Zendaya teams up with Chris Brown for new single

Zendaya has revealed the details for her new single.

The actress-singer-songwriter christened “Something New” – featuring Chris Brown – as the first promotional cut from her upcoming second album.

Production duties on “Something New” were handled by Leon Thomas and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes of The Rascals (Fleur East), Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds (Madonna) and Antonio “Tony” Dixon (Justin Bieber).

Zendaya’s sophomore studio collection is scheduled for release later this year through Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

Other album contributors include Timbaland (Justin Timberlake), Diane Warren (Leona Lewis), RoccStar (Prince Royce), Talay Riley (Keri Hilson), Deputy (Rihanna), Taylor Parks (Meghan Trainor), and Jim Beanz (Craig David).

Zendaya drafts Diane Warren for sophomore album

Zendaya has drafted the songwriting services of Diane Warren.

“In the studio with @Zendaya. She is killing this!!! Fucking #1 Smash!!!” the legendary songwriter tweeted on Wednesday (July 01, 2015).

Warren is responsible for hit singles including Toni Braxton’s “Unbreak My Heart” [LaFace Records], Whitney Houston’s “I Learned from the Best” [Arista Records] and Christina Aguilera’s “I Turn to You” [RCA Records].

She has also contributed to the next projects by Jojo [Atlantic Records], Leona Lewis [Island Records], Prince Royce [RCA Records], Brandy [MBK Entertainment] and Lea Michele [Columbia Records].

Meanwhile, Zendaya is scheduled to release her sophomore studio collection later this year through Hollywood Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Zendaya” boasts further songwriting contributions from Babyface (Beyonce, Colbie Caillat), J. Que (Ciara, Keri Hilson), Tiffany Fred (Sevyn, Jennifer Hudson) and Talay Riley (Prince Royce, Ellie Goulding).

Singer and actress Zendaya has recently recorded new material with Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley, James “Jim Beanz” Washington and Talay Riley.

“Latest nights were my greatest nights @timbaland @talayriley @beanzbeanzbeanz,” she posted to her Instagram account.

Riley is known for co-writing Wilkinson’s “Afterglow” f/ Becky Hill [Virgin EMI Records], Nathan Sykes’ “More Than You’ll Ever Know” [Global Entertainment] and Ellie Goulding’s “In My City” [Polydor Records].

He also confirmed placements on the next projects by Usher [RCA Records], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records], Tamera Foster [Syco Music] and Jason Derulo [Beluga Heights / Warner Bros. Records].

Meanwhile, Timbaland and Beanz have served as prominent producers and songwriters for the original motion picture soundtrack, “Empire,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Their other credits include Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater” [Geffen Records], Danity Kane’s “Want It” [Atlantic Records], Jennifer Hudson’s “Pocketbook” [J Records] and Demi Lovato’s “All Night Long” f/ Missy Elliot [Hollywood Records].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Zendaya is scheduled to release her sophomore album later this year under Hollywood Records. The still-untitled LP follows 2013’s “Zendaya,” which spawned international hit single “Replay.”

Other producers on the highly-anticipated CD are Babyface (Jess Glynne, Sevyn Streeter), Antonio Dixon (Justin Bieber, Colbie Caillat), Khris Riddick-Tynes (Ariana Grande, Delta Goodrem) and RoccStar (Fergie, Chris Brown).

On the songwriting front, Zendaya has teamed with Tiffany Fred (Tamar Braxton, Pixie Lott), Patrick “J. Que” Smith (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez), Taylor Parks (Elle Varner, Tori Kelly), Eric Bellinger (Brandy, Teyana Taylor) and Paul “Phamous” Shelton (Nick Jonas, Natasha Bedingfield).

Timbaland has hinted at a new collaboration with Zendaya.

“@Zendaya !!! Welcome to Team Timbo !!! Get ready !!!” he posted to his official Instagram account on Friday (March 06, 2015).

Timbaland is known for his work with Aaliyah (“Try Again”), Missy Elliot (“Work It”), Justin Timberlake (“Take Back the Night”), Nelly Furtado (“Say it Right”), Beyonce (“Drunk in Love”) and Jennifer Hudson (“Walk it Out”).

The legendary record producer – born Timothy Mosley – also worked with the likes of V. Bozeman [Epic Records], Demi Lovato [Hollywood Records], Priyanka Chopra [Interscope Records] and Rihanna [SRP Records].

Meanwhile, Zendaya’s next studio collection is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year via Hollywood Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly features collaborations with Babyface (Alicia Keys, Colbie Caillat), Antonio Dixon (Omarion, Craig David) and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes (Ariana Grande, Keri Hilson).

Zendaya has enlisted the songwriting and production services of Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Antonio “Tony” Dixon and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes for her upcoming sophomore album.

The trio are responsible for Ariana Grande’s “Honeymoon Avenue” [Republic Records], RaVaughn’s “Best Friend” [Columbia Records] and Jessica Mauboy’s “Can I Get a Moment” [Sony Music Entertainment Australia].

Edmonds, Dixon and Riddick-Tynes also contributed to the next projects by Foxes [RCA Records], Jess Glynne [Atlantic Records], Samantha Jade [Sony Music Australia] and Keri Hilson [Interscope Records].

Meanwhile, Zendaya is expected to release her next studio collection and follow-up to her self-titled debut album later this year via Hollywood Records.

The still-untitled project features additional alliances with RoccStar (Beyonce, Chris Brown), Tiffany Fred (Pixie Lott, Tamar Braxton), Patrick “J. Que” Smith (Ciara, Jennifer Lopez) and Taylor Parks (Tori Kelly, Jason Derulo).

Zendaya has added Tiffany Fred and Patrick “J. Que” Smith to the list of contributors for her upcoming sophomore album.

Fred previously co-wrote international hit single “Replay” for Zendaya along with Paul Phamous and Mick Schultz. The track peaked at number forty on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Meanwhile, Smith is known for co-writing and / or producing “Truth Is” by Fantasia Barrino [RCA Records], “Where it Hurts” by Tamar Braxton [Epic Records] and “Best Thing I Never Had” by Beyonce [Columbia Records].

As previously reported, Zendaya is thought to release her highly-anticipated new studio collection in early 2015 via Hollywood Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Zendaya” will boast additional alliances with RoccStar (Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson), Taylor Parks (Fifth Harmony, Tori Kelly) and Eric Bellinger (Sevyn Streeter, Teyana Taylor).

Demi Lovato reunites with Nikki Williams and Mitch Allan

Demi Lovato is making new music with Nikki Williams and Mitch Allan.

Williams and Allan previously co-wrote “Heart Attack” for Lovato along with Aaron Phillips, Sean Douglas and Jason Evigan. The track peaked at number ten on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Among the other musicians Williams has collaborated with are Sia [RCA Records], Bebe Rexha [Warner Bros. Records] and Timbaland [Interscope Records]. Her debut album is expected to be released in 2015.

Meanwhile, Allan’s songwriting and production resume includes works for Selena Gomez (“Save the Day”), Fifth Harmony (“Miss Movin’ On”), Zendaya (“Bottle You Up”), G.R.L. (“Don’t Talk About Love”) and Kat Graham (“Power”).

Lovato is currently working on her next studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Demi.” That album spawned hit singles “Made in the USA,” “Neon Lights” and “Really Don’t Care” (featuring Cher Lloyd).
