Bishop Briggs confirms details for new album “Champion”

Bishop Briggs has confirmed the details for her upcoming sophomore album.

The British singer/songwriter christened her second studio collection “Champion” and will release it on November 8 via Island Records.

Current promotional single “Jekyll & Hide” – which was co-written by Briggs alongside Kristine “K. Flay” Flaherty and Joel Little – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming outlets.

The follow-up to 2018’s “Church of Scars” features additional contributions from Jimmy Napes (Labrinth, Tori Kelly), Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Rita Ora, Craig David), Wayne Hector (Mahalia, Emeli Sande), Jonny Coffer (Beyonce, Sam Smith) and John Newman (Paloma Faith, Jessie J).

Mahalia liberates debut album “Love and Compromise”

British singer/songwriter Mahalia Burkmar, known mononymously as Mahalia, has liberated her debut album online.

“Love and Compromise” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project features guest appearances from Hamzaa and Lucky Daye (“Regular People”), Ella Mai (“What You Did”), Burna Boy (“Simmer”) and Terrace Martin (“Good Company”).

“Love and Compromise” also boasts productions and songwriting contributions from Felix Joseph, Aston Rudi, Maths Time Joy, Alistair O’Donnell, Jonny Lattimer, Nathaniel J. Warner, Sounwave, Pop Wansel, JProof, Wayne Hector, Sam Dew, DJ Dahi, Kevin Roosevelt, and Larrance Dopson.

Mahalia teams up with Ella Mai for new single “What You Did”

British singer/songwriter Mahalia has teamed up with fellow recording artist Ella Mai for new single “What You Did,” which is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written Mahalia and Ella Mai alongside Felix Joseph (Jorja Smith, Kevin Garrett), Jameel “JProof” Roberts (Usher, Ariana Grande) and Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown).

Mahalia’s upcoming debut album “Love and Compromise” – featuring previous singles “Simmer,” “Do Not Disturb,” “I Wish I Missed My Ex” and “Square One” – will arrive on September 6 via Atlantic Records UK.

The highly-anticipated project boasts further contributions from Aston Rudi, Maths Time Joy, Alistair O’Donnell, Jonny Lattimer, J. Warner, Sounwave, Terrace Martin, Wayne Hector, Sam Dew, and Larrance Dopson.

Tori Kelly has shared her new promotional single online.

“Language” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Kelly alongside Audra Mae (Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson) and Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani, Janelle Monae).

Production duties on “Language” were handled by regular collaborator Jimmy Napes, whose resume boasts additional works with Sam Smith (“Too Good at Goodbyes”), Alicia Keys (“Hallelujah”), Mary J. Blige (“Right Now”), Lianne La Havas (“Wonderful”) and Rita Ora (“Velvet Rope”).

Kelly’s upcoming album “Inspired By True Events” – featuring previous singles “Sorry Would’ve Gone a Long Way” and “Change Your Mind” – is scheduled to arrive on August 9th via Schoolboy Records / Capitol Records.

The visual clip for “Simmer” – featuring Burna Boy – was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Wednesday (July 17, 2019).

The track was co-written by Kojey Radical alongside Wayne Hector (Tanya Lacey, Craig David), Felix Joseph (Jorja Smith, Maverick Sabre) and Jonah Christian (Normani, Snoh Aalegra).

Mahalia’s upcoming debut album “Love and Compromise” – featuring previous singles “I Wish I Missed My Ex” and “Do Not Disturb” – is scheduled to arrive on September 13 via Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US).

The highly-anticipated project yields additional contributions from Aston Rudi, Jonny Lattimer, Alastair O’Donnell, Nate Warner, Sam Dew, Pop Wansel, DJ Dahi, Sounwave, and Jennifer Decilveo.

Bishop Briggs has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter (born Sarah McLaughlin) posted the visual clip for “Champion” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (July 16, 2019).

The track was co-written by Kristine Flaherty (aka K.Flay) alongside Joel Little, whose other credits include Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down,” James Bay’s “Peer Pressure,” Marina’s “Handmade Heaven,” Jarryd James’ “Slow Motion,” Amy Shark’s “Never Coming Back,” and Lorde’s “Green Light.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Briggs’ upcoming sophomore album – featuring further contributions from Jimmy Napes, Wayne Hector, and Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett – is expected to arrive later this year via Island Records.
