with me …#backtowork #shesagenius #classicsonly,” the American record producer and songwriter posted to Instagram on Friday (July 19, 2019).

Hudson’s resume boasts works with Mariah Carey (“Infinity”), John Legend (“We Just Don’t Care”), Omarion (“Entourage”), Whitney Houston (“Worth It”), Trey Songz (“Without a Woman”), Brandy (“Bring it Back”), Justin Timberlake (“Morning Light”), Mary J. Blige (“Why”) and August Alsina (“Benediction”).

Meanwhile, H.E.R.’s upcoming project – featuring current promotional single “Racks” (which was co-written by fellow recording artist Tiara Thomas and collectively produced by Jeff Gitty, Ronald “Flippa” Colson and Ali P) – is expected to arrive later this year via RCA Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers further contributions from Andre Harris, Prgrshn, LunchMoney Lewis, MNEK, Darhyl “DJ” Camper, Priscilla Renea, Stint, Hue Strother, D’Mile, Varren Wade, Ambre, Trey Campbell, Bryan Michael Cox, Stacy Barthe, Neff-U, Supa Dups, and The Stereotypes.

H.E.R. also provided guest vocals on the track “I Don’t Want Your Money,” taken from the Ed Sheeran’s latest studio collection, “No. 6 Collaborations Project,” which is out now via Atlantic Records. The track was written by Sheeran alongside Joe Reeves, Fred Gibson, and Paul “Nineteen85” Jefferies.

Paloma Faith reunites with Diane Warren for new collaboration

Paloma Faith has reunited with Diane Warren for a new collaboration.

Warren previously teamed up with Faith on “Only Love Can Hurt Like This,” taken from the artist’s third album, “A Beautiful Contradiction.” Produced by AC Burrell, the track peaked to number six on the UK Singles Chart.

Warren’s extensive resume boasts additional works with DeBarge (“Rhythm of the Night”), Toni Braxton (“Unbreak My Heart”), Joss Stone (“Bruised But Not Broken”), Jennifer Hudson (“I’ll Fight”), Lady Gaga (“Why Did You Do That?”) and Celine Dion (“Love Can Move Mountains”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Faith’s upcoming fifth studio collection – which serves as follow-up to 2017’s “The Architect” – is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment UK.

The still-untitled project reportedly features additional contributions from Grades, Dave Okumu, MNEK, Tre Jean-Marie, Starsmith, Cleo Tighe, Stephan Moccio, Clarence Coffee Jr., RuthAnne, George Moore, and Mojam.

H.E.R. shares new promotional single “Racks”

American singer/songwriter Gabi Wilson, known professionally as H.E.R., has shared her new promotional single online.

“Racks” – featuring YBN Cordae – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Tiara Thomas and collectively produced by Jeff Gitty (Brandy, Lianne La Havas), Ronald “Flippa” Colson (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj) and Ali P (Kehlani, Jason Derulo).

As mentioned in earlier, H.E.R.’s upcoming project is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Kelis enlists MNEK, LOXE for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Kelis Rogers, known mononymously as Kelis, has enlisted MNEK and LOXE for a new collaboration.

Born Uzoechi Emenike, MNEK is known for co-writing/producing Christina Aguilera’s “Deserve,” Jojo’s “Good Thing,” Alex Newell’s “Basically Over You,” Karen Harding’s “Say Something,” Craig David’s “Change My Love,” Little Mix’s “Touch,” Zara Larsson’s “Ain’t My Fault,” and Dua Lipa’s “IDGAF.”

Meanwhile, LOXE (born Rowan Perkins) had previously co-written and produced songs for Nao (“Love Supreme”), Jaz Karis (“Doubt My Love”), Chelou (“Out of Sight”), Tsar B (“Brazil”), Ariel (“We Bring Our Friends”), Jvck James (“Fears”), Vanessa Elisha (“Butter”) and MAAD (“Y.O.U”).

Kelis’s most recent studio collection, 2014’s “Food,” debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned two singles in the shape of “Jerk Ribs” and “Rumble.”

She also provided guest vocals on the track “Back and Forth,” taken from Italian DJ Giorgio Moroder’s fourteenth album, “Deja Vu,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Hamzaa confirms new promotional single “London”

Hamzaa has confirmed the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “London” as her next promotional cut and will release it on May 23rd via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written and produced by Ollie Green with additional production from Knox Brown, who is also responsible for Mary J. Blige’s “Whole Damn Year,” Jess Glynne’s “Gave Me Something,” Raye’s “Ambition,” H.E.R.’s “Let Me In,” Paloma Faith’s “My Body,” and Jacob Banks’ “Homecoming.”

Hamzaa’s next project – featuring further contributions from Emile Haynie, Laconic, Aston Rudi, Pantha, Fred Cox, TMS, Iain James, Tre Jean-Marie, and MNEK – is expected to arrive later this year via Parlophone Records.

Sabina Ddumba liberates new promotional single “Blow My Mind”

Sabina Ddumba has liberated her new promotional single online.

“Blow My Mind” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike, whose other credits include Becky Hill’s “I Could Get Used to This,” Kate Stewart’s “Be Without You,” Karen Harding’s “Say Something,” Christina Aguilera’s “Deserve,” Julia Michaels’ “Heaven,” and Kara Marni’s “Love Just Ain’t Enough.”

Production duties on “Blow My Mind” were handled by Peter Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn and Thomas Barnes of TMS, who are also responsible for Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved,” Kamille’s “Emotional,” Louisa Johnson’s “Best Behaviour,” and Craig David’s “Change My Love.”

Ddumba’s upcoming sophomore album – featuring previous promotional single “Small World” (which was co-written by Ali Tennant and produced by Michael Angelo) – is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Music Sweden.

Bananarama record MKS song for new album “In Stereo”

British female pop duo Bananarama – composed of Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward – have a recorded a song originally performed by MKS for their eleventh album, “In Stereo,” which will arrive on April 19 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

“Love in Stereo” was written by MKS members Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy alongside Hannah Robinson and Richard X, who are also responsible for Rachel Stevens’ “Some Girls,” Sophie Ellis Bextor’s “Starlight,” and Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Beat the Feeling.”

Originally formed in 1998 as Sugababes, MKS have released their last single “Flatline” (which was co-written and produced by Blood Orange’s Devonte Hynes) in 2013 via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

Their highly-anticipated album featured further contributions from Richard “Biff” Stannard (“Beat is Gone”), Shaznay Lewis (“Boys”), Tom Aspaul (“Burnt Out”), MNEK (“Drum”), Iain James (“Love Me Hard”), Sia (“Surrender”), Eliot James (“Summer of 99”) and Mojam (“Too in Love”).
