Ariana Grande schedules release date for new single “Focus”

Ariana Grande has scheduled the release date for her new single.

“Focus” – originally entitled “Focus on Me” – is slated to hit stores and digital outlets on October 30 through Republic Records.

The track was written by Grande along with regular collaborators Savan Kotecha (Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber), Peter Svensson (Carly Rae Jepsen, The Weeknd) and Ilya “KnocDown” Salmanzadeh (Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly).

As mentioned in earlier posts, the “Problem” star’s third studio collection and follow-up to 2014’s “My Everything” will be available later this year.

The keenly-awaited LP reportedly includes further alliances with Tommy Brown (Chris Brown, Jhene Aiko), Victoria Monet (Fifth Harmony, Jordin Sparks), Jim Jonsin (Usher, Kelly Rowland) and Jenna Andrews (Tamia, Elle Varner).

Jordin Sparks has released her third album.

“Right Here, Right Now” – featuring singles “It Ain’t You,” “Double Tap” and “They Don’t Give” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment’s newly-launched imprint Louder Than Life Records.

The project was executively produced by Salaam Remi, whose other credits include Leona Lewis (“Forgiveness”), Ella Henderson (“Hard Work”), Jazmine Sullivan (“Dumb”) and Mack Wilds (“Own It”).

Other album producers include Dem Jointz (Rihanna, Dr. Dre), Key Wane (Beyonce, Jhene Aiko), DJ Mustard (Tinashe, Keyshia Cole), Jonas Jeberg (Cassie, Jason Derulo), Crada (Drake, Marlon Roudette), D’Mile (Ciara, Mali Music) and The Underdogs (Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Hudson).

On the songwriting front, Sparks has teamed with Babyface (Tamia, Katharine McPhee), Meleni Smith (Selena Gomez, Alicia Keys), James Fauntleroy (Usher, Chris Brown), Victoria Monet (Nas, Fifth Harmony), Nikki Flores (Jojo, Christina Aguilera) and Marlon “Hookman” Bonds (Zendaya, Jason Derulo).

Jordin Sparks unveils music video for new single “They Don’t Give”

Jordin Sparks has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “They Don’t Give” to her Vevo channel on Monday (August 10, 2015).

“They Don’t Give” was co-written by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, whose recent credits include Tamar Braxton (“Where it Hurts”), Colbie Caillat (“Try”), Celine Dion (“Always Be Your Girl”) and Samantha Jade (“Shake That”).

Production duties were handled by Salaam Remi, who is also responsible for Ella Henderson’s “Hard Work” [Syco Music], Mack Wilds’ “My Crib” [Larger Than Life Records] and Miguel’s “Face the Sun” f/ Lenny Kravitz [RCA Records].

Sparks’ third studio collection “Right Here, Right Now” – featuring previous singles “Work from Home,” “100 Years,” “Double Tap” and “It Ain’t You” – will be released on August 21 through Louder Than Life Records.

The follow-up to 2009’s “Battlefield” boasts further contributions from Meleni Smith (Beyonce, Alicia Keys), Victoria Monet (Nas, Fifth Harmony), Elijah Blake (Ciara, Keyshia Cole) and James Fauntleroy (Cassie, Jhene Aiko).

Rita Ora recruits Jess Glynne for sophomore album

Jess Glynne has written songs for Rita Ora’s upcoming sophomore album.

The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter previously co-wrote M.O’s “For a Minute” [Operator Records] and provided guest vocals on Clean Bandit’s “Real Love” [Atlantic Records] and Route 94’s “My Love” [Virgin EMI Records].

Her current single “Hold My Hand” – which was co-written by Glynne along with Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Ina Wroldsen and produced by Clean Bandit’s Jack Patterson and Starsmith – is now available for download via iTunes.

Meanwhile, Ora’s highly-anticipated sophomore album will hit stores and digital outlets later this year via Roc Nation and Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “ORA,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned four singles in the shape of “R.I.P,” “How We Do (Party),” “Shine Ya Light” and “Radioactive.”

Other songwriters backing Ora on the new CD are Priscilla Renea (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Camille Purcell (Ella Henderson, Leona Lewis) and Victoria Monet (Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony).

Jordin Sparks has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for the 2 Chainz-assisted “Double Tap” to her official Vevo channel on Wednesday (March 11, 2015).

“Double Tap” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Victoria Monet (Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande), Thomas Lumpkins (Britney Spears, Janet Jackson) and Jonas Jeberg (Nicole Scherzinger, Pixie Lott).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Sparks’ third studio album “Right Here, Right Now” will hit stores later this year via Larger Than Life Records.

The follow-up to 2009’s “Battlefield” is executive-produced by Salaam Remi, who also worked with Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records], Leona Lewis [Island Records] and Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records].

Chris Brown has released a new music video online.

“Don’t Be Gone Too Long” – which features Ariana Grande – is taken from the R&B singer/songwriter’s upcoming sixth album, “X,” out on September 16 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track was written by Chris Brown along with Cathy Dennis, Jean Baptiste Kouame, Michael McHenry, Ryan “DJ Replay” Buendia, Kyle Edwards, Scott “BabyDaddy” Hoffman, and Clarence Coffee Jr.

“X” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Fortune,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Don’t Judge Me” and “Turn Up the Music” and “Don’t Wake Me Up.”

The highly-anticipated LP boasts further contributions from RoccStar, Danja, Count Justice, Sevyn Streeter, Diplo, Verse Simmonds, Darhyl Camper, Eric Bellinger, Tommy Brown, Lauren Christy, and Victoria Monet.

Ariana Grande has unwrapped the official tracklisting for her sophomore album.

The pop singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “My Everything” on August 25 via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

Lead single “Problem” – written by Savan Kotecha along with Max Martin and Ilya “Knocdown” Salmanzadeh – is now available for download via iTunes.

The singer/songwriter christened “Problem” as the first promotional single from her upcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album.

As previously reported, the follow-up to 2013’s “Yours Truly” will be released later this year via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

Among the producers confirmed for the project are Ryan Tedder (Adele, Ella Henderson), Benny Blanco (Pia Mia, Katy Perry), Harmony Samuels (Teyana Taylor, LeToya Luckett) and Tommy Brown (CeeLo Green, Amber Riley).

On the songwriting front, the “Right There” star teamed up with Max Martin (Bonnie McKee, Avril Lavigne), Victoria Monet (Chrisette Michele, Eric Bellinger) and Al Sherrod Lambert (Fantasia Barrino, Jamie Foxx).

Eric Bellinger has confirmed the title of his new single.

The R&B singer/songwriter dubbed “Liquid Courage” – which features Victoria Monet – as the next promotional single from his latest project, “The Rebirth,” now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

The track was produced by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile, whose recent credits include Celine Dion’s “Unfinished Songs” [Columbia Records], Ciara’s “Livin’ It Up” [Epic Records] and Candice Glover’s “Thank You” [Interscope Records].

The “I Don’t Want Her” star has recently signed a new deal Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment – which is a subsidiary of Warner Music Group – to release, market and promote his debut solo album, “The Rebirth.”

Fans of Bellinger’s songwriting should keep an eye on the next projects by Jasmine Villegas [Interscope Records], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records] and Usher [RCA Records].

Amber Riley has unveiled a new song online.

The singer/songwriter posted “Leave a Light On” to her Official SoundCloud Page on Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2014).

The track was written by Amber Riley and Lisa Scinta along with Michael Mani and Jordan Omley of production duo The Jam.

“Leave a Light On” has been recorded by The Saturdays for their latest album, “Living for the Weekend,” out now via Fascination / Polydor Records.

Meanwhile, the “Glee” star is currently working on her upcoming debut album, which expected to be released later this year.

The still-untitled collection will be executively produced by Scott “Scooter” Braun, who also manages the music careers of Justin Bieber [Island Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records] and Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records].

Among the musicians confirmed for the album are Tommy Brown and Victoria Monet, who previously worked with Fifth Harmony [Epic Records], Cee-Lo Green [Elektra Records] and Naya Rivera [Columbia Records].
