Kelis’ 2001 sophomore album “Wanderland” is now streaming

American singer/songwriter Kelis’ sophomore studio collection “Wanderland” is now streaming on all digital streaming outlets.

Even though the album was not released in US markets, due to Kelis’ departure from Universal Music imprint Virgin Records, “Wanderland” was available in European markets and peaked to number thirteen on the UK Albums Chart.

Entirely produced by The Neptunes (aka Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo), the follow-up to 1999’s “Kaleidoscope” featured lead single “Young, Fresh n’ New,” as well as guest appearances from Pusha T (“Popular Thug”), Malice (“Daddy”), Roscoe (“Digital World”) and John Ostby (“Mr. U.F.O. Man”).

Kelis’ most recent studio collection, the David Andrew Sitek-produced “Food,” debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned two singles in the shape of “Jerk Ribs” and “Rumble.”

For her upcoming project, Kelis has teamed up with producers Daniel “Grades” Traynor (Kwabs, Lianne La Havas), Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike (Beyonce, Christina Aguilera) and Rowan “LOXE” Perkins (Nao, Jaz Karis).

Seinabo Sey announces new promotional single “Breathe”

Seinabo Sey has announced the details for her new single.

The Swedish singer/songwriter christened “Breathe” as the third promotional cut from her upcoming sophomore album under Virgin Records.

The track – available from April 26 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets – was written by Seinabo Sey alongside regular collaborators Magnus Lidehall, Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir.

Additionally, Sey co-penned Naughty Boy’s latest single “All or Nothing” (featuring Ray BLK and Wyclef Jean) alongside Philip Plested, Kane “KIN” Parfitt, and Wesley “ProducerWez” Muoria-Chaves.

Amber Mark enlists Andrew “Pop” Wansel for new single “Love Me Right”

American singer/songwriter Amber Mark has liberated her new single online.

“Love Me Right” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Love Me Right” were handled by Andrew “Pop” Wansel, who is also responsible for Jessie Ware’s “Midnight,” Alessia Cara’s “Scars to Your Beautiful,” Kehlani’s “Distraction,” Nicki Minaj’s “The Crying Game,” Jarryd James’ “Burning Out,” and Usher’s “Good Kisser.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mark’s upcoming project – featuring previous promotional single “Heatwave” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Jasmine Music in partnership with PMR Records and Virgin EMI Records.

The follow-up to 2017’s “3:33am” reportedly boasts further contributions from Mark Ralph (Years & Years), Two Inch Punch (Sabrina Claudio), Noah Breakfast (Hailee Steinfeld), Sarah Aarons (Demi Lovato), Jeff Gitty (Kelsey Lu), Andrew Wyatt (Dua Lipa) and Stint (Kia Victoria).

Alma releases new mixtape “Heavy Rules”

Finnish singer and songwriter Alma-Sofia Miettinen, professionally known as Alma, has released her new mixtape online.

“Heavy Rules” – featuring six new songs in the shape of “Legend,” “Dance for Me,” “Good Vibes, ” “Fake Gucci,” “BACK2U” and “Chit Chat” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The new project boasts guest appearances from Tove Styrke, Kiiara and MØ, as well as productions and songwriting contributions from Marco “MAG” Borrero, Priscilla Renea, Louis Schoorl, Noonie Bao, Hank Solo, Charli XCX, Johan Fransson, Andrei Kipahti, Sarah Hjellstrom, Jason Gill, and Axident.

Spice Girls reunite with Richard “Biff” Stannard for new collaboration

British girl group Spice Girls – composed of Melanie Brown, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm – have reunited with Richard “Biff” Stannard for a new collaboration.

The UK record producer and songwriter previously teamed up with the Spice Girls on international hit singles “Wannabe,” “2 Become 1,” “Mama,” “Spice Up Your Life,” “Viva Forever” and “Goodbye,” taken from the albums “Spice” (1996), “Spiceworld” (1997) and “Forever” (2000), respectively.

Stannard has also collaborated with group members on their solo projects, namely “Lullaby” (performed by Melanie B), “What Took You So Long” (performed by Emma Bunton), “Going Down” (performed by Melanie C) and “Generate the Flow” (performed by Victoria Beckham).

As mentioned in various media outlets, the Spice Girls are expected to release their second greatest hits compilation later this year via Virgin Records.

Their last album, 2000’s “Forever,” featuring the Rodney Jerkins-produced “Holler” and “Let Love Lead the Way,” topped the UK Albums Chart and peaked to number thirty-nine on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Corinne Bailey Rae reveals details for third album

Corrine Bailey Rae has revealed the details for her upcoming third album.

The British singer-songwriter christened her next studio collection “The Heart Speaks in Whispers” and will release it on May 13 via Virgin Records.

Lead single “Been to the Moon” – co-written by sisters Amber and Paris Strother – is now available for download via iTunes and all other online outlets.

Moreover, Steve Brown executive-produced “The Heart Speaks in Whispers.” The London based musician previously teamed up with Bailey Rae on her critically acclaimed sophomore album, 2010’s “The Sea.”

Emeli Sande hits the studio with Phatboiz

Emeli Sande has recently recorded new material with hitmakers Phatboiz.

The songwriting and production team consists of members Allen “Bizkit” Arthur, Clayton “Gravy” Reilly, and Keith “Butta” Justice.

It is yet to be known whether the above mentioned material will appear on the Scottish singer/songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album.

Notable songwriting and production credits by Phatboiz include “Meant to Be” by TLC [Epic Records], “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” by John Legend [Columbia Records] and “Unconditional” by Ne-Yo [Motown Records].

The trio have also confirmed placements on the next LPs by RaVaughn [Columbia Records], Luke James [N.A.R.S.] and MPrynt [Motown Records].

Meanwhile, Emeli Sande’s next project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Our Version of Events.” That collection debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and delivered hit singles “My Kind of Love” and “Next to Me.”

The “Heaven” star also co-wrote Rihanna’s “Half of Me” [Island Records], Katy Perry’s “It Takes Two” [Capitol Records], Leona Lewis’ “Trouble” [Syco Music] and Alicia Keys’ “Brand New Me” [RCA Records].
