Fergie releases sophomore album “Double Dutchess”

American singer/songwriter Stacy Ann Ferguson, known professionally as Fergie, has released her sophomore studio collection online.

“Double Dutchess” – featuring singles “L.A. Love (La La),” “M.I.L.F. $,” “Life Goes On” and “You Already Know” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2006’s “The Dutchess” boasts songwriting contributions from Diana Gordon (Rita Ora), Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani), Kristinia Stephens (Jennifer Lopez), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Britney Spears), Tayla Parx (Christina Aguilera), George Pajon Jr. (Macy Gray) and Rock City (Kelly Rowland).

On the production front, Fergie has worked with will.i.am (Justin Timberlake), Toby Gad (Alicia Keys), DJ Ammo (Sean Paul), Polow Da Don (Tamar Braxton), Keith Harris (Usher), RoccStar (Zendaya), Dr. Luke (Trey Songz), Cirkut (Ava Max) and Philip “Hardwork” Constable (Grace Sewell).

Charli XCX teams up with will.i.am for third album

Charli XCX has teamed up with will.i.am for her upcoming album.

The British singer/songwriter – real name Charlotte Aitchison – previously co-wrote “Boys and Girls” for will.i.am alongside the song’s co-producer Batso. The Pia Mia-featuring track peaked to number 21 on the UK Singles Chart.

As a producer, will.i.am’s resume boasts further works with Rita Ora (“Fall in Love”), Fergie (“Big Girls Don’t Cry”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Baby Love”), Usher (“OMG”), Mary J. Blige (“About You”), Cheryl (“3 Words”), Mariah Carey (“Heat”), Rihanna (“Photograph”), and Brick & Lace (“Buss a Shot”).

Meanwhile, XCX is expected to release her third studio collection later this year via Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US).

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional alliances with MNEK (Jax Jones), Ester Dean (Tinashe), BloodPop (Lady GaGa), Sasha Sloan (Idina Menzel), ROSTAM (Sky Ferreira) and Cass Lowe (Fifth Harmony).

Current single “After the Afterparty” – which XCX co-wrote alongside EYELAR and RAYE with production duties by Stargate, SOPHIE, and Fred Gibson – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

William Adams, known professionally as will.i.am, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, actor, musician, DJ, record producer and philanthropist.

He is best known as a founding member of the hip hop band The Black Eyed Peas, with whom he has received multiple awards.

will.i.am has also released four solo studio collections in the shape of “Lost Change” (2001), “Must B 21” (2003), “Songs About Girls” (2007) and “#willpower” (2013).

As a producer and songwriter, will.i.am helmed hit singles for Fergie (“Big Girls Don’t Cry”), Usher (“OMG”), Pussycat Dolls (“Beep”), Estelle (“American Boy”), Nicki Minaj (“Check it Out”) and John Legend (“Ordinary People”).

Pia Mia debuts new song “Justin Bieber”

Pia Mia has debuted a new song online.

The singer-songwriter posted the audio clip for “Justin Bieber” to her SoundCloud channel on Friday (May 06, 2016).

The track was written by Pia Mia along with Bianca “Blush” Atterberry (K. Michelle, Jessica Mauboy) and Chelsea Lena (Sabrina Carpenter, Chloe x Halle).

Production duties on “Justin Bieber” were collectively handled by Tommy Brown and Mr. Franks, who are also behind Meghan Trainor’s “Champagne Problems” [Epic] and Ariana Grande’s “Let Me Love You” [Republic].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Pia Mia is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring previous singles “Do It Again,” “Touch” and “Fuck With You” – later this year through Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts further contributions from will.i.am, MoZella, Harmony Samuels, Chantal Kreviazuk, Supa Dups, Rock City, DJ Mustard, Charlie Puth, Mojam, and Naughty Boy.

Rita Ora recruits Dr. Luke for sophomore album

According to a new interview with Billboard magazine, Rita Ora’s sophomore album will feature contributions from record producer and songwriter Dr. Luke.

Recent credits by Dr. Luke include Usher’s “I Don’t Mind” [RCA Records], Ne-Yo’s “She Don’t Know” [Motown Records], Fifth Harmony’s “This is How We Roll” [Epic Records] and Nicki Minaj’s “Only” [Republic Records].

The hitmaker – born Lukasz Gottwald – also worked with Kelly Clarkson [RCA Records], Maroon 5 [Interscope Records], Nicki Minaj [Republic Records], Rihanna [SRP Records] and Katy Perry [Capitol Records].

Meanwhile, Ora will release her next studio collection and follow-up to 2012’s “ORA” later this year via Roc Nation and Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project features further collaborations with will.i.am (Usher, Mariah Carey), Diplo (Madonna, Chris Brown), Tommy Brown (Ariana Grande, Jordin Sparks) and Devonte Hynes (Carly Rae Jepsen, Sky Ferreira).

Current single “Grateful” – taken from the original motion picture soundtrack “Beyond the Lights” – is now available for download via iTunes.

Robin Thicke has unveiled the official songwriting credits for his upcoming album, “Blurred Lines,” which is due in the United States on July 30 via Universal Music Group / Star Trak Entertainment / Interscope Records.

Lead single “Blurred Lines” was written by Robin Thicke along with Pharrell Williams, whose also working on the next projects by Beyonce Knowles [Columbia Records], Justin Timberlake [RCA Records], Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records] and Stacy Barthe [Motown Records].

Other album contributors include William Adams (Usher, Mary J. Blige), Timothy Mosley (Aaliyah, Chris Brown), Jerome Harmon (Keri Hilson, Demi Lovato), Lukasz Gottwald (Ciara, Nicki Minaj), Henry Walter (Rihanna, Adam Lambert) and James Gass (Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson).

Singer/songwriter Robin Thicke has revealed the official artwork and tracklist for his upcoming sixth album, “Blurred Lines,” which is due in the United States on July 30 via Universal Music Group / Star Trak / Interscope Records.

New single “Blurred Lines” was produced by Pharrell Williams, whose recent credits include “Lolita” by Leah LaBelle [Epic Records], “Sweet Life” by Frank Ocean [Def Jam Recordings] and “Lift Off” by Conor Maynard [Capitol Records].

Williams also confirmed placements on the next projects by Kelly Rowland [Republic Records], Mac Miller [Island Records], Beyonce Knowles [Columbia Records], Jennifer Hudson [RCA Records], Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records], Miley Cyrus [RCA Records], Stacy Barthe [Motown Records], Elijah Blake [Island Def Jam Recordings] and Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records].
