Kara Marni teams up with Craig David for new collaboration

Kara Marni has teamed up with Craig David for a new collaboration.

The British singer/songwriter’s current single “Do You Miss Me Much” – which was co-written by regular collaborators Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Fraser T. Smith – is now available via all other digital streaming outlets.

His upcoming eighth studio album – featuring lead single “When You Know What Love Is” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment UK / Insanity Records.

Meanwhile, Marni is currently working on her upcoming third project under Access Records, which serves as the follow-up to 2018’s “Love Just Ain’t Enough” and 2019’s “No Logic.”

The still-untitled collection reportedly features productions from Invisible Men, Cadenza, Phil Cook, Mojam, Che Pope, Grades, Loxe, Mike Woods, Goldfingers, Jay Mooncie, Mnek, and Sons of Sonix.

On the songwriting front, Marni has worked with Dayyon Alexander, Sam Harper, Autumn Rowe, Nadine Samuels, Carmen Reece, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Philip Plested, and Chiara Hunter.

Sugababes enlist MNEK, KABBA for new collaboration

British girl group Sugababes (composed of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy) have enlisted MNEK and KABBA for a new collaboration.

Besides co-writing Neon Jungle’s “Future X Girl” and Ryan Ashley’s “Familiar,” Kabba’s latest promotional single “My Work is Done” is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

Meanwhile, MNEK previously teamed up with the Sugababes on “Drum,” which was intended for their shelved comeback album under Polydor Records. MNEK has also contributed to the next projects by Dua Lipa, Zara Larsson, Kara Marni, Hamzaa, Lennon Stella, Ella Eyre, Samantha Mumba, and H.E.R.

Sugababes are expected to release new music later this year to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut studio album, “One Touch,” which spawned singles “Overload,” “Run for Cover,” “New Year” and “Soul Sound.”

The trio recently covered UK garage duo Sweet Female Attitude’s 2000 hit single “Flowers” for DJ Spoony’s compilation album, “Garage Classics,” which peaked to number forty-eight on the UK Albums Chart.

Kara Marni reunites with MNEK for new collaboration

Kara Marni has reunited with MNEK for a new collaboration.

MNEK previously co-wrote “Love Just Ain’t Enough” for Marni alongside Sebastian Kole and Invisible Men (aka George Astasio, Jason Pebworth and Jonathan Shave). The track appears on Marni’s debut mini-album of the same name, which was released in 2018 via Access Records.

MNEK’s songwriting and production resume boasts additional works with Beyonce (“Hold Up”), Christina Aguilera (“Deserve”), Jojo (“Good Thing”), Karen Harding (“Say Something”), Craig David (“Change My Love”), Zara Larsson (“Ain’t My Fault”), Dua Lipa (“IDGAF”) and Little Mix (“Touch”).

Meanwhile, Marni’s most recent EP “No Logic” – featuring 7 songs in the shape of “Lose My Love,” “Opposite,” “Caught Up,” “All Night, Pt. I,” “No Logic,” “Lay Your Blame,” and “All Night, Pt. II” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her upcoming project reportedly boasts additional contributions from Cadenza, Nadine Samuels, Loxe, Carmen Reece, Mike Woods, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Che Pope, Jay Mooncie, Autumn Rowe, Dayyon Alexander, Chiara Hunter, and Sons of Sonix.

Mabel announces details for new single “Loneliest Time of Year”

British singer/songwriter Mabel McVey, known mononymously as Mabel, has dubbed “Loneliest Time of Year” as her first Christmas single and will release it on November 22 via Apple Music and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Kamille “Kamille” Purcell (Sam Smith, Lianne La Havas), Nayla “Sillkey” Nyassa (Ray BLK, Jaz Karis), Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike (Kelis, Christina Aguilera) and Tre Jean-Marie (Ella Eyre, Paloma Faith).

Mabel’s debut studio album, “High Expectations,” was released in August this year via Polydor Records. The collection peaked to number three on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles “Don’t Call Me Up” and “Mad Love.”

Paloma Faith enlists Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Fred Ball for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Paloma Faith has enlisted Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Fred Ball for a new collaboration.

The songwriting and production duo recently helmed Raye’s last single “Love Me Again,” which peaked to number fifty-five on the UK Singles Chart.

Jin Jin’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Craig David (“Do You Miss Me Much”), Sigala (“We Got Love”), Jess Glynne (“All I Am”), Jax Jones (“You Don’t Know Me”), Yebba Smith (“Evergreen”), Little Mix (“Grown”), Rita Ora (“Proud”), Don Diablo (“Brave”) and Jonas Blue (“Alien”).

Meanwhile, Fred Ball’s production credits include Toni Braxton’s “Please,” Mariah Carey’s “One Mo ‘Gen,” Harloe’s “Rivers Run Dry,” Justine Skye’s “Heaven,” Maeta’s “Babygirl,” Zara Larsson’s “One Mississippi,” Roses Gabor’s “Turkish Delight,” and Jessie Ware’s “Slow Me Down.”

Mabel reunites with Kamille for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Mabel McVey, known mononymously as Mabel, has reunited with fellow recording artist Kamille for a new collaboration.

Kamille previously co-wrote hit singles “Don’t Call Me Up” and “Mad Love,” taken from Mabel’s debut album, “High Expectations.” The Steve Mac-produced tracks peaked to numbers 3 and 8 on the UK Singles Chart, respectively.

Fans of Kamille’s songwriting works should also keep an eye on the next releases by Little Mix, Sam Smith, Louis Tomlinson, David Guetta, Ellie Goulding, Mullally, Liam Payne, Dua Lipa, Zara Larsson, Rihanna, and Lianne La Havas.

Meanwhile, Mabel’s upcoming project under Polydor Records reportedly features further contributions from Tre Jean-Marie (Craig David, Jacob Banks) and MNEK (Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue).

Kamille’s new single “Santa x4” – which was co-produced by Frank Nobel and Linus Nordstrom of Goldfingers and features RCA recording group Next Town Down – is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

British singer/songwriter Dua Lipa has drafted Jocelyn “Jozzy” Donald and Leland “Metro Boomin” Wayne for a new collaboration.

Jozzy is known for co-writing Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” Monica’s “Just Right for Me,” Little Mix’s “Bounce Back,” usher’s “Birthday,” Dinah Jane’s “Pass Me By,” Fergie’s “M.I.L.F,” Chris Brown’s “Discover,” and Tinashe’s “Ooh La La.”

Meanwhile, Metro Boomin’s production resume boasts works with Nicki Minaj (“Chun Swae”), 21 Savage (“No Heart”), Solange (“Stay Flo”), Gucci Mane (“Droptopwop”), A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (“Get to You”) and Lana Del Rey (“God Bless America – And All The Beautiful Women In It”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dua Lipa is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album early next year via Warner Bros. Records.
